2019 Chevrolet Traverse Rear Shock Replacement
Переглядів 2443 місяці тому
So when I did Uber, I noticed that there was more play in the rear end when I had more people in the car so it’s the same part number for the shock for both sides. It only took about 45 minutes total to complete.

Get yourself some oxalic acid to clean wood👌
Thank you
My wooden fence is already rotten to the point where you can't save it😬
That’s not a flying flyby, it would be wriggling around across both lanes if it was. 18mpg, 15 having it large.
Where is the blue haze.
Blue haze???

Can you do more videos on your bikes? (if you havent sold them) Love the videos though👍
Thanks. Those bikes have been long gone
Ey
Huh?
The low pressure line in the one in the front of the engine bay or in the bottom front ?
Cant remember. I just went with whatever the bottle fit on
Thanks bro! Life saver
Happy to help
Great stream Fred👍👍👍
Load of shit
Great video and very informative thank you sir save me time and money
You bet
Every time I play it over, I laugh harder, that’s what she said
Yea buddy
Is this the same procedure for a 2013 Chevy traverse
No clue
Did the transmission overheat as well?
It did not
Whatya on about S2 ??? It's a KH ffs get it right .
The dark blue Kawasaki in a USA spec 1973 S2A. Not really sure what all your excitement is about. Wiki has a good model guide so you can learn the differences.
So, then? Did it drive better? Because a lot mechanics said it not cool change transmisión fluid..😢
Yes it did drive better. There wasnt anymore shudder for alot of mileage after the change but ultimately I ended up addid shudder oil to stop that
Where did you order the parts? Can you put the link thank you
What a good looking question. United Auto Supply. There are stores in Upstate New York. I dont know if they ship and their website is not user friendly but here is their phone number 315-478-4242 but it took a week to get the shocks but I found thru internet search there are other options. Good luck
Gd, that monkey was triple-dippin' in the fudge pot! Gross! Lol
anyone finding this and the ac in their traverse or enclave is only blowing cold out of some vents that is a sign of low freon.... GL
Looks easy
Definitely is
but who won? my little 200 rd beat every 350 kawi I ran across
Not the fat one
It sounds great!! There's all KINDS of things to make it ALOT stronger. I had to buy mine from a guy outside of Montreal.
That is awesome!
*promo sm* 😅
I was checking your channel For a follow up video. Did changing the transmission fluid fix your problem ? 😂
Good question. It did and did not I have used instant shudder fixx that comes in a red tube and that works really well until it life runs its course and then it seems the shudder comes back so I just put another tube of it in it and it worked
I drained and filled the transmission fluid twice now, starting to get a little more red. I do have one question though… for some reason now my car shuts off completely when auto start stop kicks in, and sometimes the car won’t start at all just when trying to turn it on… works maybe 75% of the time and when it don’t work I have to wait a few minutes to try again… Could that be a sign of low trans fluid?
@@TheSetGKal if you measured the amount of fluid that came out of the transmission and then put that amount back into it, I cant imagine that would cause the issue your having. I do know if you put the transmission is manual and put it in the highest gear and drive the autostop wont shut vehicle off Good luck If you figure it out please reply
@TheSetGKal That means the battery is dying.
Interesting

Misleading bait for clicks
Whats misleading??
Where’s the filter
No clue
@@2wheelmonster I found out thanks anyway and it’s inside the transmission has to be removed an split in two an disabled to get to it
@barryhebert5839 yikes
I actually did a change of all my filters as well, the one behind the transmission fluid cooler and the one in the sump. So if you do this, tranny's going to take a lot more than 4.5 quarts. It actually took me around 5.75 quarts to fill it back up to where the fluid was consistently running out of the fluid level check plug. This was on an AWD model though.
Cool. Thanks for info
It’s the Mach III the Mach 1 was the 250….😮
If he don't know what he has....he shouldn't even have it !!!
have you any photos or video of the components/work involved and used?
What a good looking question??? I didnt and it definitely should have been documented. I did use the shaft from a ducati 848 and various parts like primary gear and what not. The cover was definitely customized.. is it worth it??? Yes for a cool factor…. The video is posted by me so enjoy it… would I do this again to another rz?? No. Not enough power but is cool as hell. Makes more sense to do this to a 1000cc sport bike in my opinion. With time, effort and money
@@2wheelmonster a ducati primary shaft? Oh wow. Did it require much modification to fit?
Your willingness is amazing. The clutch basket shaft is same from what I was told by the person who put the whole thing together. That shaft just needed the transmission forks switched over and the rz gears like oil pump gear and primary and clutch basket I believe are at an angle so the ducati gear on clutch basket is straight cut gears so the primary and oil pump gear has to change if you want oul pump still. I have a picture of the messages between the person and myself. Trying to post it somehow.
Sounds great.
Thank you
What’s the torque on the plug?
No idea. I just kinda put it right back where the clean threads disappeared and its never leaked for me
@@2wheelmonster copy that
Did you warm up the car or did you do a cold drain?
Yes. I drove it around for about ten minutes
Ridden both. Triple kicks ass every time
Aw yea

Wow... Thank you so much... Your instructions were super easy to follow.. I LOVE the way you etched your starting points😁 I'm taking on this job, and also changing my differential fluid, next week. Now I know that I can do it... 62 yr old woman Vet.... Your video is very helpful
Yea buddy. Good idea to measure that fluid that comes out for safety to make sure your not overfilling. Just my opinion
Beautiful
Thank you
I have a 2020 GMC TERRAIN SLE . According to the owners manual guide (under severe driving conditions) you are to change the transmission fluid at 45,000 miles . But in (Normal) driving conditions it is not “required”
Is this how you feel/think it should be done?
@@2wheelmonster I honestly would do it every 45,000 miles even if it was under normal conditions . I’m overdue on mine already by 7-8k miles . I want to do it myself , but I also want to send it to a GM dealership in case something goes off and they’ll be liable for it. The only bad thing is they charge dealership price for their work of course $$$
Do it
Well done. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Which won….🙈???
The one on the left
I think the Kawasaki triple black helmet
I had a S3400A, it always beat the RD400's , the acceleration when it kicked in was unique !
Big time
I'm here watching this because I still feel defeated by how long the drivers back took me to get in today. I did all 4 and actually did it on the alignment rack but I did not have the same amount of clearance that you did for whatever reason, I think it's a 17 or 21 idk I've seen a couple the last 2 weeks, It was not nearly that accessible for me with the control arm in place. The angle of the cap was running into the lip around the hole up top or wedging against the control arm. That was my last job for today, a Monday, and I'll tell ya what I can pump out some suspension work and I felt defeated by how much a pain in the ass this was for my weak back and shoulders the last hour of the day lol. I did the fronts and RR which just pry bars but by the time I got to the LR I had to pull the pneumatic jack out. Props if you ever need to do all 4 just know doing it by hand is gonna wear you at lol.
Wow. Thank you for sharing. That sucks!!!
thank u so much oke let me try hhhhh
Yay
My ac is just cool, but not freezing cold, so i tested few things like fuses, etc..and i noticed the passenger ac vents are freezing cold, but the driver side vents blow cool air, and all the control nobs are on number 60 (lowest cold)
Thats crazy.
Thats a sign you are low on freon...lol My wifes is doing it now....Thats why im here.
You chod open it up you are to slow I'm from RSA
Well said
So the yellow and blue souped up RD is noticeably slower than the stock standard all purple S2 . . !
Yup
@@2wheelmonsterhmm - interesting.. you'd think three sets of piston rings means more internal friction than just two sets.. must be more aggressive timing 'n better breathing S2 ..middle cylinder is always 'petrol-cooled' too 25mpg, otherwise runs too hot.. lol
I thought that it has an internal filter that needs to be replaced when doing the transmission change it is in the case.
How do you get to that internsl filter?
You remove all the bolts and it comes right off inside is a filter that needs to be replaced. There are actual videos on UA-cam with the complete process the complete transmission flush requires the filter to be replaced.
@@iseeisaid7820 interesting. In your original comment you wrote transmission change, in this video only doing a fluid change. I found one video you mentioned but it looked like the transmission was removed from vehicle and in my title for this video I was just doing a fluid change. Great comment though. I had no clud there was an internal filter.
Had one of these back in 1980. Put rd400 front-end, swingarm, mags and engine with DG pipes jetted out with k&n filters, plugs one number hotter NGKb8es, that bike was so fast he used to blow away Honda 750s. So basically it was a 250 with the tank side plates when I was beating all these big bikes they would say no way that's a 250. Lol
I have always wanted to that conversion
@@2wheelmonster easy to do. Only thing I had to do was move the counter sprocket out a little by using the same type of washer that goes on the counter sprocket before the nut that you bend over like a locking kind of washer so I just put a few of those on the inside of the sprocket and it lined up perfectly because of chain was sort of not correctly straight when I just put that engine on, the engine was from a red rd400 I think 1976. That bike was so fast and banging Wheelie's in 3rd gear like nothing.
My 2018 traverse is not blowing cold air in the rear. Could it be lacking freon? What was the issue with yours? Why you top it up?
Mine was blowing cold air after about ten minutes of being on. So that why I added it. No idea about why yours in the back isn’t working
