Great episode man! I am subscribing to your channel. I also have a podcast as well! Special Delivery Show 🌸Please check me out. Not going to lie you look like a young Dave coulier with a rocking beard!!
Dude this was such a great episode. As a movie 🍿 lover myself this was a real treat!! You give me a young Dave coulier with a Rocking Beard. I have a podcast too please check mine out! I subbed to yours.
This was my favorite show you guys have done. I loved the 80s, music, movies..all of i. It was such a creative and self-expressive decade in our lives. I miss that and as artists, we need to revisit that and create quality movies again.
I remember Terry Kiser on Blossom...and I still remember what he said too.."I believe 3 things, Ricky...Disco is a vile an disgusting term that should be purged from the language.. Pat Boone's version of Tutti Frutti is a crime against nature...and if Mama Cass and Karen Carpenter had just shared that ham sandwich, they'd both be alive today" Great show guys! Great memories! ❤
Hey You Guys!!! Awesome podcast listen. Mike Schulte is the best and stoked to see Brotherly Love Podcast having him on! Let’s double down on some “Brotherly Love” from The Goonies House!
My Fridays have become exponentially better since I discovered this Podcast! I must say though, anyone that assumed Heath Ledger was still merely a pretty boy near the time of his Death had not seen his work in Candy, Brokeback Mountain, and much more. He was utterly remarkable as an Actor. 🖤
Why can't it be the mid to late 80's, and early 90's again? Pop culture was unbeatable back then for numerous reasons. A lot of great points were made in this video! Somebody build me a DeLorean so i can blast back to circa' 87-93 and live there forever. lol
This was a hit! I wish this episode was longer ❤ We love a good movie connection. I love how we get to raise our kids with these great movies. Chris Farley and John Candy are two actors who were gone too soon but brought so much joy, even to the newer generations.
Outerbanks was great! I keep hoping the next season is coming. I love that you compared it to Goonies! It really is like a modern day version. I love you guys so much and I thank you for bringing the best of our past back to the forefront. Keep going!❤❤❤
Oh wow! Wow! Wow! Hahaha, everyone was Joey today, including Mike, excited about what was being said excited about what you had to say Joey's way. A year later and Andy totally found his voice. I am still trying to figure out what was different today. Andy tells us what happened. I like the way Mike/ your drummer fit in like a perfect puzzle piece. 😄👏👏👏learned a few things as usual. Great show.
@ameliamuscat3021 it had me laughing 😃 😀 I was so surprised. He held back for a year. I am still curious about what it was about today's show 🤔 that made him show us there's another side to him.
Love how passionate you guys are about everything you discuss. personally I'm really loving Shogun right now. its funny hearing you guys talking about music and how back in the day there really wasn't just rap, pop, metal, it was just music. I'm 45 so i have lived through that era. i have everything on my playlists from metal to classical, in an hour of listening my playlist it may play audioslave, Whitney Houston, Fleetwood mac, then to beastie boys, then to Nessun Dorma. i love just about anything, as long as it makes me feel something :)
Probably one of my top pod da pod episodes!! I love the nostalgia and the movies discussed - I laughed out loud as I listened on my commute to work! Keep it going, fellas! 🎉🎉
This was my favorite episode of the pod so far! Would love to see these 3 on his podcast! I am from the Midwest (NE), and I had never heard of his podcast! All good things, loved this one!
I love this pod! You all are my people when it comes to movies, nostalgia and music. I was born in ‘81 and have such a fondness for the 80s/90s. I wish I had a group of friends to shoot the sht with about all things like this. Keep up the great content!
GUYS. My daughters and we’re sitting around the table, talking about a bunch of random things a couple of which were b**bs and phone cases not at the same time, but those two subjects came up… The moment I got on Facebook after that conversation there were ads for phone cases with b**bs on them. NO JOKE. 😱
I don't think that I've ever seen Secret Of My Success. The theme song was done by Night Ranger. Thanks for mentioning my two favorite underrated movies(Tango & Cash and Toy Soldiers). Interesting that you mentioned three Sean Astin movies(Goonies, Toy Soldiers, and Encino Man). You guys should talk about underrated movies. Add The Last Boy Scout to that list).
I've said time and time again and even posted once. I would love to see you 3 bring back movies like The Holy Grail, The Life of Brian anything with Mel Brooks! Those types. I think you all would nail those!!❤❤
Secret of my success love this movie. The tune is the same in Ferris bueller 🎵Oh yeah 🎵 Love listening to movie nostalgia 😍 I'm in my 40s and my kids have grown up watching all the 80s movies too!
such an awesome and exciting episode! good job bros!! literally after this episode ended, i watched The Secret of My Success......was amazing! really enjoyed it! 😍😝
I LOVED the Hold Overs. And I’m so happy Mary the lunch lady won the supporting actress Oscar. It was touching and funny and aggravating and sweet all at the same time. Paul Gamondi is brilliant at playing characters that aren’t likable. Sometimes he starts out as a gruff and arrogant and stays not the guy you root for. Or like in The Hold Over he was the gruff old man who was just so set in his ways, but then got his ruff edges smoothed over little by little from Mary the lunch lady, and then by the student. Realizing by the end that the kid was this hurt kid who was basically ignored by his Mom and Step Dad. And then because of a bunch of unfortunate mistakes the kid made and the teacher ultimately let him have. To throwing himself under the bus to save the kid from getting kicked out of school. It was a beautiful movie
Happy Friday Lawrence Brothers ❤ I agree with Joe on Alexa lol. I am always yelling at my Alexa 😅 I am with Andy on his dog. I love my dog, Dodge so much. Vape and and weed stores are EVERYWHERE, where you look
I love the movie passion!!!❤ My hubby and I watched "Can't buy me Love" for our first date. And we've been movie goer ever since. But you're right the movies lost their appeal. The stories are not that great anymore. But thank you for bringing Mike on your show. I love the theories.😍
We need to bring family wholesome family oriented shows and movies. It's sad and Joey says it like it is. The emotional awwww moments are gone but of course hint hint it takes 1 person to bring it back. 😢🙄😉
The original Batman movie is the best! I saw in theaters with my friends in Hamilton, Montana at the Rainbow Theater at 8-years old, it was 2 months until my 9th birthday. It’s one of the best memories of childhood independence. Also saw Independence Day in the same theater at 15 years old, the summer I turned 16. Both released in June and both still two of my favorite movies. Stand By Me is my favorite movie, came out on my 6th birthday! Can’t wait until my kid is old enough to enjoy these movies with me.
I love that you ended with Secret of My Success. Awesome movie, title song by Night Ranger. I used to have it on VHS so now I need to find it on DVD, hopefully un-remastered. 😎
I just commented this so I'll ask you. I didn't finish the Secret of My Success. I just wasn't in the mood for the scene where he was hearing the sex next door so I just watched something else and haven't gone back to watch it. But it reminds me of the old movie and play "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying". Is that what it's based on?
@@rachelle_banksI honestly couldn’t tell you. I was in my very early 20’s when I first saw it. It seemed in the same vein as Working Girl but bawdier & my then favorite band doing the title song was a bonus to me. 😎
Matt, please don’t buy into the idea that you’re less of a man if you don’t have kids. Just like women aren’t less than for not having children. I do hope that you do have a kid one day since it seems like that would bring you joy.
Lmaooo I feel bad for all 3 Joe's daughters, they won't get away with anything with basically 3 overprotective Italian dads!!! 🤣😂🤣🤣😂😂😂 I'm sure the eldest is annoyed now as a teen but she'll realize how lucky she is as she grows up ❤❤❤ this is such a blessing ❤
Someone said that when actors get you in with comedy then their character has a tragedy, the audience is already captured from the laughter so when the tragedy happens they're invested and end up crying even more.
AWESOME to see Mike on here..!! I discovered Confused Breakfast from the Brotherly Love episode with Bert..!! And I wondered…if you guys ever checked out Confused podcast…well…I got my answer..! Awesome guys!!
Thanks so much for having me on! Absolute pleasure to talk to you about movies, life and music! Can’t wait to be your drummer😂 -The Viking
You look exactly like Sami Zayn lol
lol- not the first time I have heard that!
Great episode! I love both of these podcasts so to have them collide and collab…genius 👍🏻👏🏻
It’s so good to hear people talk about Keaton’s Batman with so much passion… those movies made me a comic fan when I was a kid..🙌
I love listening to Matt and Andy talk about their nieces with so much love and protection.
Mike is our drummer! You can’t have him permanently but you can definitely borrow him haha! Great episode!
😂😂😂
Thanks guys!
This was my favorite show you guys have done. I loved the 80s, music, movies..all of i. It was such a creative and self-expressive decade in our lives. I miss that and as artists, we need to revisit that and create quality movies again.
Great pod guys. I didn't want it to end!
Ugh the mere mention of Chris Farley made my eyes well up.😥 Freaking loved that guy so much.

Agreed! Movie chat gets me every time!
Two great podcasts coming together. Awesome episode. Looking for to the other side of this cross over too. Thank you Bert.
Glad you enjoyed it!
56:16 When Andy is in his element. Discussing & scaling Batman’s over the 30+ years is EVERYTHING 💜.
My jaw dropped when I saw the pictures of the costumes from Jurassic Park and The Goonies! They literally said copy and paste!
“Thats the best outro I’ve ever heard” lol
SO AWESOME 😎
Breakfast Club is my all time favorite movie! I love 80s movies.
Why can't it be the mid to late 80's, and early 90's again? Pop culture was unbeatable back then for numerous reasons. A lot of great points were made in this video! Somebody build me a DeLorean so i can blast back to circa' 87-93 and live there forever. lol

@ameliamuscat3021 it had me laughing 😃 😀 I was so surprised. He held back for a year. I am still curious about what it was about today's show 🤔 that made him show us there's another side to him.
Whenever Matt starts talking about AI look at Andy's face 😂
I love when you guys talk about the 80s music and movies ♥️❤️

Watching Joes face drop more and more at 8:45. I felt that in my soul as the mom of a 14 year old boy.
GUYS. Im goin to go watch Weekend at Bernie’s right after this show. Im 39 and I have never seen it lol
I don't think that I've ever seen Secret Of My Success. The theme song was done by Night Ranger. Thanks for mentioning my two favorite underrated movies(Tango & Cash and Toy Soldiers). I watched them film 8-bit Christmas in a mall near me. It was cool to see because that doesn’t happen a lot here 😅
Great show
Everyone Hit the Thumbs Up Button!!!
Matt, please don’t buy into the idea that you’re less of a man if you don’t have kids. Just like women aren’t less than for not having children. I do hope that you do have a kid one day since it seems like that would bring you joy.
When I was scrolling through quickly and saw the thumbnail. I thought it was Sammy Zayne haha
Haven't seen this yet, but dude in the thumbnail looks like Sami Zayne lol. I really thought it was him. I'm going to watch now
Finally I found someone with the same thought lol! I was literally scrolling the comments looking for this haha!
I feel like they would all be so fun to drink with.
Annie Potts is in Young Sheldon as well!
When I read The Good Earth , I felt like I was watching a movie 🎥

Mac Miller is actually from Pittsburgh, but close ;)
Someone said that when actors get you in with comedy then their character has a tragedy, the audience is already captured from the laughter so when the tragedy happens they're invested and end up crying even more.
Fun fact.. Liam neeson is my cousin - distant- but still he’s my cousin 😊
Oh my goodness, I live in the same town as Mike! We have 25 mutual Facebook friends. How weird!
I needed out. Keaton, all the way. I still miss the old records!
