  • learn how to make a satin bonnet. Satin bonnets or silk bonnets are super easy sewing projects, they are very useful and kind to natural hair. You can make your satin bonnet at home by following the steps in this video.
    Become a patreon / sewuniqueng
    I made a reversible hair bonnet using the following supplies:
    2 fabrics (30”x 30” each)
    Elastic (19”-21”) depending on you.
    Safety pin
    Regular pins
    Tailor’s chalk
    Thread
    Fabric scissors
    Sewing machine or hand needle.
    I recommend the following:
    For teenagers
    2 Fabrics (26”x26”each)
    Elastic (17.5”-19.5”)
    For younger kids
    2 fabrics (24”x24” each)
    Elastic (16.5”-18.5”)
    For babies
    2 fabrics (20”x20” each)
    Elastic (15”-16”)

    • @SewUnique_ng
      @SewUnique_ng  3 роки тому +1

      You’re most welcome. The tension & stitch width will differ from machine to machine. I like to keep my tension somewhere around the middle. Ensure the bobbin is placed right (anti-clockwise) & stitch width recommended will be somewhere around the middle too. Some machines have 1-5 and others 0-6 so you just need to find the middle of yours.

    • @SewUnique_ng
      @SewUnique_ng  3 роки тому

      Thank you so much. When you’re say 14” is that for cutting out the circle? It’s basically how large you want the bonnet to be. That’s the radius technically
