      You should still use 5%maximum. You may not have sdnsitive skin but that doesn't mean is good, your skin simply hasn't react to it aesthetically. Not having sensitive skin is great and a curse 'cause you could be using a lot of shit and not know it right away and waste time on things that on the long run weren't beneficial.

    Before, my skin wasn't smooth and had dark spots. However now, after using this littleexetra vitamin C face serum, everything has transformed. My skin is much softer and brighter. Those dark spots have nearly gone. Now my skin looks shiny and radiant, which I really like. The best thing? I do not need to apply as much makeup anymore because this serum works so well! It doesn't feel sticky, a thing is fantastic for me. The serum goes into my skin fast and doesn't leave any leftovers.

      i have oily skin too but i guess mine is just more sensitive. my skin hated this serum, i really wanted to like it because everyone else did but it worked horribly for me. it was just a sticky mess that pilled easily and gave me red and irritated skin. i turned away from niacinamide but have since tried it again in the form of a different serum which a much lower percentage and my skin loves it! 10% definitely isn’t for everyone

      My normal skin don't tolerate this or the majority of The Ordinary products. I had a burning reaction in my skin with this niacinamide. It's a product not for all and you need use with care. Many people don't know that and buy for the product popularity of influencers. I tried a 5% niacinamide of another brand withouth problem. It was soo good in my skin. The problem is the Zinc that is a very delicate component not for all and is worse with the high niacinamide concentration. It's only recommend for acne o very oil skin.

      God loves you and calls you to repentance. Tomorrow is not a promise, and God does not want you to die in sin; but to repent and believe in Jesus Christ.
      That is why Jesus Christ (God made Man) died on the cross. You broke the Law, but Christ paid your fine. He suffered in your place, as your Substitute, and rose again after three days, now seated at the right hand of the Father; He is King over all.
      "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16).

The reason I don't use Ordinary niacinamide is because I find it a bit too sticky, but it's fine. I'm sorry. I disagree with this because I'm a black woman and 2 to 5% does nothing for my skin tone. The same for vitamin C. I think people forget that some of this "research" is only done on light skin hence the it'll make your skin "red". The darker you are, your skin is not going to turn red and in some cases like me you have to go up in strength. If a product doesn't say how much niacimide and vitamin c is in it, I won't buy it. I only see results if it's in the double digits. AND, research also shows the dark skin can take higher strength products with no issue and DOES in some cases require a high strength to see results.

      I’ve seen derms of color(black and Indian) say the opposite for certain products bc our skin is very prone to hyperpigmentation and not necessarily redness. 10% niacinamide irritated the hell out of my skin and damaged my skin barrier but 5% has been amazing. melanin does offer more protection from sun exposure for example but our skin is darker doesn’t mean it’s “tougher”. Everyone’s skin is different it’s safer to start out safe when it comes to new products.

Ofc they didn’t work and my face got worse the more I used them. It wasn’t until a few months ago that I went with another doctor and istg she is the best. Not only she recommended verified and more affordable brands but also she understands my dislike for using no make up (my old derma told me no make up for one year despite having my face red and scarred) so she recommended me a good base :)

If your skin is able to tolerate the product you may try to go up to 10% like the ordinary and check how it goes because it’s undeniable that people would go for this because it’s on a fair/cheap price compared to other brands. • @barsha9518
    @barsha9518 Рік тому +103

    I cannot stress this enough! High concentration of niacinamide is very potent, and should be used with extreme caution, especially for sensitive, melanin-rich skin tones. The irritation, or the damage to skin-barrier health, is not always palpable immediately, the impact can often be felt after sustained usage for quite a long period of time. The negative impact not only limits itself to acne, but can also sometimes extend to allergic dermatitis. I have learnt it the hard way. Skincare is extremely subjective, high percentage of niacinamide can work for you, but be a bit gentle with your skin, and always do a patch test for atleast 15-20 days (sounds improbable, I know, but it is always better to err on the side of caution, isn't it?)

    This stuff absolutely stings but its the only thing that got my acne in order. I did have a "bloom" in the first weeks of use but is subsided within 2 weeks. I have minimal breakouts now and nearly at the "glass skin" stage. I only use this once a day. Naturium has a 12% Niacinamide 2% Zinc serum that doesn't feel as potent which might been a good thing for people that want to try this, no sting at all on my skin. This isn't for everyone but I hope they don't stop making it.

    My skin is lowkey more on the dry side (espeshally the winter) But it will get oily During hotter seasons. I’ve used this product for 4 months (I got it during the Fall/Winter) and It has keep my skin from being dry. I don’t overly use a ton- just a couple squirts here and there, and it helped with my skins Tone and redness. It never makes my Skin itchy and my skin is really sensitive to skincare. Me being a sensitive dry skin person, This product isn’t as bad as he’s explaining it, and it depends on your skin type. It’s not an expensive brand and they have a small/big bottle size option so try it. If you have what I have I recommend :D

    thank you! this worked terribly for my skin, i used to use it when i was a newbie to skincare and thought it was weird that i didn’t notice any difference for me since it was so highly praised. i thought that niacinamide must’ve just been a no go for my skin. which was weird because i’d never heard of anyone else have any trouble with it. until i found a korean alternative at a much lower percentage and thought i’d give it a go. and it works beautifully for my skin! 5% was definitely the way to go for me

      @@mile_851 your Skin can only absorb 5% it doesn’t matter if it has 10% or 30% the rest isn’t absorbed. It hast to do whether your skin can tolerate it or not. If it can’t tolerate 5% then it can’t tolerate 1% either
