Look up a local conservation place near you - or a local museum/park. You’ll be able to find someone who could recommend some of the best local plants to help with a shoreline and avoiding erosion. You’ll likely want to find plants that have deep and elaborate root systems.

Good luck trying to grow duckweed out in a tank with goldfish. My fancy goldfish and their babies always munched it faster than I could grow it out.😅🤣 In the end I moved some into outdoor grow out tubs and I now have a constant supply of duckweed for goldfish snacks. I have hornwort and jungle vals covering about 60% of their tanks so they still have the benefit of live plants still.😊
Planted pond lets go! It'll make a great plant propagation area too if you want some for your other tanks or to sell.

They are gonna grow like weeds in there! Plus I am really looking forward to the greenhouse as well. Been following one Koi channel and the trips to Japan to see their fishery breeding greenhouses have been so much fun.

If you put a couple inches of sand in your tanks it will help filter your tanks and store beneficial bacteria, it will also grow plants really well because goldfish produce so much waste, as you well know 😁.

Thinking about getting an 150 gallon rubbermaid stock tank. To turn it into an indoor pond too. How many common goldfish can fit in that safely even as they grow? Because I know they can get fairly big and live 10 to 15 years and I'd like to keep them for their life. Hopefully without needing to switch the tank up.

As a floridian, working for florida fish and wildlife. A 300 gallon stock tank will not cut it for a gator and even a baby gator, and on top of that, I don't know about new hampshire but in florida you need a permit to own an alligator, but I get that it's a joke, and I laughed, you take really good care of your animals and I hope you continue to do what you enjoy
could totally put a caiman in one though! maybe a dwarf one to accommodate full size adult specs tho.
hey luke if you see this i have a plant suggestion that works great in my goldie's tank that you could try. its called lucky bamboo and its impossible for the fish to eat and grows really tall and fast. i got mine at home depot for 5 dollars

I figured the alligator was fake because of how much Luke seems to care for his animals, but I was scared for a second when he said he was a little impulsive.
