Thanks for the review! I was really thinking about buying one of these, but it appears to do the exact same thing my $30 hamilton beach ice cream machine does, aside from extruding through the bottom for the "soft serve" effect (rather poorly executed on their end, in my opinion). I was hoping there would be some kind of inner cooling mechanism, rather than the frozen drum that I'm currently using. That means you have to do so much extra work and cleaning all for one little batch! (Even if you freeze these things for 24 hours, they only stay cold enough to actively chill the ice cream for about 30 minutes.) You did a great job of demonstrating the product. Thanks again for the video and info.
I have the cuisinart gelataria machine and I prefer to make custard base ice cream. It's a little more work but it's so much better, creamer and richer. Heat cream, milk and vanilla beans. Mix egg yolks and sugar and vanilla extract. 1/4 cup at a time whisk the hot cream/milk into the eggs to temper them (slowly bring up their temp or they will scramble) Mix together and then heat until thick. Cool overnight then pour into machine. It's totally worth the extra time and work if you want real ice cream shop style ice cream.

I just take store bough ice cream, put a blow dryer to it for like 30 seconds and keep mixing it. Boom. Soft serve

It doesn't turn to butter if you overmix ice cream base - it simply becomes very thick - too thick to dispense as soft serve.

ive been looking at utube videos for an ice cream maker for my grandkids . this is cute but it has a lot if bad reviews. also.... the ice cream looks like the machine is pooping. which is prob the only entertainment my grandkids will get out of it.
If you can afford it check out the Breville Smart Scoop. No freezing any bowls before hand! make batch after batch! it is 300-400 dollars online but worth it. make batch after batch at around 30 min each.

Lol this looks like a legit terrible product.
It would work alot better if he used an actual soft serve mix you buy instead of trying to make his own and assuming that thing is made for it.

I agree this is a fail. I watched several reviews of this machine and they are all fails.
You can freeze remaining left on freezer and will become hardened ice cream:)
HOW DOES ONE CLEAN UP AFTER USING THIS MACHINE? I LIFTED THE ICE BUCKET OUT TO POUR THE EXCESS ICE CREAM INTO A BIG BOWL AND I HAD A GROSS ICE CREAM MESS INSIDE THE MACHINE BECAUSE THERE'S A HOLE IN THE BOTTOM OF THE ICE BUCKET. WHICH I'D FORGOTTEN ABOUT. SO HOW DOES ONE CLEAN THIS MACHINE?
The mix looks a bit like poop after being dispensed. Maybe should've done a review with vanilla or strawberry.

It won't turn to butter if you use less whipping cream, more half and half 2% milk.

If for adults would recommend an normal ice cream machine. With kids go for this one. Any kid loves using this... even if it doesn't taste good... they can make here own ice cream and you can pay them :) cheaper then outside and kids actually doing something. It sure not best quality of for a single person wold recommend he normal ice cream lid

Round #3 sucked due to bad recipe (don't try the cheesecake ice cream recipe from the manual, I used half the required creamcheese and it was way too much still! ) round #4 hasnt started yet but I have bought some store bought since..I will try again..make sure the bowl is 100% solid frozen and don't pull it out till you are 100% ready to go.

Can’t get this to work. We followed directions, but Ice cream does not harden at all. Product seems like a bust.

Looks like machine is pooping like a failed product soft serve.At unbelievably low 50 W it could be a failed product and it must have separate freezer to freeze its bowl for 12 hours .

I would not call this a review. He showed us how to use it but did not give us a review at the end.

I just buy ice cream in the carton, let it melt a bit and then whip it with a spoon in a cup or bowl. Much easier and I get whatever flavor I want
