    What is the best date to schedule a visa appointment after they recieve their I-20 or DS 2019?
    I have heard that scheduling a visa appointment too early from the earliest date of admission may cause the officer to refuse the visa. Am I right?

    • @chaiandcoaching
      @chaiandcoaching  2 роки тому +3

      From USCIS: New Students - Student (F and M) visas for new students can be issued up to 120 days in advance of the start date for a course of study. However, you will not be allowed to enter the United States on your student visa more than 30 days before the start date.

    Thank you for such an amazing video. I wanted to know if we are taking a student loan (as most indian students do) why it will have a negative impact and how to nullify that ? And do we have to show 1.5 times the fee for the whole 2 years or just 1 year fee mentioned on our I-20 ?

    • @chaiandcoaching

      taking a student loan shouldn't be a negative impact, that is normal for many students. It's important to have a plan for how you will pay it back.

    Hi, thanks for the informative video. I have a question regarding the prior refusal part. If an applicant is refused a tourist visa a few years ago on the first try, but is granted the visa on the second try the next month, would that have any significant implications while appearing for the F1 visa now? Note be taken that the applicant has a history of prior travel to the US for tourist purpose lasting around 10 days.

    I have been following your Chanel and thank you for te good works you are doing. Please I have admission to study in the USA . I have recieved my i20 from the university, however upon recieving it I realized they indicated the source of funding to be FAMILY, I wrote to them stating that I have my own enough personal funding for my studies and funding from family would just be supportive, the wrote back that the now do not require prove of source of funds as part of the application process so they enter the same amount and source of funds for all admitted students and I would have the chance to prove my source of fund at the visa interview. Now am about filling my DS 160 form in your opinion sir how do I enter my source of funds in my ds 160 form so it doesn't contradict my i20. Should I select the source of funds as self ? The first time I applied for B1/B2 visa was in 2010 in Africa, and it was refused to say that I should apply for my visa from my home country (India) with family. Now Once again I am planning to apply (alone) for B1/B2 visa from Africa, and in the DS-160 application, I have mentioned my last refusal, with no appropriate reason explained. I have got funded PhD program that also requires to show some family fund. Though my family showed financial support of around $13k, in my I20 it is still mentioned as $9k which leads my actual funding and estimated average cost for 12 months as exactly equal. May I know if it is too risky for F1 visa approval?

      @@felixadjei7427 gotcha, all depends on how you explain the situation to the VO. In America, your friend wouldn’t pay for your college tuition, so the VO is going to ask about that.

    When they ask if you have any family in the US do they mean immediate family: parents/siblings or any family like uncles, aunts?
    I have two uncles living in the US, so should I respond by saying I don’t have any immediate family in the US or I don’t have any family?

      Family in America includes aunts, uncles, cousins etc

      On the DS 160 form, it's made clear that immediate relatives are siblings ( brother/ sister), parents (mother or father ) spouse (husband/wife). Not Uncle/aunt or nephew/niece.
