Wow... Thank you so much... Your instructions were super easy to follow.. I LOVE the way you etched your starting points😁 I'm taking on this job, and also changing my differential fluid, next week. Now I know that I can do it... 62 yr old woman Vet.... Your video is very helpful

Yea buddy. Good idea to measure that fluid that comes out for safety to make sure your not overfilling. Just my opinion

Should always do it on a level surface. The owners manual tells you how much fluid it takes. Also after adding the fluid, start vehicle, shift through all the gears staying in each gear for 3 seconds. Go back up from L also holding each gear for 3 seconds. Don't shut off the car. Let it warm up to operating temp, 2 cycles of the cooling fan. Once the fan stops, shut off the vehicle, immediately check the level through the level check bolt. If nothing comes out add more, if too much let it drain until only a slight 💧 💧 💧 💧 is coming out steady. Also a good time to check your transmission vent hose. Make sure it's not clogged. Which is often the case. Mine was clogged at 30k on my Civic, and who knows how long it had been like that. Good idea to do the rear diff fluid at the same time as transmission if you own a AWD CR-V. Personally I recommend changing these fluids every 30k. 25k if you live in a city, or do a lot of stop and go driving stick in traffic and such. There's also a filter for the CVT believe it or not, also very easy to change.

Thank you... Sooo much... Great advise..I am so glad that I checked this out first.. The Honda dealership wants to charge me almost 500. Dollars to do the same thing that I KNOW that I can do myself...yup.. Never underestimate old female Veterans... We're a pretty badass batch of women. ❤

Yes this is the correct procedure but many UA-cam tutorials don’t show this

On the 2016, there are two filters.

I actually did a change of all my filters as well, the one behind the transmission fluid cooler and the one in the sump. So if you do this, tranny's going to take a lot more than 4.5 quarts. It actually took me around 5.75 quarts to fill it back up to where the fluid was consistently running out of the fluid level check plug. This was on an AWD model though.

Did you warm up the car or did you do a cold drain?

Yes. I drove it around for about ten minutes

Did u check the level by removing the check bolt 🔩 , whichis locatedright on top of that drain plug ?

@@ashrafsiddiquee3190 no I did not know that existed

@2wheelmonster I confirmed with many experts and thay said u don't have to check that bolt as long as u measured it well and make sure the amount of fluid goes in whatever came out.
      So we good 👍 dude
