I thought that black but was a pry spot
I got mine me to work thanks!
Awesome! Thank you for commenting.
Need some applause I presume
Had a rc cooling fan where u cant tear them down like u did in this video think thoses are the real cheap ones u have to make a hole and there's no sticker
thanks so much for this video. this was the first video that showed up when i searched "how to take apart RC cooling fan" and this video was perfect. i put my wires directly facing another fan up along the side pinching them in between the 2 fans and both wires got cut so i had to un solder them at the motor and shorten them/ re strip them. its a $20 fan and i got it working perfect. a little advice to any dudes with hairy chests, when taking that little white plastic thing out make sure you have your shirt off. mine popped right out and got caught in my chest hair, no joke. made it super easy.
That’s awesome. I’m glad the video helped. Those fans can get expensive. Nice pro-tip with the chest hair! That little clip can certainly jump out and fly to some other dimension. Good luck with your RC racing!
I know this was done over a year ago but have you tried stepping up a gauge (like 20 or 18 gauge) so the wires will be less fragile? Also, the ones I have all have a c clip (not a white washer) and these fans aren’t cheap. I probably have $2-300 in broken fans. I have hell getting that clip off and when I do it goes flying or is destroyed.
Sorry for the late response. Upping the wire gauge sounds like a great idea. I’ll have to give that a try. Those c-clips sound like a real hassle.
Great video bro... What esc and motor are u using? Both sensored?
Thank you. Its been a while since I've been out to the Track. I am using a GL Racing ESC (sensored) and a GL Race motor (6800 kv) <= This motor makes the car into a rocket!
Hi. Please tell me, how fast charge this wireless charger?
I’m not sure. When my battery starts to get low I simply put the radio on the charging pad in between races. I haven’t had to let it charge for more than an hour. Although my battery has never been completely dead.
@@briandrake8557 okey thank you very much!
Can you make a video where the board doesn't come off so easily and you have to use acetone???
Good news! I just broke another fan. Originally I thought that I didn’t have a broken fan that was still glued. It turns out I do. I will make that video soon. Thank you for the recommendation!
Those little connectors like that can be very tricky and it is normal for you to have to retry multiple times before you get a solid connection! I just did some my self and it would be way easier if you buy the crimp tool instead of the pliers the crimp forms the metal in a perfect bend were the pliers can't to that.
I certainly learned that the hard way. Thank you for the advice and for commenting on this video. I’ll have to look into getting a crimp tool.
@@briandrake8557 Or get a male to female servo extender. Then cut it in half.
Nice RC action video
Thank you, and thanks for watching!
Hey I'm trying this upgrade and my remote wont turn on unless it's on the charger pad and it says low battery but I know it's not. It shuts off as soon as I take it off the charge pad. Any ideas?
Hmm, hard to say. It kinda sounds like the radio power out and battery power in wires are switched. That would explain why it only turns on when on the charger and why it says low battery. Since the charging circuit isn’t pushing out as much juice as the battery does. But I don’t really know. Let me know if you figure out the problem.
Brian Drake thanks for your reply. I triple checked and its wired up just as your diagram shows. If I start switching wires do you think I can damage the remote?
It really is hard to say with any certainty what’s wrong. It could be possible that the circuit board is faulty. Again, if I were to guess based on how you described your problem. It simply sounds like the wires were switched. It might also be possible that the circuit board manufacturer changed the wire configuration.
Are you still using this mod, how is your Lipo after a couple of charges ?
Yup still using the mod. I have only had to put it on the wireless charging pad once so far. As far as I can tell there is no noticeable drain from the circuit. Thanks for the question. I was thinking of doing a follow up video at some point.
Did you get that from my dad complaining last week at the track? We keep busting them!
Ha, well not intentionally but I hope it helps you guys! I’m looking forward to getting back to racing and hope to see you both there.
I hate soldering and I'm no good at it. Probably why I dont have any race electric cars. Lol I'm surprised you don't have one of those 3rd hand clamp trees for soldering. Dont forget to plug the other fan back in. Another great informational video.
Thank you sir! I saw your video on your 5th scale damage. That looks brutal!! Fixing all that is going to take some work I imagine. Good luck sir, and your right I should get me one of those soldering trees... Anyway, thank you again for checking out my video and I look forward to seeing more of your content.
Welcome back brotha!!!
Thank you sir. It has been a while...
The RC community is great. One good idea spawns another. Strong work Brian!
I agree, I have met some great people in the RC community. Thanks for watching and commenting on the video.
Great video!, Gllad you made it for everybody can see this and do the mod 👍
nice thank you✌❤
Thank you for watching. Hope it helps!
Godd job brotha, I have to make it down to that track soon...
Thank you sir. I see you got that nice new hauler bag. That should make traveling much easier. I look forward to racing with you again!
The racing was great that day can't wait for the New Year Shootout.
It was a good day. I wish I could have done better but there were too many great racers there. Thank you for watching the video.
Nice mod brotha
Great video. I watched the same video where you got the idea. I just bought a m17 and even more recently got the wireless upgrade to add also.
Ha, I just saw your video right after posting this one. That M17 looks nice! I am bit jealous but I am also happy this mod is working.
Good stuff brotha....
Another great video. I've been meaning to come out there so I can see how the 10th scales do it. I bought a xray xb4 but have no idea how to set it up.🤣
XB4 is a good car. I have been thinking of making some videos on car setup that I have learned over the years... just don't know how to make it interesting. Anyway, it would be great to race with you at The Track. Everyone I have met there is awesome so if you have any problems with your car there is no shortage of support. Next weekend (11/16 and 11/17) is suppose to be a big race. The Turkey Leg Shootout.
Good idea. I might have to mount something like that on one of my 5th scales
Thanks for this. I've been considering putting a Go pro session on my B64D, I just hadn't figured out how to yet. Great Idea.
how did you mount the Go Pro?
Thank you for the question, I just uploaded a video showing where and how I mounted my GoPro. Let me know if you have any other questions and thank you for subscribing!
Good stuff here well put together I really like the part with my truggy in it
You know what they say, a nitro driver is only as good as their pit guy. What place did your truggy get? Oh that’s right, 1st. 😄
Nice brotha, great coverage.... now I wish I would have stayed, thanks again for the logo's
No worries sir. It sucks that you had so many problems that day. I saw your new winter builds. I can’t wait to check them out next season!
I keep running into you first at "the track" then when you were pitting for truggy race I didn't realize it was you. Sorry for taking you when you were recording, my bad. Next time I'll know stay out the way of your video 😉
Ha, no worries. I look forward to seeing you at The Track this winter and can't wait for next seasons 1/8th scale races at Scope Cr33p!
@@briandrake8557 I was out at the track Friday night but just to see Mike. I have to get my buggy and truggy right before I can start on and electric RC. ( I'm thinking about a TLR 22 ) any thoughts on that truck or should I go another route I'm just learning all of this?
TLR is a good company, to be honest just about all the major racing brands are great. It really comes down to esthetics and part support. The only other consideration you need to make is what class you would like to race in. Right now 4wd buggy is the biggest class. There haven’t been too many people racing their 2wd buggies lately and I almost never see anyone racing SCT or truggys anymore. At The Track at least...
EXCELLENT EXCELLENT EXCELLENT video bruh👍🏽 You captured every aspect of the day with great footage and music. By far the best RC race video I've seen. 👏🏽👏🏽💥👌🏽👍🏽
Thank you sir! Wish you could have made it out there. It was a great day.
@@briandrake8557 You and me both. Damn work!!🤣 But that's how we pay for these toys right? Congrats on your placements also👍🏽
Nice editing, sweet video brotha 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Thank you sir! Hope to see you at the next race. Your videos make me want to consider getting a nitro buggy next season.
Good footage brotha, you on your way 👍🏾
Thank you sir and thank you for all your advice on Sunday!
Great video and editing bruh👍🏽 Add a little bit on the nitro sound and she will be perfect.
Ha, thank you sir! I will make sure to add more of that Braap in my future videos.
