Thank you for painting the car! Almost every channel that does car restoration leaves it with the patina look which I can’t stand. So thank you for doing the job all the way!
You two are an amazing example of what a true Father and Son project/partnership should be. Not many people can say they had one growing up, myself included.
THANK YOU FOR PAINTING THIS IN IT'S ORIGINAL COLORS, and not leaving it in the dreaded "patina" look that is overrated. I thank you BOTH for your efforts. You each have done yourselves proud!!!
Growing up without a father and an alcoholic mother. It sure is beautiful to see you and your dad working on a project together. Priceless mate, cherish every minute!
Bravo men !! Great video . I lost my dad as a child to a trucking accident , the bond you guys have is to be treasured ! So good to see you do all the work bumper to bumper . Cheers from western Australia 🇦🇺 👍
I enjoy seeing you to work together reminds me of my son & daughter helping me with my 46 ford tudor20 years ago witch I still have . & yes at 80 I still try & work on my cars today. just finished lower control arms on my 05 five hundred . good job guys
Hello, why not put a safe double chamber master cylinder on rather than dealing with that single? Seemed to be a lot of trouble and you still just have a single chamber@@theetravisb
At 9:29, talk about the ultimate gearhead ASMR: Seeing and hearing that 327 fire up, belch a flame or two, and shaking that engine stand like it owes it money! Rick is the dad some of (or many of us) wish we had. He's laid back, totally cool, humble, but he still commands presence without doing it. This channel has the best music--country electric guitar with the banjo playing along. It conveyes wrenching on a vintage car in the middle of the desert in a way that just stimulates my brain cells.
60's Chevrolet's. Labor's of love. You've made her into a Shiny Star! Thanks for saving an amazing piece of history. Classic Chevy; makes me remember my first car; a 10 year old 69 Camaro. $1000 bucks at a used car lot. It took me 2 years to make her shine. The first couple months were all about making her Haul Ass.
The 1960 El Camino is one of my dream cars! The other ones is the 59 El Camino, 57 nomad, and a 71 hemi Cuda! One day I will have one hopefully! Love this build series!
Good job fella's.. Your dad sure put in the hours on this one.. Your dad is my age & you're my son's age .. We work together as PDR tech's.. & I think its great you work with your dad.
I enjoy watching you guys and that's a beautiful build. Thank you for your efforts in getting it on camera. Your dad needs to be in an old western movie. He's great!
It's great that you're saving these old vehicles because there are less and less of them every year. Let's face it back then some of those cars were a work of art and they are worth saving say hello to your dad and keep on twisting wrenches
Thank you for not letting the outside of the vehicle retain its rust color, I love it when people put paint back on the vehicle like it's supposed to be from the factory
U and pops do awesome work! Awesome to see the father/son bond is strong and thriving in these uncertain times!!! U guys give hope… believe it!! God bless and Godspeed both of u… great work, great example… 👍✌️🙏🏼
Excellent video! What a journey from dead to living. This was exactly what it takes to fix up an old car. Really enjoyed it. Your Dad must have wanted this!
thank you people for putting this on your show. my dad and brother were like you two. i was the younger here clean this little brother. learned a lot before nam got most go the mechanics. in a lot of ways. any way you bring back good memories. thank you for that. was just being able to do a whole car. as long as it was stock. brother did the twisted motors. they took a 250 and a 300 for my uncle and made a pulling monster. weight this shave that.. twisted the torque convertor. shoved it in a 72 f-100. it would bring the front end up. port polish grind grind grind. thanks for that memory.
Wow...that is just an awesome observation you both did...I absolutely live the curves of that body style...great job guys...keep doing what yous do...I admire ur talent n devotion...😊
Beautiful restoration, every time I watch another video I'm impressed with the encyclopedia of knowledge your dad and you have! Happy 2025, can't wait for more content!
I love watching your videos and I love watching Pops in your videos also I wish I had a dad to grow up with and do the things you guys do as a father/Son team but that is ok because I feel like a part of your team ty Pops for showing me what a dad and son can do together and how you get along with each other ty for helping to teach us all how a son and dad play work and learn together Ty for letting me share Matt AKA DDP be safe out there My friend and brother and Pops and friends and everybody yuuuuup
Greetings from Germany... Zero to Hero... all things considered... " Excellent " job well done... 😉 Travis you and your dad done great. Really worth the 2 plus hour watch time. I can remember when my dad took mom and I to visit one of his mechanic friends to check out his brand new '59' El Camino. Dad worked as a Tune-up man for our local Chevrolet/Buick dealership back in 1956-59. Even have a shop photo of all the guys. In the back ground of the old shop you can clearly see the poster hanging above the shop door titled 'The New 1956 Chevrolet'. Truly Nostalgia... brings back some fond child hood memories for me. A few years later dad worked for the Olds Cadillac dealership. I still recall as a young teenager admiring the 1966 Olds Tornado and the new Cutlass 442. Looking forward to your next revival and or restoration.
Both you and your Dad have done a really nice back yard restoration. My favorite kind. My Dad bought a 59 Camino in the mid sixties, all black. More recently, at our annual car show in Warrensburg Missouri a 60 Camino normally shows up every year. Its claim to fame is factory AC. Not hang on cool pack but actual factory AC which is pretty rare. I like your Dad saying. I kept all of these parts so I'd remember not to ever do it again. Lol
Rick, when you retired the automotive repair industry lost a master mechanic. I'm so impressed with your knowledge and the way you have brought Travis along in your footsteps. I hope he appreciates all that you have done for him. Thanks for all your efforts and for all the great entertainment you have provided.
Great job Travis and dad! Love the duel spotlights - very cool! Not sure how feasable it would be but sure would look cool with dual antennas outback like the 2 doors had! Love it and the color!
Thanks for another awesome video travis! Your dad is an absolute OG. The amount of times he's had a random part to finish your build makes it a hard argument not be a hoarder 😂 please keeep up the great work, both of you!
This is my favorite episode of yours. So far. I love it. When you take something that is damaged and on its way to the crusher and bring it back to its former Glory, it is not a patina rust bucket tetanus factory. It has been brought back to a beautiful machine hopefully to become a daily driver again a very good job. Still watching you from Yuma AZ
Thank you for painting the car! Almost every channel that does car restoration leaves it with the patina look which I can’t stand. So thank you for doing the job all the way!
Yes I they do. Pole barn is good about painting them
unless patina is preserved to the point it doesn't rust anymore, then it is slowly destroying the car
I was honestly starting to believe I was the only person who hates the stupid patina look. It looks like garbage and it’s lazy.
Some people can't afford to paint a car and it's their car.
Oh, ..totally !
I'm on the same channel, Dave..! 😮 🤨👍
You two are an amazing example of what a true Father and Son project/partnership should be.
Not many people can say they had one growing up, myself included.
It is truly wonderful to be able spend some "one on one" time with your father or son.
THANK YOU FOR PAINTING THIS IN IT'S ORIGINAL COLORS, and not leaving it in the dreaded "patina" look that is overrated. I thank you BOTH for your efforts. You each have done yourselves proud!!!
Totally agree!! Isn’t it nice to see something all original?
Growing up without a father and an alcoholic mother.
It sure is beautiful to see you and your dad working on a project together.

You guys did a great job, and your dad has mad skills and doing it together, priceless.
Shout out to all the awesome dads that taught us how to fix stuff and be men! Great video once again! Keep up the great work! Your pops is the best!
Back when it was OK to be a man
Labor of Love. Cherish your daddy for doing the project with you. Respect...
Your dad is cool he has such a mellow demeanor
Nice looking cruiser

Hello, why not put a safe double chamber master cylinder on rather than dealing with that single? Seemed to be a lot of trouble and you still just have a single chamber@@theetravisb
I have an 06 five hundred they are great cars I wasn't crazy about it to start with but it has grown on me.
Great job guys. Your dad has awesome talent. You guys are going places

It's great seeing a father & son being able to work together AND get along.
I was not that fortunate....
Keep on wrenching!!

Every car or truck you and your father restore bonds you two in history. Thank you. Joe
Holy hantavirus Batman! lol that was crazy!
Great job!
Doing the complete running gear, front to rear, is the right way to go.

I myself have always wanted a 56 Chevy nomad or 150 sedan delivery the 56 is not as common as the 57, and i liked the 55 the best!!
Very interesting, senores. Happy new year.
Its always cool watching you both work together, at last a cameo appearance from the family dog ! Really great looking car.
Good job fella's..
Your dad sure put in the hours on this one..
Your dad is my age & you're my son's age ..

What a wholesome video 🇿🇦
Anyone who can take an old beat-up car and make it look new has to be a Master Craftsman.
I had a 1965 El Camino and loved it. Wish I would of keep it. Great video.
Really nice work Dad , you all are great and really enjoyed your video

That is an amazing car, great job fellas. I’m hoping to find a project soon. Been inspired by all the car guys on UA-cam.

Brings back a lot of memories helping Dad work on cars...... always loved holding the flashlight up under a car. Never worked well for me back then.😂

Americans have a real propensity for making these will it run type of videos, I'm mechanically minded but watching you guys is a real education 👍
