I just got mine but I am to scared to fly it
I joined the AMA even before I joined a club. Thanks for promoting it on your channel. In these times with the FAA wanting to RULE every little mosquito in the sky we need all the support we can get. Great video and the squeaky camera doesn't bother me at all. Abby does such a great job.

My girlfriend and I love your videos. I have many RC cars and trucks from 1/12 to 1/5. Drift cars, on road,crawlers, trucks ,personally I love the drift cars the most. Also have three planes including The apprentice ,the stratos and a mini striker.5 heli's... Sr , Sr 120 ,Cx2 mxq msr. Love the hobby, teaching my girlfriend how to fly helicopters. Trying to become a better airplane pilot and your videos helped me immensely. You and Abby keep doing what you doing and we'll keep watching

I don't have a plane yet, just getting started. I'm learning on the Clearview simulator and it has a Piper ag plane. That thing wants to fly like no other model in that simulator. I almost have to force it down. I appreciate y'all sharing your knowledge and reviews of the different types of planes.

Great video guys! I love my Air Tractor and enjoy 4S packs with mixed flying. I've been bitten by the low speed tip stall as well, it just needs a little power to stay happy.
I watched your other video with this. My father flew this crop duster for so many years. I really want to buy this in his memory. He also flew one of these for pull plane to pull sail planes in the air. Beautiful plane. Thank u guys

After i saw your first video on this plane i had to get one. I bought one and wow i had nothing but trouble for the first three flights, bent landing gear and completely broken motor mount then dropped out of the air on third flight and broke wings and smashed nose. The funny thing is that since fixing those issues with hot glue and duct tape this plane has flown great. i only fly it with 4s batteries and it fly's so much better since i wrecked it and fixed it. kind of strange that it does so much better after the fixes.

For asphalt get the Durbo Low Bounce tires for the Tractor. Big deference with landings. As mentioned in the past by me and others, please do a voltage check at the end of your flights. Especially for 3 & 4s with the same plane.

I have had mine a little over a week and love it. The CoG is way off with a 3S 2200 Mah battery so I put two in side by side which was ideal. I only connected one battery at a time. I have just bought a couple of 4S's for it and looking forward to getting it in the air.
I have also used slight longer screws to fit the wings as the ones that come with the plane are very difficult to take out for transportation purposes. I use son 15mm M3 screws with a small spacer.

Fully charged storage is NOT the worst thing for your Lipo batteries - not even close. The worst thing you can do is leave them discharged. Over-discharge kills Lipo's every time. Even though most ESC's have low voltage cutoffs built in, the problem is that below about 30% state of charge, Lipo's have self-discharge, and if not charged soon enough, WILL over-discharge and damage cells.
This is also how people frequently kill their laptop & cellphone batteries.
Fully charged isn't optimum for long term storage, but doesn't even come close as a battery risk factor, compared to pack over-discharge, and cell voltage imbalances causing individual cell over-discharge or over-charge.
I'm trying to learn about Lipos 20yrs ago when I raced RC trucks we only had the ole matched 6 cell packs well close to matched as ya could get and they were 40-60 bucks Thanks for the tips 👍✌️

Nice slow and low flying. Your skills cover up that this is a pretty heavy plane. War bird wing loading vs lightly loaded trainer. I find it hard to fly that way on a 3S. Good job.
You should talk more about AMA and all the laws of RC air craft. What ama will cover and won’t cover. And laws on how u are flying a fairly large RC. I’d love an up date my self on all this and other things. Iv been out of the loop for a while now.

DJI batteries are good, but arent SMART branded batteries
I have had mine about 3mths now flys great over 25 flights on it not one issue yet fly mine with 3s 2200mah

That's a very cool airplane. I'm new to the hobby this August. Started with a Twin Otter and just picked up the Turbo Timber Evo. Had a few incidents with the Otter and finally had to retire it. So far the TT is still near mint after a few weeks of solid flying and weening myself off safe select. Just hypothetically what would you recommend as a good 3rd plane to pick up , preferably with Safe Select in 3-4s range. It would be nice to have a backup plane incase something unexpected happens to the timber.
I joined an rc club with a nice grass runway, not many active members unfortunately so it's a little hard find people to fly with.
Awesome plane, I hope to have some R/C footage on my channel next week. Have to settle with my full scale ultralight flight I uploaded today, until my new transmitter comes in.

Doesn't take much to bend the landing gear a little bit on this plane. My first landing had what I consider, a mild bounce and the landing gear bent. No biggy, I was able to re-bend in about 2 minutes. Everything is OK. Great flying airplane. I have many flights on mine. Great video!

I have a question for all y’all airplane people.......about 10 years ago ish? my only plane I had was a Stryker and being me, put super fast setup in it, fly it first time, up in the air, nose dive and destroyed it in 3 sec. broom and dustpan 600$ never flown again. You make it look easy, should I try again and not over build a plane that won’t fly or just stay away? Thanks guys
Try again. Crash again. Fix it if you can. Repeat. Aeroscout or Apprentice to start out.

My radio was broken in the HobbyZone Sport Cub RTF Set, but i used a DX6 anyway. The savemode is very good to learn flying. i have the old version, not the S 2. The UMX Timber/Turbo Timber is great too. Or try to get an old Conscendo (2S Version), a great (sail)plane too, but you need some room to land....
i only buy from Horizon Hobby, they have E-Flite planes with Safe technology to prevent nose dive. my first plane is the Aeroscout and second is Apprentice sts, i practice a lot on my simulator RF9.5 before i started flying.
Mine us now all white, in preparation for the bright orange upper half...you know what I'm building? Callie Graphics graphics awaiting the orange paint!

It would be interesting to know. Incase u plan on setting up a bunch of lipos for a couple days ahead of time if they would start discharging. That's what I usually do when I fly because when I do fly I try to fly for a few hours at least so I take many lipos

The Pawnee is a simular design but not Turbo. I was going to buy that one but got a great deal on the Pawnee. The fact it has lights internally is a bonus. Mine needs no flaps to take off at all. This plane WANTS to fly. Mine turns on a dime too. I can say one other thing, it HATES to land. I kill the power and it hangs in the sky like a kite! Where are you flying dude? Thats NOT death valley. If ANYTHING happends to my Pawnee, I will be getting that plane. I love, love ,love this plane.

I'm going to be learning in my yard. The only club I know of in my area, in Louisville, ky were complete jerks when I took my kids to see the planes as i was looking to join a club back then so i could learn and do it with my kids. The guys yelled at everyone, treated everyone poorly and it completely turned me off on joining a flying club. 😪 stormin' Norman, Abbey!

Nate/Abby, any chance you carry an aviation band radio while out there? Although technically you aren’t supposed to transmit (since you are not operating an aircraft or acting in an official capacity for the airport), even just listening to the radio calls can be really helpful for situational awareness. Just have to remember that signal reception is more or less line-of-sight (com band is VHF) and that at non-towered airports aircraft are not required to have or use a radio, though these days even most GA aircraft are equipped.
