Using a set of 3 of these rods and reels. Absolutely love them! My casting has massively improved and playing a decent lump is a different ball game! Highly recommend these. I love mine!!

Hi Mate. Thanks for the comment. The new Ultra will give you a bit more speed and power when casting. The handle does look different but gives you more grip to help with casting. hope that helps.

I have a set of 4 rods myself and they are absolutely stunning! The handle really is something else, and the accuracy of the casts is incredible!
Just one piece of advice, I suggest that you change the thumbnail of the video to something more engaging. As I was scrolling through my feed I almost didn't notice it.

Certainly a hefty price tag! What reels do you use?
I use daiwa emblem reels
cycle and do carp and predator fishing and in both categories shimano is a big player! But with the prices and delivery times of recent years, they really put themselves out of the game! What a madhouse almost 800 euros for a spinning reel a freaking reel! Really they have gone completely insane. I wouldn't even dare to fish with it!
These reels represent Shimano's very top end rods and reels, hence the price tag. I expect the same can be seen in the cycling world, where leading edge products have high prices. We appreciate they're not going to be to everyones price, taste or requirements and thankfully Shimano do produce a wide range of great reels from Super expensive to more affordable offerings.
@@aarondavies8486 I would disagree, but the T-Rex is a fantastic reel for the price and would happily use them for the majority of our fishing! Bombproof

Hi Bob, we appreciate your honesty. Most of our videos are heavy on the tech spec and we wanted to produce something a bit different which showed the rods and reels in use. If you're looking for a more in-depth techy review on the reels, this will soon be available on the Total Carp website.
