- Ever seen a person’s weapon and assumed something about how they play? Well, you’re not alone. In fact, most weapons in TF2 hold a certain stereotype. This series of videos aims to go over some of the most well-known weapon stereotypes in TF2.
Please keep in mind that I’m not saying that anyone who uses a certain weapon is a certain type of person. These videos are for fun. Sorry if I hurt your feelings or something.

The funny thing about Razorback Snipers under the delusion they're completely immune to Spies because they forget that Spy has a gun...
is that it can take a while for them to be disabused of that notion because of trickstab and backstab-obsessed Spy players who _also_ forget that Spy has a gun
This was me while I practiced Spy for a month. Completely forgot the revolver to focus on trickstabs and stuff. I resorted to butterknifing Snipers with the Razorback.

@@crusaderiii477 the heatmaker is nearly direct upgrade to the stock, if not for the bodyshot penalty. BUT as you know bots only get headshots and that downside is nothing

Late but I focused down a demo on blu team with the jarate and bushwacka, his team just watched as I got close to him and one shot him.
New stereotypes:
Stock: 1/3 new player, 1/3 really good, 1/3 “Really good”
Snipers: 1/5 new player, 1/5 really good, 2/5 "really good", 1/5 bots
more like 1/100 new player 1/100 really good 98/100 bots

I got back into TF2 after twelve years away thanks to finding videos like this recently. Used to use Sydney Sleeper a lot and, indeed, it was because it annoyed people. I suck at sniping anyway, so might as well make my own fun, eh?
The smg works well with the lucksman as you have a hitscan thing to counter REALLY good pyros (idk how they air blast that arrow, but they do)

I like the AWP cause 1 it's in CS:GO 2 it's an amazing model irl and 3 it shares stock stats without having a scope that's so big in burns any weapon specialist's eyes.

I got my first ever Godlike killstreak with the Classic.
I got a professional killstreak one, renamed it, “Wait, did you just die to the Classic?” And changed the description to “Yes, yes you did.”
Now I get yelled at in chat by half the enemy team and usually turn 2 or 3 of my teammates into classic snipers too XD
When someone is being dominated by a Classic it’s somehow a terrible weapon while also being an OP noob weapon.
Yes, I’ve been told the Classic is OP by people on the other team...
My favorite part about the classic is that even though it has a 10% damage penalty on a body shot, you will mostly be going for them.

The stereotype for the bazaar bargain is exactly how I play when my aim is on point. I never really talk and when I feel like clicking heads im gonna click some fuckin heads
10:30 the spy didnt help you cuz it was a demoknight. A general tip: the spy will help you if the class is not demoknight ,pyro , and sometimes heavies. Also the will not help if they dont see an oportunity . The most importany thing: if you are fighting with more than 2 non support class the spy will not help you .they will help you if the enemy is low hp.
the huntsman reminds me of some BS luck kill I got.
I was air-balasted up into the air just as I shot and somehow got a head shot on an extremely good sniper across the map.
I was using the huntsman to practice aiming because I used to shake my hand while firing.

I'm one of the new players who used the classic because it looks cool, and instead of switching back to stock I decided to keep practicing with it, it's pretty effective if you get good at it

The DR only works against idiots, and/or works for really talented amby spies. The moment a competent player jumps in the game I have to switch to invis/CnD. I don't understand why people complain about it. I rarely have trouble against DR spies.

I don't have any of the piss loadout, but I enjoy playing Light Weapons Guy and just running around with the SMG

Use the Cozy Camper if you're gonna go for a backpack. The Razorback is kinda bad and post-nerf DDS is complete trash unless you REALLY REALLY hate W+M1 Pyros or flare spammers.
Granted, the Cozy Camper is not that good either, and Jarate just exists, but the regen is nice to have at times and the knockback resistance/immunity might come in handy sometimes.

@@MayaMaya-si3nw The main upside, the flinching immunity, is only useful in if you hardscope. If you want to keep moving, the only thing you get is the regen, wich granted has saved me a few times.
@@joanaguayoplanell4912 You could make Cozy Camper a bit better if you use Sydney Sleeper or Bazaar Bargain if you're competent at headshots to abuse the faster charge to get your bonus better and not be as hard scoped as you would be otherwise.

Once I had a piss duel with a new guy in 2fort.Both of us used to throw piss but he never used the Bushwacka.Instead he tried to quickscope me though his aim was bad and I ALWAYS WON becuz the bushwacka.I had to tell him to use the Busheacka and only then our fight became more fair

Im have like 1k hours in the game and i get randomly dominated sometimes by juanramirescodgod3544 using the machine while i do backstabs or something like that (yes im a main shpee)
It mostly is because they didn't change their user name and stayed with the gmail as the nickname in game

it's good if things are close quarters

For some reason whenever I use the machina, I end up getting a lot of head shots. though when I use anything else, I can only get body shots and occasional headshots.

Scorch Shot Pyros will hate you, so make sure to taunt after every Machina body-shot or Lucksman corner-peek
i met this one sniper with a limited edition festive sniper (pro ks) with 10,000 kills. That dude was genuinly scary to 1v1.

I personally love the mixed reaction I get from my Nuts and Bolts Anger and PK AWPer Hand. On one hand, it’s a generic Anger sniper, on the other, it’s an unusual (if crappy) Anger. Then the hackusations come flying in.
Also, the Pablo newbie sniper that’s dominating you thing cracked me up more than I would like to admit.

SMG is underated. It's good for dealing with scouts. And I tend to use it after hitting a piss rifle shot for mini crits
Ambassador - people who say "it takes skill" but won't admit they can't aim with it properly.(I see this problem a lot).
Romildale Cuevas When I play tf2 at my friend's place, if I play spy, I use dead ringer+ spycicle since I somehow manage to trick everyone with it. I tricked the enemies like 10 times in a single match. And I used the same tactic every time...
For some reason, I only use the ambassador because I don't wanna use stock.

Since the nerf; there are two stereotypes:
A. The Spy who relied on the Ambassador to play Spy as a discount Sniper. Now that the Amby can't be used from behind their teammates to constantly harass people while not playing Spy at all; they complain Valve ruined Spy, and that the nerf was completely unjustified; because the class that can close range 1 shot enemies CLEARLY should be able to 2 shot people from any distance as well. But let's be honest, the real reason they're complaining is because they actually have to get in the main lines and help their teammates now; and that might result in them dying; so rather then adapting, it's easier to whine and pray for the nerf to go away.
And
B. Spys who adapted to the change and can use the Ambassador as a medium/close range weapon of mass destruction for when they miss a stab. If the enemy turns around; or they miss a stab; they'll whip this sucker out and slam 2 headshots for 86-102 damage in your face before making a quick getaway. The way it was intended to be used. I actually have a lot of respect for these Spys.

The awp stereotype just made me realize how much of a war pig I am in tf2-
I only play sniper in MVM and headshots are easier when the robots run in exactly one direction.
Even someone with the aim of a prehistoric tuna sandwich can be more than marginally effective.

I got banned because I was good at using the classic. I'm not joking.Some guy got pissed after I headshotted him without scoping and called hacks. I got banned from my favorite server because assholes don't know what the classic is.

Sniper in some servers are always on people's blacklist.
I once got 30 kills with 25 of them being headshots using The Classic. That was enough to get me kicked from a ctf_2fort server.

Another thing: the kukri's crit rate.
Random crits work off of how much damage you have previously done so if you're constantly hitting headshots with the sniper rifle that do up to 518 max then you really shouldn't be suprised if the next hit from his melee is a random crit.

Actually that only works with primary and secondary weapons. Melee has a constant crit rate and that crit rate is fucking high as if it was stockpiled with weed.

As an SMG sniper myself, I can gladly say you’re technically right, new players that use the SMG on sniper are definitely new players or they’re just dicking around. I play comp with the SMG and the Huntsman, it’s why I play sniper.
