Really really interesting. Watching from 4:04, you can see from the #50 how dangerous and edgey the Glickenhaus looks through the porsche curves (despite being in clean air). Through the 1st corner, the back is wandering like it wants to break away, and because of this, the driver can't carry as much speed as the Ferraris can.
Speaking of, and despite both being in dirty air, the two 499p's were far more stable. Not only that, but the #50 was convincingly faster than the Glick all the way up until it was passed.
It's weird because on the Caddy onboard they had no problem breezing by the glickenhaus on the straights in the night where the Ferrari's struggled
Can't deny if that glick isn't a lapped car thas some good defense 😅
Well the Glickenhaus has always suffered in cornering, but is super quick in straights.
@@jaiganticpooey3012in this restart though, the #2 Caddy got passed by the Ferraris, #6 Porsche and even the #708 Glickenhaus.
If only the Glick defended this well on the lead lap! We need faster privateers!

Yeah we need faster privateers that can somehow compete against global manufacturers with near unlimited budget and more staff in their motorhome than in the entire privateers organization!
Ferrari 50 driver kept flashing his headlights at the Glickenhaus. Even with blue flag at the straight, he couldn't overtake.

Calling it now. An LMP2 will dictate the winner of LMP1 at Le Mans in 2024 (yes I know it's called LMDh, LMH). Get rid of that ridiculous category. Formula Oreca will be remembered as one of the worst decisions in prototype history., get rid of them! Remember when Dome, Ligier, Oreca, SMP were all fighting for top honours? yeah, FIA killed that. At some point FIA needs to admit what they did and relegate them to the dustbin of the past where they belong. Glickenhaus wasn't that far removed from an LMP2 when BOP wasn't taken advantage of.
