This is a weird compliment but I enjoy how this movie is written similarly to Rain World itself. You learn the rules of this movie by just watching. You don't realize it at first, but then you realize that this is about a new journey for a new slugcat every time the previous one dies, just by seeing it happen a few times.
Like Hunter's limited number of days, but a limited number of deaths instead. And each time you die you become a different slugcat with slightly different stats and appearance. That does sound really cool as a mod idea.

the easiest way is to wait until fancycats is ported to steam, then randomize until you find something interesting. (every randomization is interesting)
Honestly,with How much my internet hates livestreams,i decided to wait until the Premier turned into a proper video,since premieres seem to work kinda similarly to lives. Despite the literal trailer and the sheer ammount of people though,i didint expect It to actualy be a Full lenght movie... Also,yes i do plan on leaving my thoughts here a third time once i watch the video, because i feel like It... And also because i think It boosts the algorithm.
Great movie, genuinely worth the wait,and i Can Tell quite a Lot of effort was Put into even the simplest edit. Overall,great job to everyone. i dont know How much coordination there was between each person,but the balance of normal people and complete shitposters was pretty Nice too. While i like memes,even i have a limit for shitposts, however no one spammed too many memes for me,so Thats good i guess. Overall, while some would call this "a barely coherent rain world playthrough where every death changed a fuckton of things", i personaly have and forever Will call this a masterpiece of movie making.
oh this is fantastic!! both in presentation and conceptually. i know the randomised slugcat appearances was through fancy slugcats, but what about the occasional gameplay tweaks/abilities? was that a separate mod itself? i know it's already been said, but DAMN would it be cool to have something like this be an actual rw mod. the randomised scugs are so silly hehe
I used fancy cat mod to make a random slugcat and would then use a random generator to pick from a pool of kind of ability mods I had selected. in the end the video ended up useing a couple dozen all together but most of the work was simply done outside of the game editing files and activating mods.

So if there's an explanation I missed it, but from what I can tell the gist of things is that each player has one life to beat Rain World while going through a checklist of sorts. Additionally each person gets two quirks, edit their own video, and it's all cut together in order from who made how much progress. That about right?
so i originally started with the idea, every time i die, slugcat is randomized. by the time i was finished with all that work i was so tired, but i had the idea, hand an editor each a slugcat, and they can edit it however they want.
