Trust me, I've seen hundreds of live metal bands. Nothing beats Motorhead in a small venue. Never heard anything that loud. I was yelling at my friend's ear and he was hearing nothing lol
I saw them just before the Overkill tour in West Runton Pavilion, Norfolk, England - ie the middle of nowhere. I don't know what the capacity was but the venue was barely bigger than a village hall. It was so loud I lost balance at one point and my ears rang for about 3 days - not really very healthy but a landmark life event for me.
Have you been to a Sunno))) concert? Very very loud, but all low frequencies, it vibrates your chest, but is quite manageable to listen to. Another loud band is Lightning Bolt, not metal, just a drummer and a bassist, but they use such high frequencies it causes the most tinitus out of any band i have heard live, but i never got to hear motorhead live :(
I'm going to recommend the title track from the album "Orgasmatron" and the song "Deaf Forever" from the same. Hard-hitting stuff that will have your fist pumping in the air!
I got to see Motörhead up-close and personal at The Stone (RIP) in San Francisco. The loudest show I had ever experienced. I was thrilled to stand next to Lemmy at the bar during the opening set. Also said hello to James Hetfield, who was in the crowd (this was around the time of Ride the Lightning, if memory serves). Be sure to listen to Orgazmatron (pay attention to the lyrics) as well as two early live tracks from the No Sleep ‘till Hammersmith album: Bomber and WE ARE THE ROAD CREW!!!
Love yer reviews bud.. gotta admit I'm surprised after your journey through the harder and faster bands of metal that you are just now finding motorhead.. the band that basically invented thrash metal as we know it.
My dear friend i don't even know you i don't know who you're, but everytime i see your reactions and i watch you enjoying this music and loving all this bands and all i can do is respect you for your interest in this heavy metal music that means so much for me and for many many metal heads in the last 40 years. That's why i consider you my metal brother, all the respect from México City. Please you must react to so many bands like gravestone, tyrant, steeler from Germany, or Candlemass from Sweden, Cathedral from England or to my favorite guitar player John Norum from the band Swedish band Europe. Stay heavy!!
I saw this tour back in the day damn these guys were loud saw both the Bomber and Overkill tours also been a MotorHead Banger since i was 14 R.I.P Lemmy Phil and Eddie
This album came out in 1980...mightve been recorded in 79. It was the 40th anniversary last year. Ace of Spades was the first Motorhead album to be sold in the US..despite the fact they'd already put out 3 other albums and the band was 5 years old by that point. I think Scott Ian from Anthrax said when he first saw the album with the band dressed in western gear and bullet belts "who are these Mexicans and how do they play so fast!" 🤣
Motörhead has extremely many bangers. More than any other band i really love. But for some reason they never got as big as they should have. One of their greatest albums called "Another perfect day" Sold almost nothing and people hated it for seemingly no reason.
I never did this as a request cause I figured you might have heard this on tv or in a movie.. this is their popular / "overplayed" song. It's a good song but I'm glad you heard some of their other tunes first.
Right of the bat i'd say: Iron Fist, Killed By Death, Dr. Rock, Bomber, Overkill, Electricity, Stone Dead Forever, Eat the Rich, No class, Dead Man Tell No Tales, Too Late Too Late, Damage Case, Born to Raise Hell, When the Sky Comes Looking for You, Motorhead...is it enough for an hour? those are my favorite ones
"We are Motorhead and we play rock n roll" - Lemmy's introduction at every gig. Loads of people have recommended so many Motorhead songs but for me to get where Lemmy started from listen to Silver Machine by Hawkwind. Lemmy was the bass player with them and their lead singer took ill and couldn't do the song so they tried everyone in the band to see who could do and no one could until one of the band members said let Lemmy do it and as they say the rest is history.
Ok, I'm back with my Motorhead Request!! A Short but Sweet Tune off the BASTARDS Album (which is debatablely one of their most Heaviest albums) Just going to go with the song called "BURNER"!!
T, two totally contrasting songs by Motorhead you should listen to. 1. Overkill (there's a live HD gig in Germany that's just killer) 2. 1916 - A ballad (yes, a ballad) about WWI, Lemmy was a huge war historian and this song is so damn poignant.
You’ve got to hear live album “No Sleep Till Hammersmith” it’s even heavier. Loudest concerts ever recorded, did structural damage to the venues from sheer volume!
You know I'm born to lose, And Gambling's for fools , But that's the way I like it, Baby, I don't want to live forever! Maybe the greatest lines in rock history
I don't know how often I I have the pleasure to see them since 1984, sometimes it was tree times the year on different festivals. My all time favorite songs are: Bomber Ace of Spades No voices in the sky Killed by death Orgasmatron Dead man tell no tales 1916.
You could try one of these tracks T. Snaggletooth, shine, over your shoulder we are the road crew, going to Brazil, locomotive, motorhead, capricorn, damage case, iron horse, metropolis. This is a small selection of all the songs I would recommend. Sorry to anyone if I didn't list your own favourite, but I know that it's one of the ones I didn't get to list here.
At that time they were the fastest, heaviest thing out there. Put in perspective, this was before Metallica, Slayer, etc. One of my favorites is Orgasmatron
I remember the first time I heard Motorhead it was on a Late Late night music show on the ABC (Australian broadcast corporation) call Rage and it was a double feature Ace of Spades and Eat the Rich
Make sure to check out 'Motörhead' (the song) by Lemmy's previous band Hawkwind. It was the last song he wrote for them before they fired him. Not only de he use the name for his new band, Motörhead also re-recorded it for their first album. Actually you need to check out both versions!
This is my favorite Motörhead song. This is, in my opinion, the best hard rock/metal whatever song ever. It's powerful, unassuming, funny, and fun. I'm going to miserably misquote Thomas Hobbes here. This song, like life, is nasty, brutish and short. And that's the way I like it, baby, I ain't got time to live forever.
Lemmy what a man , got kicked out of Hawkwind for taking the wrong type of drugs, listen to Silver Machine (Lemmy on vocals) but also my favourite track by Motorhead, Deadmen tell no tales.
They're all gone.. Lemmy, Filthy & Fast Eddie.. Lemmy was such a badass that, even though he had terminal cancer he continued to tour. He played his last concert 9 days before he passed on..
Here is your playlist for the livestream man - from the top of my head - these will kick your ass - I left out Ace of spades since you did it today but these will start the addiction for you - Bomber, Jailbait, Killed By Death, No Class, Iron Fist, Orgasmatron, metropolis, We are the road crew, overkill, MotorHead, Stone Dead Forever, Rock n Roll, Damage Case - I know I am missing a ton more but start here
I've been listening to metal for over 40 years and to this day nothing gets me going like Motorhead. This is a great jumping off point because their catalog is deep. They won a grammy for their cover of Whiplash so definately try that. Other great songs are Iron Fist, God Save the Queen, Killed by Death, and my personal favorite....Orgasmatron which you'll need to do a lyric analysis. Keep on rockin' bro!
I'd recommend, 'I Ain't No Mr Nice Guy' for more Motorhead. Aaaaaaand also going a little back in time to Hawkwind, the band Lemmy was in before Motorhead, try, Silver Machine' or 'Lost Johnny' both of which Lemmy provides vocals for. I would guess, being from the States that you know the origin of the term Motorhead! The documentary, 'Lemmy' is quite frankly amazing if you have never seen it. Did you know he was a roadie for Jimi Hendrix? Used to score acid for him! He tells that story in the movie!
Favorite Motorhead song is called "lost in the ozone". I'm not sure anyone would agree with that but for me it's pretty cool because lemmy plays a bad ass solo with the bass guitar.
Became a huge fan when I was working in Scotland in 81'. Check out Iron Fist, I'm the Doctor, and Dancing On Your Grave to name a few. Also listen to the cover by Drain S. T. H. of Ace of Spades. They made it their own instead of just another sounds like.
Shocked you never heard this one. Iron Horse/Born to Lose, (We Are) The Road Crew, Just 'Cos You Got the Power, Orgasmatron, Shoot You in the Back, Metropolis, Capricorn, Bomber, No Class.
Lemmy rules❤️, loudest band ever love anything Motorhead, great reaction my friend ❤️ Lemmy hated to be called a metal band, he would say we're not metal were Rock n Roll.
Such an awesome song!! If you want another song that packs a punch you have to check out Fire Down Under by Riot......just like Ace of Spades it smokes & all under 3 minutes lol. Enjoy the reactions, Thanks!!
Hey, that's great that you're reacting to Motorhead!! This song was Great But they also had so many great tunes to Name right Now but believe me, My Geriatric Ass will let you know about them at another time!! However, Lemmy started out with a "Spacerock group called HAWKWIND!! He was fired from this band because of his DRUG USE???? Seriously 🤣🤣 Want to know more of what I'm talking about?? Check out the song by HAWKWIND called "Psychedelic Warlords " for starters with Lemmy on Bass and background vocals!! That's for Starters!! Great Tune!! Got to see Motorhead Live in Cleveland back the late 80s with Judas Priest and Alice Cooper!! WOW WHAT A SHOW!! GREAT REACTION, gonna comment Again for another Motorhead request, Stay Tuned 🤣
RIP Lemmy, Animal and Fast Eddie!
You forgot Wurzel. RIP
I know there have been other members of Motörhead for many years… but for me … Lemmy, Fast Eddie and Philthy Phil will always be the true Motörhead
“We’re Motörhead. And we play rock and roll.” The start of everyone of their shows.
"We are Motörhead and we're gonna kick your ass" they did too. So glad to see them live couple of times.
I can’t believe you never found this before now. This is legendary music.
Hes heard other Motorhead. Just not this one
i feel so old my man with people hearing stuff from the not so long a go past and not knowing it lol
@@DanJackson1977 That's even
three levels less likely...
Trust me, I've seen hundreds of live metal bands. Nothing beats Motorhead in a small venue. Never heard anything that loud. I was yelling at my friend's ear and he was hearing nothing lol
There's a very good tribute band called Motörheadache, keeping the music alive (& loud).
Stone Deaf forever :-)
Check out iron fist it's a great motorhead song
I saw them just before the Overkill tour in West Runton Pavilion, Norfolk, England - ie the middle of nowhere. I don't know what the capacity was but the venue was barely bigger than a village hall. It was so loud I lost balance at one point and my ears rang for about 3 days - not really very healthy but a landmark life event for me.

An hour's worth of Motorhead??.. I'M IN!!!!.. some to check out...Bomber, Overkill, Shine
I saw them in 1994 here in Buenos Aires and i had hearing problems for two days. The loudest concert of all
This is the shit that basically started thrash metal. Slayer's Show No Mercy and Metallica's Kill 'Em All had Motorhead written all over it.
I'm going to recommend the title track from the album "Orgasmatron" and the song "Deaf Forever" from the same. Hard-hitting stuff that will have your fist pumping in the air!
Huge Motorhead fan here. Thanks for helping to spread the word of this fantastic band. Subscribed!

I remember seeing this video as a teenager on a show in Toronto called "Toronto Rocks!". It absolutely blew me away, and made me a metal fan forever.
My man on the drums looking like he was in Shalamar lol
Seen mickey D drum an entire show with a broken ankle... That's dedication!
"We Are (The Road Crew") is a banger from the Ace of Spades album. "Live to Win" is another fast paced rocker
Killed By Death is a great Motorhead track and music vid.
Lemmy is a legend. Motörhead is on in my house a lot!!!!! ✌🏼🥰🍀
Got told off at work the other day for singing this at the top of my voice xxha ha
Other Motorhead favorites: Overkill/We Are The Road Crew/Iron Fist/Motorhead/Dancing On Your Grave/Bomber/No Class
Orgasmatron, Angel City, I Am the Sword, We Are Motorhead, Killers, Doctor Rock, Sacrifice, Keys to the Kingdom
This is quintessential Rock and Roll! Motörhead is great! Great reaction video!
My cat’s name is Lemmy and he’s a hell raiser!
I'd recommend listening to the entirety of the No Sleep at All live album. My fave is We Are The Roadcrew.
We are The road crew🤘🤘🤘🤘
"No sleep 'till Hammersmith"
Such an underrated song.
all songs from the Ace of Spades album are great, its a classic
My dear friend i don't even know you i don't know who you're, but everytime i see your reactions and i watch you enjoying this music and loving all this bands and all i can do is respect you for your interest in this heavy metal music that means so much for me and for many many metal heads in the last 40 years.

Stay heavy!!
'Overkill' will blow your socks off!!
The band OVERKILL settled on the name as a tribute to this track
My favorite Motorhead songs : "Metropolis" "Capricorn" (the space songs) "Keep us on the road" "Poison" "Dead Men tell no tales" "Talking head"
I saw this tour back in the day damn these guys were loud
saw both the Bomber and Overkill tours also been a
MotorHead Banger since i was 14 R.I.P Lemmy Phil and Eddie
wearing a Motorhead tshirt to a punk show or a speed metal show would be warmly welcomed. they had much respect in the punk scene as the thrash scene.
Yeah, I'd agree with that. With a huge scoop of Hawkwind ;)
Motorhead were at their best in the 70's and early 80's. Any song from the Overkill or Ace of Spades album is great.
This album came out in 1980...mightve been recorded in 79. It was the 40th anniversary last year. Interesting fact: for a short time way back in the day, Lemmy was a roadie for Jimi Hendrix.
Motörhead has extremely many bangers. More than any other band i really love. But for some reason they never got as big as they should have. One of their greatest albums called "Another perfect day" Sold almost nothing and people hated it for seemingly no reason.
Your reactions are PRICELESS! The joy you get from the music is what makes all things loud n' heavy so special. You feel it in your soul! \m/
Cool, I don't think anyone else is reacting to Motorhead. This and "Motorhead" are my faves.
I never did this as a request cause I figured you might have heard this on tv or in a movie.. this is their popular / "overplayed" song. It's a good song but I'm glad you heard some of their other tunes first.
The Bruins had it as their goal score song during their Stanley Cup run in 2011
Me. Doing school exams back in the 1980s.
Scratched into the desk by someone.
Mods are dying
Punk is dead
That's the power
Of Motorhead
Lucky enough to be old enough to have managed to see them live a few times, too few mind in my view. Three legends sadly all gone RIP chaps!
It was me that requested Born to Raise Hell! Your Welcome!! This is Cool as hell.
Birth of a metal head, and, your wife is going country, lol. good stuff.
Motorhead, No Voices in the Sky is one of my favorite tunes by Lemmy.
I Always loved this song so much 1 of the best bands ever R.I.P Lemmy
Stone Dead Forever, No Class, Iron Horse/Born To Lose
This is Not a Song IT'S AN ANTHEM. TOTAL CLASS.
I saw Motorhead back in the day T mate in London and while the gig was going on a huge bomber aircraft was put together above the band.
This is Lemmy's answer to "The Gambler" (Kenny Rogers)...
All motorhead stream should be easy. You got like 35 (!) Albums rounded down to work with...😆
Ok, I'm back with my Motorhead Request!! A Short but Sweet Tune off the BASTARDS Album (which is debatablely one of their most Heaviest albums) Just going to go with the song called "BURNER"!!
I used to use this as an alarm to kick my ass out of bed in the morning. Better than a cup of coffee!
T, two totally contrasting songs by Motorhead you should listen to. 1. Overkill (there's a live HD gig in Germany that's just killer) 2. 1916 - A ballad (yes, a ballad) about WWI, Lemmy was a huge war historian and this song is so damn poignant.
Lemmy used to put marbles in his breakfast cereal..
"Seven or eleven.. Snake eyes watchin' you!"
Lemmy! Saw them in concert many, many times. Best live band EVER!
❤ Bomber
But ANYTHING from No Sleep 'til Hammersmith live album is pure gold.
You’ve got to hear live album “No Sleep Till Hammersmith” it’s even heavier. Loudest concerts ever recorded, did structural damage to the venues from sheer volume!
Motörhead fan since 1980, saw them live twice, had ringing in my ears for days afterwards. Recommend "Limb from Limb" from the album Overkill.
You know I'm born to lose,
And Gambling's for fools ,
But that's the way I like it, Baby,
I don't want to live forever!
Maybe the greatest lines in rock history
The hardest hardcore song about gambling!
This was their MTV debut video in the early early early days of MTV like 81 or 82.
We're motorhead, we play rocknroll. Favourite band ever.
OVERKILL-the birth of double kick bass drums
Luvly bit of speed metal. Makes me smile every time I hear the opening riffs
I don't know how often I I have the pleasure to see them since 1984, sometimes it was tree times the year on different festivals.
My all time favorite songs are:
Bomber
Ace of Spades
No voices in the sky
Killed by death
Orgasmatron
Dead man tell no tales
1916.
You could try one of these tracks T. Snaggletooth, shine, over your shoulder we are the road crew, going to Brazil, locomotive, motorhead, capricorn, damage case, iron horse, metropolis.

At that time they were the fastest, heaviest thing out there. Put in perspective, this was before Metallica, Slayer, etc. One of my favorites is Orgasmatron
Motorhead: the one band, punks and metal heads agree on, as the fucking GOAT
I remember the first time I heard Motorhead it was on a Late Late night music show on the ABC (Australian broadcast corporation) call Rage and it was a double feature Ace of Spades and Eat the Rich
one motorhead that will make you go wtf is "1918" but their cover of the trooper is a must
Make sure to check out 'Motörhead' (the song) by Lemmy's previous band Hawkwind. It was the last song he wrote for them before they fired him. Not only de he use the name for his new band, Motörhead also re-recorded it for their first album. Actually you need to check out both versions!
One of those songs that probably was always out there & was just waiting to be written.
Killed by death is my favorite
Love this, good Sir, but what I love most of all was how much you reminded me of myself when I first heard Ace of Spades. 😆
They're all gone.. Lemmy, Filthy & Fast Eddie.. Lemmy was such a badass that, even though he had terminal cancer he continued to tour. He played his last concert 9 days before he passed on..
I'll always remember hearing 'Killed by Death' blasting out at Donnington Monsters of Rock Festival
Here is your playlist for the livestream man - from the top of my head - these will kick your ass - I left out Ace of spades since you did it today but these will start the addiction for you - Bomber, Jailbait, Killed By Death, No Class, Iron Fist, Orgasmatron, metropolis, We are the road crew, overkill, MotorHead, Stone Dead Forever, Rock n Roll, Damage Case - I know I am missing a ton more but start here
Geez! Another classic! I'm amazed you hadn't heard this one before. Lemme is the poster boy of no fear.
We are the Road Crew, Love me like a Reptile, Metropolis, and for a ‘ballad’ listen to 1916
Motorhead - You Better Run
Cool as hell, blues rock groove
Lemmy Kilmister, Fast Eddie Clark, and the one and only Philthy Phil the Animal Taylor there will never be another three piece like them R.I.P. guys
Became a huge fan when I was working in Scotland in 81'. Check out Iron Fist, I'm the Doctor, and Dancing On Your Grave to name a few. Also listen to the cover by Drain S. T. H. of Ace of Spades. They made it their own instead of just another sounds like.
This is the best song to start a fight to.
Locomotive - from No Remorse - is a personal favorite for me! Great video by the way!
Shocked you never heard this one.
Iron Horse/Born to Lose, (We Are) The Road Crew, Just 'Cos You Got the Power, Orgasmatron, Shoot You in the Back, Metropolis, Capricorn, Bomber, No Class.
This is pure poetry. Cheers from tha Low Countries.
Lemmy rules❤️, loudest band ever love anything Motorhead, great reaction my friend ❤️ Lemmy hated to be called a metal band, he would say we're not metal were Rock n Roll.
Gotta do some Ramones
RAMONES - MY BRAIN IS HANGING UPSIDE DOWN
Such an awesome song!! If you want another song that packs a punch you have to check out Fire Down Under by Riot......just like Ace of Spades it smokes & all under 3 minutes lol. Enjoy the reactions, Thanks!!
Motorhead absolutely kicks ass!! Other Motorhead songs I would recommend are "Civil War" and "Them Not Me".
"The Chase Is Better Than The Catch", recorded at the same studio.
Listen to the live version of Overkill at the Hammersmith (No Sleep Till Hammersmith album). Phenomenal drumming.
Motorhead isn't quite metal or punk, but rock n roll hard and fast with SOME metal and punk influences. Motorhead is Motorhead.
Deaf Forever! Their best track IMO. (Either the Orgasmatron LP or No Sleep At All versions, both great).
It's a good one to sing around the campfire.
Killed By Death was a bit more ‘commercial’ in many fans eyes but I reckon it was a complete banger!
T is jammin'!!
Great that you're having a blast!
Lemmy is deservedly considered a metal GOD
This was a huge influence on thrash metal.
