Fuck…I love pacific but damn I was cheering for the rovers on winning. Would have been a great story in Canada soccer AND for the new league 1 BC. Hope next season either league 1 Canada teams wins a game and bring pride to the team/league like how Cavarly FC did against Vancouver Whitecaps FC. This game showed a lot of potential and I loved it! Let’s hope a CanPL team defeats an MLS team this tournament! (let’s welcome league 1 Alberta next season as they are playing their first now! And league 1 central is expected in 2025).
@@msubasic64 aye it shows that Canada Soccer is serious about their soccer structure and what pro can show. Remember, these div 3 teams aren’t amateur, they still are classified as low tier pro teams.
I didn't watch it, but I'm assuming there was an injury in extra time. Of course, that board showing the extra minutes just means that is the minimum they will play, with the ref allowing additional time for whatever non-football stoppages there are.
again shows that the best teams in League 1 are closer to CPL than to MLS.. someone disagreed after TFC Simcoe game saying its the same but clearly not, the games show proof. League 1 teams should not face MLS team in the first round
Thing is… just like with league 1 Canada and now it’s new… we forget that CanPL is still relatively new. It’s still finding their style of play (which I think is improving) the branding is done right, doing a good job of attracting local talent and bringing them to a professional stage. It’s about time we have a stage for ourselves instead of having to share or being outshined in every way by the Americans. We just gotta keep believing in CanPL the same way Americans believed in MLS in their early years and believe me… MLS was not good compared to now.
@@killermon117 um I really don't understand what that has to do with my comment ??? all I did was mention the current level difference for League1 teams facing someone in the Can Champs.... but since you wanna go there, CPL will never be as big as MLS my guy. US population is 333+million people, the market, supporters, investors are just 100x bigger potential. Canada has a population of 39m, it will never compete with the MLS on that scale. Its like saying the Scottish league can be just as big as the English Premier league... LOL its not happening.. CPL will have the potential to have 2-3 really good teams in North American level but thats about it.. there is simply not enough investment potential in a country of 39m to compete with a country of 333m. Thats basic business and economics. You can dream all you want but dream for your own things... you can't dream about things that are 9.9/10 out of your control.. and denying the market size of Canada vs MLS is just delusion.. its completely out of anyones control.
@@sowaveysuyat that’s the thing, not every game in domestic cup competitions will be equal. This goes for Concacaf champions cup too. It's a shame the Rovers didn't win. They deserved it.
On a side note, the game should've been called earlier. What was the ref thinking?
The board only shows the extra minutes from the 90min. But the same can apply to the stoppage time. In this case an extra minute
@@filetmignon9978 true, but I find it hard to believe that after 6 mins of injury time the ref thought "let's add 4 more!" was a good idea.
Honestly Rovers are always so impressive. Can't wait for Canadian footy to have promotion/relegation
Wait 20 years

Never gonna happen. Seriously, Canada has the same issues the US and Australia does with that.
@@NSLUploader I don't know, the usl plans promotions and relegations in championship and legue one, and the MLS is thinking about doing a division 2
What a game! A fan in Japan. I made a poem!
Me too:

Some will sink
Some will swim

TSS Rovers are better than Valour FC that's for sure
Wow, very nice match. Lots of emotions
Los rovers deberían de estar en primera división
Rovers were more competitive than York or Valour

Yeah, go ahead and beat Trashonto or Montreal, have hope, but none of these cliubs will come close to beating whitecaps lol
@@spedmonkey2015 I would laugh if the whitecaps fc lost next Canadian championship game. I also cheer for them too so saying that is funny to me

Too lucky for Pacific. If Rovers can make CPL, one day they can beat Pacific
Oh look, a SeMi-pRo keeper that looks competent cause he’s tactically sound.
Why did Pacific get a full extra minute of stoppage time, looks like Rovers kinda got robbed here
