Chicken Tikka Marinate Ingredients
1 kg Skinless Boneless Chicken Breast/Thighs
1/2 cup Thick Yogurt
1 tsp Garam Masala Powder
1 tsp Turmeric Powder
3 tbsp Kashmiri Chilli Powder
1 tbsp Garlic Paste
1 tbsp Ginger Paste
2 1/2 tbsp Lemon Juice
1 1/2 tsp Salt
2 Tbsp Vegetable Oil
Gravy/Sauce Ingredients
2 medium Onions, finely chopped
1 tbsp Garlic Paste
1 tbsp Ginger Pate
1 1/2 cup Tomato Sauce
1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
2 tsp Red Chili Powder
2 tsp Coriander Powder
1 tsp Cumin Powder
2 1/2 cups Water
1 1/4 cup Fresh Cream
1 1/2 tbsp Tomato Ketchup
1/4 tsp Garam Masala
2 tbsp Dried Fenugreek Leaves, crushed (Kasuri Methi)
Vegetable Oil
Salt for seasoning- a pinch
Method
Clean and cut the chicken breast into bite-size pieces (tikkas). Marinate the cut chicken with all the items indicated above under Chicken Tikka Marinate (yogurt, garam masala powder, turmeric powder, Kashmiri chili powder, garlic paste, ginger paste, lemon juice, salt, vegetable oil) and set aside at room temperature for 30 minutes to an hour.
In a heated pot/pan add vegetable oil and place the tikkas but don’t crowd the pan. Fry until the chicken is seared on the first side and then turn. Sear on both sides, then remove the tikkas onto a plate to rest and repeat till you’ve seared all the chicken.
In the same pot/pan, add 2 tbsp vegetable oil and add the chopped onions. Fry on medium heat till golden brown in color.
Add the ginger and garlic paste and fry on low heat for 2 to 3 minutes till they lose their raw flavor
Add the tomato sauce, give it a mix, and allow the mixture to reduce a little.
Now add the turmeric, red chili, coriander, cumin powders. Give it a mix and allow it to cook till the oil separates in the mixture.
Add the fried tikkas and make sure that all the tikkas get well covered with the mixture. To create the gravy, add the water and give it a light mix.
Add the garam masala powder, give it a stir, and cover & cook on low heat for 10 mins. Add the cream and cook on low heat for 2 mins. Next, add the ketchup and salt to taste. Lastly add the crushed dried fenugreek leaves, crushed (Kasuri Methi), and cook on low heat for 2 mins.
Serve with naan or basmati rice. Enjoy! - Навчання та стиль

Thanks Sabira 🥰 I’m so happy that you enjoyed my Chicken Tikka Masala recipe😋
Thanks for this recipe Wendy! Planning on making it today! If I want to make it mild instead of spicy, how should I adjust the spices? Thanks again!
Hi Mari, this Chicken Tikka Masala is not spicy but if you want to reduce the spice I would suggest reducing the chilli powder. Enjoy!
@@PlatinItWithWendy thanks Wendy! I did make it the way your recipe was and it was a bit too spicy for us (no spice tolerance here!) next time I will reduce the chili. It was delicious though.
@@PlatinItWithWendyhi.. can one substitute cooking cream with plain yoghurt for masala sauce?
You could if you wanted Mari, but the flavour would change but it will still be delicious 😋
I am from Sudan, I love Masala extra spicy. thank you very much for this amazing video. Though it is a little bit difficult recipe but I am going to try it with my wife. But your kitchen is looking great and the food is incredibly fantastic.
Thanks Khalid, I’m sure you and your wife are going to enjoy preparing this Chicken Tikka Masala😋😋
I made this twice for my family. They loved it. So much so that the second time I made it, I had to double the recipe.
Thanks so much for your kind words & support.
Good recipe
Wonder if I can do it with left over duck or turkey roast esp after a festive occasion.
I have found as ' things on sticks' for s beer party it's excellent
Sushi, that’s an excellent idea. You could definitely use leftovers duck or Turkey to prepare this dish. Then of course you will have to call it duck or Turkey Tikka Masala 🤣🤣 Enjoy!
Look delicious
Thank you 😋
My favorite tikka masala recipe so far!!!!
Thank you so much 😊
i want to try this recipe now for my employer i hope they will like it..thanks for sharing ☺
Hope you enjoy
Came here after seeing your Ribbon sandwich on Facebook. Love your channel.
Deep thinking, I’m so happy that you love my channel. All my recipes are absolutely genuine and will turn out just the way you see them 🥰
Looks great, will try your recipe I have most of the ingredients. I think I’d some bullet chillis for some heat I know it’s not meant to be hot but it’s how I like it 😊
Thanks Peter. I am sure you will enjoy this recipe.
Great. Will try it
Enjoy
@@PlatinItWithWendy Hi Wendy, just tried and it was very, very good. Though made the half (500g chicken). This will be my „go-to“ Masala 🙂from now on. Thanks a lot!
PS: Please double check the recipe. Because there are 1-2 Moments where you say „Table spoon“ instead of „tea spoon“. Otherwise keep up the great work
The most important thing to me about this recipe is that right now, I'm 99.5% sure that I can actually do it and have it come out right thanks to your clear and easy description. The 0.5% hedging is because I'm not exactly sure where I'm going to find fenugreek or garam masala, so time to hunt down an Indian grocery store somewhere. :)
Thanks Frank for your kind words. I am sure you will enjoy the recipe.
Manna from heaven :D
Thank you. I tried your recipe after being disappointed by the Tikka's I found locally. Your recipe and directions made it easy and it was incredible to eat.
Glad you enjoyed the Chicken Tikka Masala
Wonderful
Thank you
Amazing
Thanks
wow!!! y'all really don't skip out on your spices, I love it ♥️ I'll try it this week
Thanks so much. Enjoy!
@@PlatinItWithWendy my grocery store didn't have all of the spices but I have most of them so I'll give a review tonight
@@PlatinItWithWendy it turned out good! for whatever reason I thought it would be spicy, it was not. I probably could have let it simmer for a while longer at the end. the flavor was good, just not as concentrated as I had hoped
apparently I totally forgot to add the heavy cream. that helped
Vow.Another super hit recipe. It turned out so yummy that we all licked our spoons, fingers and the serving bowl too. ❤
Wonderful! Thanks for your kind words & support.
I made this once, and my family won’t stop asking me to make more! It tasted A-mazing ✨
Thanks so much. Enjoy!
Nice explanation
Thanks Rose. Enjoy the recipe.

Hello from chicken. I want this Kyrgyzstan)
Love your video but have one question. Is there a way to minimize the use of salt? I have trouble with high blood pressure and still want to enjoy the masala.
Yes Mike you can reduce the salt.
Does anyone know how many this serves? I would need to make enough for four adults.
It should be good for 4 adults with ample amount for seconds
Look so Tempting stay connected
Hi wendy, what ready made tomato sauce do you use?
Heinz.
@PlatinItWithWendy thanks for the reply, I can only seem to find heinz tomato sauce for bolognese, is that the same thing? Or can I use chopped tinned tomatoes?
Hi I wanted to know how is this mixer grinder Preethi and how long you r using it
It’s good and have used it for over a year
How do u make the tomato sauce
Joe you will find the full written recipe on my website platinitwithwendy.com/

I just subscribed you thank you
Thanks for subbing!
I have a packet of tikka masala powder is that just the same as using all the spices? Is the tikka masala powder just all these mixed?
You will have to read the ingredients on the packet to know that 😊
What’s the name of that authentic Indian spice she added at the end. It look like dried time but I couldn’t hear what she was saying
Kasoori Methi.
Is the tomato sauce passata?
It is tomato purée.
@@PlatinItWithWendy thanks Wendy,,,my granddaughter (14) wants to have a go, with me doing the cutting
What's the ingredients please
The full written recipe is available on my website platinitwithwendy.com/😊
I'm surprised there's no green chilis in this recipe?
You could add them if you like 😊
@@PlatinItWithWendy I am going to try your recipe, even went to an Indian store to get some of the spices you mentioned. Your recipe sounds like it will taste like the one dish i order at the one Indian restaurant I go to. Thank you.
@@PlatinItWithWendy I made your Chicken Tikka Masala today for my son and grandson. They loved it, they took some home with them. I'm glad I got the kind of chili powder you mentioned. We all agreed, it was a keeper, thank you!
