yes, but did it have to be against my beautiful forge? i mean, i was having an above average sports week: ticats win in toronto, lewis wins in saudi arabia, liverpool win in wolverhampton. the only blemish was the biggest one possible, as west indies crumbled in Galle. a forge victory would have salved the wounds.

I don’t see games as a neutral too often but I’m so so happy I went on Sunday to witness a really fun game, tons of chances on both sides, and I’m pretty happy it’s a new champion crowned. Huge for the Canadian Premier League, huge for both Pacific and Forge who will each be in CONCACAF competitions next season, and I cannot wait for CanPL year 4!

I have not seen the match, but from the highlights, FC Forge was totally dominating the game. With good finishing, it would have been a massacre. Anyhow, good football!

Forge so many wide shots, it was like a broken gun .. 17 shots, only 2 on goal. Story of this game .. They beat themselves you could say. They had 70% possession, 10 corners to 2 .. more than twice the number of passes, and less than half as many fouls .. but the same shots on goal, 2!
For sure, was at the game, they were lousy, indeed!!!.. Some good short passing game, but too many shots were blocked/way off & also too many misspasses!!!.. u gotta credit Pacific, they were a Brick defensively, lol!!
I was a referee and did premier leagues, college and high school, all the way up to secondary official in the professional league, but it was in a soccer league.
One game was a carbon copy of this, the big University team in the state, against a podunk college team that had a club team. They had to go into the cafeteria and recruit players on the morning of the game, and showed up with a female player.
Big Shit U totally outclassed them. They completed up to 25 passes in the penalty area, looking for the perfect goal. One breakaway, goal by Podunk U. I knew BigShit U's captain and he complained to me, I just laughed and said that putting the ball in the net was also part of the game.
Podunk College won and celebrated the greatest heist in the history of the sport.
Forge establishing themselves as the big boys of the league, making 3 straight finals, is great. Pacific trusting in youth and going worst to first to win the championship is another great story.

I was there one of the pfc people hand balled and the ref did nothing
it wasnt a hand ball. replay showed it hitting his abdomen, not his arm.
