Despite the fact that many of the scenes in these documentaries are obviously recreated with hired actors and other people, they did a surprisingly excellent job at recreating the scene, as if it was the real investigation in real life and they just brought camera people over to film it. I only came across Real Responders quite recently, about two weeks ago, but personally fell a bit interested in them, the complicated process the authorities go through to solve crimes, I did straight away know that these documentaries are definitely old, mostly based on American crimes from the 1970's to 1990's and are only being uploaded now.
@@totower9597 Well yes, obviously some of the original people in the crime and investigation can't be used for the documentary, so they have to re-create some of the scenes, and often with hired actors
The New Detectives ran from 1996 to 2004. If u started from the oldest video, u will see that the Detectives in the re-enactment were actors but in these recent ones, the real detective themselves play their role. I was confused at first coz they look so much alike but turns out they are the same person. They do such excellent jobs that even the reenactments look real
This is the first episode i've seen in a long while where by they don't say...... "In this episode some of the names have been changed"...... I enjoy these episodes regardless 😁
Dawn Ashworth and another young school girl the first dna solved crime, to which Colin Pitchfork the criminal, was caught by dna net , the first in the whole world. We keep wanting him to stay in jail (1980s he murdered the two girls at different times). It amazes us that the even contemplate releasing a double murderer of children.
We had a case in Sweden a couple of years ago where a man murdered his wife using a zip tie around her neck. He said she did it to herself, claiming she was depressed. He was convicted of murder. They were a completely normal couple to everyone outside, had adult children, were in the process of building a new home in order to leave their big house to their son and his growing family… The motive? He wanted to stay for the entire week at a big dance meet (it apparently goes on for a week every summer) and she only wanted to stay for about three days, since they had a house to finish and a company to work for (she did the finances in the family company), etc. The husband also had some kind of affair going on with a dance partner. This case shocked people in the area and the dance community. It was strange, brutal and really came out of nowhere.
Right!?!? With luck like that he’d be better off playing the lottery than robbing people! 😂 Then he was afraid he was on the cameras and would be accused of murder so he stole and destroyed the tape that would have proven his innocence? You just can’t fix stupid!

The narrator made a mistake. That’s odd. These shows are so accurate. He said the police went to the residence, but the woman was murdered at a storage facility. Just thought it was interesting.
Although on the surface, these appear to be financially motivated, there is a deeper sexual / control motive behind the crimes. The entry into the woman’s office space is a sexual thrill, and the manual strangulation indicates the need for /thrill from direct manual control over life and death. I don’t remember this case, thx for posting.
You make a clear, credible and compelling argument which superbly articulates the motivations of this pathetic, despicable murderer. I hope his arrest, conviction and execution brought some degree of comfort to the bereaved families whose beloved family members were so horrifically murdered.
@@viyannalangager4039 I agree, in most cases it points to a personal rage against a known victim, typically a current or ex partner. But seems most the rest of the cases are serial killers with perhaps a rage against women in general and and/or a sadistic need to have control over someone else’s life/death.

There is something especially horrifying about a zip tie around the neck, glad he got the chair.
