How To Get Amazing Photos In Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge

- Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is filled with awesome photo opportunities. It’s easy to get a great photo in Batuu, but we have some tips and tricks for you that will up your Instagram game while visiting Black Spire Outpost. We will tell you about locations that are often overlooked but produce awesome Star Wars photos, and we’ll also share some secret tips that you might not know about.
Top 10 Galaxy’s Edge Photos Tips and Tricks
1. The Gigantic Doors: Hidden at the west end of the marketplace, this castmember utility entrance is great for big scope epic shots like Force Chokes. No one is ever over here, which makes it a great place to get a shot of just you and your group without massive crowds of tourists in the background.
2. The Flag Door: A cool looking door below some ragged flags next to the milk stand.
3. The Holograms: Photopass photographers in specific locations offer “hologram photos” that will allow you to come within close contact with a Porg and Salacious Crumb.
4. Millenium Falcon Tips: Everyone gets a photo at the chess table, but here are a few tips to get better and more unique shots inside the Falcon.
Many people miss the Kissing Spot, the nook where Han kisses Leia, a perfect photo op for couples.
Also the exit for the ride offers a good photo inside the Falcon hallways without having to worry about getting in people’s way of having tourists in the background of your shot.
5. Falcon at Night: The best photo in front of the Millenium Falcon is at night time while holding a lightsaber. Make sure the Photo Pass photographer gets some shots without flash with only the saber lighting up your face. Also, try to get photos during the Disneyland fireworks. Besides the fact that there is usually no line for photos during this time because everyone is looking at the show in the sky, the photopass photographers will frame the images to make it look like a big space battle is happening in the atmosphere above you.
6. Let’s Talk About Photo Pass: Batuu offers cool in-world PhotoPass cards, which make for a cool free souvenir. Can’t beat that in Disneyland. The Disneyland PhotoPass app allows you to add cool exclusive photo boarders to your images. Let’s be honest, Photopass photographers can be awesome or bad, you just gotta go with it. But we’ve found good luck in encouraging them to be creative and do something beyond the normal photo.
7. The Resistance Tactical Display: This is a cool photo op often overlooked because it’s part of the Rise of the Resistance ride entrance. It’s great at night.
8. Blue Stripe Wall: The Magic Kingdom’s Space Mountain has the famous instagram Purple Wall, and now Galaxy’s Edge brings you the Blue Stripe Wall. Located in the courtyard right outside Droid Depot, this wall just looks so uniquely Star Wars for whatever reason.
9. Speeder Bike: Most vehicles within Batuu are not within touching distance but if you go over by the entrance of Savi’s Workshop you will find a full-size Speeder Bike (as seen in Solo: A Star Wars Story) that you can sit on and get a cool photo. This photo op is often overlooked because the crowds looking to buy scrap metal at Savi’s tend to block it.
10. The Imperial Door: Right across from Oga’s Cantina is this Imperial looking door that looks amazing when lit up at night.

That is exactly what I have been doing and you are right
Getting photos in the Falcon hallway is definitely preferred at the end of the ride. There is no time limit to get photos after the ride, as opposed to the hallways before the ride when you are being rushed to the loading area.

I personally like the big fans to the left of the Smugglers Run exit! Those are really cool at night when they’re lit blue. Also, there’s one more door to the right of the landspeeders! Kinda basic, but a really cool aesthetic like the other doors you pointed out. Great video!

Oh look, the speeder from Solo, A Star Wars Story. Well, there it is.
Thank you for pointing out the Falcon photo op at the EXIT of the ride. You get more time to pose compared to before the ride. Also for the giant door that looks like from Jabba's Palace, it'd be a nice spot to get a photo with a newly adopted monkey-lizard. It's perfect!

Next to Savis Workshop (The scrapparts) is a huge banner thats look like a lightsaber. Great photo when you wait to build a lightsaber. There is also a magical photo at the millenium Falcon photo pass fotographer that takes you at a flight above Batuu and back. Johan.

We went to Galaxy’s edge for the first time in March and had a great photo pass photographer in front of the Millennium Falcon, and now I want to do it again with the fireworks in the background. I'm 51 now, live in Portsmouth, Hampshire, UK, and did all the theme parks in the late 80's and early 90's and sadly don't think I'll get back there again, so to see all the parks and events through your fantastic videos makes me so happy. So, great idea for a video! However I can confirm, at least as of yesterday, photographers NO LONGER take photos during fireworks in front of the falcon. Stopped for crowd purposes. Kind of a bummer, but they now move the photographers infront of the Tie Echelon during the fireworks. :(

This was great! I missed seeing this video before my trip in January 2020. When Disneyland reopens, I'll definitely hit these spots for photos. I did get a great photo of getting hugged by Chewie in front of the big doors though. That area really makes for great shots.

Ordinary Adventures - the Gigantic Doors, during day time and at night. It was kinda private and not many people walk through it. Spent like almost 60 mins doing lightsaber photos at night in front of it , as we both built our own. I was Dark side and she was Light side lol

Question? I know you can have your purchases shipped to your home but can you order out of stock items while your there and have them shipped. Only gonna be able to go once and I dont want to miss out out on a couple legacy sabers I want.
Going to Galaxy's Edge for the first time in April. I know you can have a photographer take your photos but how do you get them? In order to get the photopass do you have to pay for the memory maker?
Ah, nice! So many good spots for photos away from the main spots! I am a photographer (not Disney), and I keep wanting to do photoshoots there, with appropriately themed outfits, but I can never get any of my friends to go for it! I've seen all these locations you pointed out (except Millenium Falcon interior, because I didn't get to go on the ride), plus so many more awesome locations! If you guys want your own personal photographer to follow you around the park, let me know!

Thanks. The funny thing is there was no one around to take the photo so I took the photo of Kitra jumping in the air and then she came and replaced me as camera man and I went over and she toke my photo of doing the choke and we combined the images in photoshop later haha
