thanks so much for this video. this was the first video that showed up when i searched "how to take apart RC cooling fan" and this video was perfect. i put my wires directly facing another fan up along the side pinching them in between the 2 fans and both wires got cut so i had to un solder them at the motor and shorten them/ re strip them. its a $20 fan and i got it working perfect. a little advice to any dudes with hairy chests, when taking that little white plastic thing out make sure you have your shirt off. mine popped right out and got caught in my chest hair, no joke. made it super easy.
That’s awesome. I’m glad the video helped. Those fans can get expensive. Nice pro-tip with the chest hair! That little clip can certainly jump out and fly to some other dimension. Good luck with your RC racing!
I hate soldering and I'm no good at it. Probably why I dont have any race electric cars. Lol I'm surprised you don't have one of those 3rd hand clamp trees for soldering. Dont forget to plug the other fan back in. Another great informational video.
Thank you sir! I saw your video on your 5th scale damage. That looks brutal!! Fixing all that is going to take some work I imagine. Good luck sir, and your right I should get me one of those soldering trees... Anyway, thank you again for checking out my video and I look forward to seeing more of your content.
I know this was done over a year ago but have you tried stepping up a gauge (like 20 or 18 gauge) so the wires will be less fragile? Also, the ones I have all have a c clip (not a white washer) and these fans aren’t cheap. I probably have $2-300 in broken fans. I have hell getting that clip off and when I do it goes flying or is destroyed.
Good news! I just broke another fan. Originally I thought that I didn’t have a broken fan that was still glued. It turns out I do. I will make that video soon. Thank you for the recommendation!
Had a rc cooling fan where u cant tear them down like u did in this video think thoses are the real cheap ones u have to make a hole and there's no sticker

Sorry for the late response. Upping the wire gauge sounds like a great idea. I’ll have to give that a try. Those c-clips sound like a real hassle.
Did you get that from my dad complaining last week at the track? We keep busting them!
Ha, well not intentionally but I hope it helps you guys! I’m looking forward to getting back to racing and hope to see you both there.
Can you make a video where the board doesn't come off so easily and you have to use acetone???
