In North America we call this kitchen as open concept kitchen. But the problem is such concept doesn't work with Indian cooking, until and unless you don't cook anything at home and order everything from outside.
Full of clutter..... Too much furniture scattered everywhere... Drawing room, kitchen and dining room together... Means if u have a guests they will see u cook and eat... No privacy... Bad design....
Honest impression: This house is overstuffed with furniture, not planned properly/practically, way too shimmery fittings for bedrooms and the living room, overcluttered, no moving space, it's only the mirrors that make the space look big. If you really want to design something that's impressive it should have minimal wooden fittings with properly planned storage like pull out couches which you can convert in to a bed when required or with a space to store books, properly closed kitchen because you don't always keep stuff clean. You might want to clean it up after you finish all the cooking. You don't want to annoy your visitors with vessel cleaning noises, pressure cooker whistles, etc. Basically kitchen privacy is a thing. This design didn't impress me one bit. Plus it's not affordable. NO. Also, I didn't find a space to store stock of groceries and laundry area like the washing machine. If such an apartment doesn't have these things it definitely isn't "ritzy, swanky and most luxurious ever".
I did not like this design as well. But open kitchen or close kitchen is completely personal choice. I have an open kitchen which functions and works perfectly. If one can maintain then one can have..

My mother can join a conversation with us watching the TV while she is cooking. She can also watch watch her favorite TV show while preparing food. It's so thoughtful design aspect.

The kitchen in the living room looks nice but impractical. One would always end up seeing used dishes lying , food getting cooked , pressure cooker whistles blowing. Mumbai flats have a lot of catching to do when comes to design and luxury. Merely charging high price for location is not a selling point.
If you check all modern Western mansions or penthouse, the living, dining and kitchen are all open and placed together. It's mostly a modern Western concept that may not suit most indians.

I would definitely get bored looking at these odd color combinations. An eclectic mishmash of expensive items won't make it a home you would look forward to. Lacking cohesiveness.

Too many things la. Mix of colours has made the house smaller. Mix of textures are also out. Give me half thr amount n I will do the house for half the price as well. Class doesn't have to be expensive. She has not left a single space alone.
Full white kitchen is v much in fashion in western part of the world these days but for Indian style cooking this is too much. All Indian dishes have turmeric in it. It will definitely stain the back splash. Also there is no space to the left of the sink . The placement of sink is flawed on top of it , it is single sing . Wallpapers are muddy and dark looking and give gloomy look and claustrophobic look to bedrooms. Shower area doesn t have glass partition . Soap suds will stain the toilet seat everyday . Sorry to say the apartment has been decorated by expensive stuff but is ordinary.
The design is a copy straight from the magazines sold in US and Europe. Well, Indians who can afford this expensive of space seldom indulge in cooking and cleaning. I don't want to see the host face, I want to see the flat. I liked the designs, but couldn't see the things... as focus was more on the narrator. Wardrobe was described not shown.

@Light York ..That's your idea...We still cook and yet live in double the price of this house currently....Regardless even if a cook is appointed the smell and smoke of Parathas will always be there in open plan kitchens inspite of a good quality kitchen hob installed...Apart from this no doubt, it's a beautiful flat..

But in this apartment dry & wet kitchen are same that too open as well, which is technically not correct
Such low ceilings ! Also, kitchen should definitely not be visible from living room, because lack of privacy. Open dining concept is nice and I have it too but it should still not be so close to living

I loved the kitchen area and the those golden lights and the nearby paint colour. apart from that it looks like an American home complete with an effin cactus on the table. it's such a joke to put a cactus on the table in Mumbai. the bedrooms were smally and stuffy. very American and a bit gaudy. also i'd like to comment on how it's a pet jibe for people to attack anybody especially women in the film industry as dumb. there's substance to it but I feel it's just a habit now.
