One of the latest offerings in the helmet audio space is the XSound 3 helmet speaker set by iASUS. With 45mm drivers, lightweight aluminum construction, and an ubiquitous 3.5mm pin, the kit ticks all the right boxes. But will having all the right features translate to the right performance? This October, iASUS was kind enough to send us a set for review. Let's find out what's what....

Thank you for the info. It's not possible for me to try everything out. So reviews like yours make that possible. For that I thank you.
Awesome review! I was on the fence between the JBL 45mm speakers and the Iasus Xsound 3 speakers.
I just ordered the Iasus today!
I'm so glad our review helped you! I'm still using the iASUS speakers and I love them.
I went with the Cardo Freecom 4+ with the 42mm JBL speakers and they’re pretty good for around town. At highway speeds I lose most of the music to wind noise. I recommended inexpensive Sennheiser earbuds above all else though.
Get excited! While they may be small, they pack a big punch.
I dont know what to do because there are so many mixed reviews with these and most other helmet communication systems. I think most people just slap them in the helmet and don't worry about getting the spacing from their ears right. I like my sena 10s but id like some more volume and some bass.
Does the Sena 10s allow you to swap out speakers. The iASUS XSound3 kit is just a speaker upgrade, not a stand-alone comms system. You may be able to use these speakers to get better sound from your existing unit.
thxs for the good advise and video
She sounded very clear during the call. I have a Boom Audio N02 Full-Face Harley D helmet. Do you know if iAsus XSound 3 speakers would work for me?
Alex, thanks for your comment! As a point of interest I want to clarify the audio in the video wasn't the actual audio from the speakers, Carrie was using a recording device on her end. What's important is you can tell from our conversation we had no problem hearing each other.
The Boom N02 has its speakers built-in, so unless the helmet has a standard 3.5mm audio jack the speakers connect to, you wouldn't be able to swap out for a different set of speakers. Otherwise you'd have to use an entire different comm system to use the XSound3 set.
How’s the music sound at 70-80 mph o can’t hear anything at 45+ with the 10s. Did you hook an amp to them?
No amp in my setup, just the Cardo and the iASUS speakers. Music is fully audible at 80mph, looses some depth but volume is fine.
I'm not insane! 🎶 😆😆😆
So just get a cheap Sena SF2, and replace the speakers!
Sena is not cheap.
