What a great group. I'll always be perplexed by DRG's seemingly low reputation too - it feels like he's been getting dunked on for years by the casters now but regularly delivers solid performances. He's certainly no Rogue or Dark but, as someone with absolutely zero statistics to back it up, he's always felt like more of a solid performer and more of a consistent 3rd best than Solar or Ragnarok, despite them having the occasional outstanding season. That aside, I fuckin love Byun man.
I don't watch much SC2, but I don't remember anybody employing DRG's strategy as consistently as he did here: achieving an advantage and never pushing or overextending to capitalize on it immediately, always pulling back, macroing up and working towards solidifying and "simplifying" the situation. From my limited knowledge of the game of go (baduk for Koreans), there's a similar principle there: if you are ahead, you work towards simplifying the situation on the board, making it less hectic and undecided, leaving less uncertain and problematic areas, solidifying your lead. If you are behind, you start fights in numerous areas of the board, work towards disrupting the board situation, so that there is more chance for some unexpected change or mistake that could benefit you.

After watching SC1 vs SC2 and coming back to pure SC2, I just can't help but feel a little bit letdown or bored. SC1 versions just add so much flavor and excitement to SC2.

I think I know protoss' problem. They always try to win the first match. The should always lose/forfeit and play the losers match where all the best players go.
He is not sick (I mean he almost constantly coughing for pas 2 years at least). Sometimes cough stays for long time, happened to me as well. Visited doctors, did some analyses etc., nothing there, but kept coughing. Then it just went away. It might be some after effect from covid for Tasteless, I don't know.
