- Today we are reacting to a very high key requested video. It’s another one of our Elvis Presley videos, this time however reacting to a song that he did in a movie called King Creole. You guys, black and white films was a real artistic element! It has the quality that color films do not possess! It's the only way to go! A must-watch! The movie King Creole with considered one of Elvis Presley's best and his favorite film that he did out of all the 33 films that he made. I would definitely recommend it because it shows it Elvis had real acting ability!
React to ‘Jailhouse Rock’ from the film of the same name. It was colourised but the black and white version is much more charismatic in my opinion. Another one of interest is ‘New Orleans’ from King Creole (the same film as this song is taken).

His performance on The 68 special with the black leather suit was one of the sexiest performances I’ve ever seen.
Elvis was the lead actor in 31 movies. He never played a cameo. All the movies were specifically written and produced for him. They only existed because he existed. There is no one ever who had that place in the entertainment industry where movies were written and developed only because of him.

IMO his best movies were the early ones and & his last one...Jailhouse Rock, King Creole, Loving You & Change of Habit. Roustabout, Flaming Star, Kid Galahad, & Charo are also good. My favorite comedies of his are Blue Hawaii, Viva Las Vegas, Fun in Acapulco, & Girls, Girls, Girls.

My favorite Elvis Presley movies were the first few films that he did before he got into all the formulaic films. The earlier movies I believe wer some of his best films. My favorite w e r e King Creole, Jailhouse Rock wild in the country , and a comedy called Follow that dream, and Viva Las Vegas
Elvis was a good actor he was good in many films Loving you jailhouse Rock King Creole flaming star wild in the country kid Galahad charro he was good to know these films had so much acting ability could have been a lot more great things as an actor but was held back by his bad manager who was out for the quick buck and put Elvis in low-budget films just to make money but he has Elvis was a great actor and with the right agent no telling what he could have done but still great in many films actually underrated he was great at playing the bad boy and singing the blues great in his early films great video thank you 👍🏼😎
Presley did sign the contracts though , he didn't really have to but he loved quick cash. Also he had the chance to be in ASIB but he turned it down , actually his manager did to Barbra as E didn't want to be seen as the bad guy for turning it down. Same when Sonny/Red were fired , he made his dad tell them they were fired.

That's all he did in the '60's were movies. He did 3 movies a year. 29 total and 2 documentary movies in the early '70's. 31 movies in all!!! He had no time for recording new music or live performances, but several of his songs out of his movies were cut as singles and went to #1 and sold millions. Love Me Tender was his 1st movie and Love Me Tender was a #1 hit, Jailhouse Rock you have to do this one this out of his movie Jailhouse Rock. It went to #1 sold millions and is the world's first music video. Dance moves all thru like no body's business. Teddy Bear out of his movie Loving You, was a big hit #1 sold over 2 million-- a must see. Thanks!!!

Yes this is a really good black and white movie to watch! Fantastic music, great storyline, and it wasn't one of those affected by Tim Parker as far as I know. He was a lot like James Dean in this one.

Just a few fun facts - Elvis made 31 movies as an actor and there were two more documentary movies made when he returned to doing live concerts "This Is Elvis" and "Elvis,That Is The Way It Is" - He also recorded over 700 songs and because there are different versions of some of the songs that he recorded like album version and concert version there are over 800 song recordings by Elvis. The movie King Creole was one of Elvis early movies and the last one to be made in black and white - He was drafted in 1958, his manager asked the government if they would delay his reporting date so that he could finish this movie and they allowed it -- This movie was in fact written for James Dean the actor to play the part but he died in a car accident - Elvis always looked up to James Dean as an actor and wanted to be able to do great movies and serious dramas like James Dean did but unfortunately this is one of the only ones that was very dramatic he was able to be in. His manager and the film producers knew that Elvis songs sell and his first movie Love Me Tender was suppose to be called The Reno Brothers and was a dramatic film, Elvis was not suppose to be the star of it but one of the joint main characters but shortly before the movie was completed - during the editing Elvis song Love Me Tender because a hit and so they called the actors back in and added songs to the movie, including the new hit. Elvis didn't like that because he wanted to be judged by his real acting - after that most of his movies became less about the story and more about putting song in them. King Creole was Elvis favorite move that he was in. After he spent his two years in the service he returned to making the movies, those movies became all alike for the most part - they were called travelogues because same story - Boy meets Girl, Girl doesn't like Boy, there are a bunch of silly songs and Girl falls in love with Boy they were just made in different places Hawaii, Mexico, the mountains or on a dude ranch. Elvis became tired of these silly movies but his fans still love them - that is why in '68 a year he made his last 3 movies he started going back to live concerts, he missed the connection with his fans while he sang. Charro which is one of the last 3 movies Elvis finally refused to allow songs stuck in to break up the story - it was a serious western and the only song is Elvis singing the title song in the closing credits. So now you know a little bit more about Elvis' career - so you have 32 more movies to check out and a whole lot more songs lol --- I appreciate what you are doing!
