Thanks for posting this video. I have always enjoyed watching combines work. We own a farm in Arkansas that we rent out to a farmer who farms about 4,500 acres. Our farm produces corn, soybeans and at times rice.
I bet the rear tires on that combine are larger than the front tires on the IH 915 combine I would see often getting stuck on our farm. As a kid less than 10 years old I said to my brother why don't they put larger tires and or duals on it as it keeps getting stuck. That brother also had a 77 F250 Supercab. Me being the youngest I had to sit in the back and it was a pita to get there. I said why don't they make short 3rd and 4th doors for the Supercab? My ideas were ahead of their time.
At 8:15 it would be better to cut into the corn to the left for the cart and get the combine back on it's correct set of rows so when you finish dumping u can just pull off and start chewing instead of waiting for the cart to back out of the way
This farm is all Case IH. We work to make sure to cover all brands. In our videos through out the season we follow three all Case IH farms, three all John Deere farms, two AGCO farms, a Challenger/Lexion Farm and a New Holland farm.
The corn head harvests 16 rows spaced 30 inches apart. The combines covers 40ft of corn per pass. In 2016 corn was right at 200 bu. In 2017 it was around 230 thanks to good rains at the right times.
A couple of farms here in Iowa have started on corn also.. The average has been 18 to 23% on. the corn .but yield I don't know yet. guessing between 180 to 200 bushel...
I am not sure. It's a good sized operation. This is just one field they farm. Several farms in the area have big 1,000 to 2,500 acre fields. There is a 1,000 acre field right next to this one where we filmed 8 John Deere S690 combines cutting wheat in a big storm.
Just a fence row separates the 3,000 acre field from this 1,000 acre field the wheat harvest was filmed in during this video m.ua-cam.com/video/7nvPlfbvbRc/v-deo.html
+bigtractorpower just wanted to make sure you knew there ain't enough time in a day for a farmer to use 4.5 seconds per bushel getting it off the combine.... lol
Taking 40 feet at a time at that speed ,what a beast ,loved the video.
Thank you so much for posting these videos. I learn a lot as I watch them!
Wow, what a great video. So nice to have your dialog and explanation of everything. Big Thank You! I'm going to check out the rest of your channel.

Awesome footages, keep the videos coming, you do a great job !!

Very nice equipment. It takes a lot of trucks to keep the grain away from a 16 row machine.
reyt good vid,we run a 9240,just finished our maize harvest here in Yorkshire UK
must be a 1200 bushel chaser. Tracks are definitely the way to go, we use soucey on all our combines and tractors. No more getting stuck

awesome videos big tractor do you ever film up here in ontario canada we have some big farmers here as well
One mean machine!
first great video
Is this the 2016 crop? It seems early.
Is there much of a cost difference between wheel / track on combines. Is this the same farm that runs the deere combines in your other videos ?
about 60-80k difference

Yes tracks are an extra cost.
nice video
you already recorded the challenger MT 875 e
How many rows is that head and how wide of an area does it get per pass and what's the field turning out in bushels per acre?

tracks are about $60,000 option

Good around here in Ohio it has been 18.9 through the twenty’s good moisture
Will big tractor power ever be purchasing a drone?
Where is this harvesting??
Nice!
+Michael Schiffner thank you for watching.
I bet 2.80 corn doesn't pay for this kind of equipment?
where was this at
About an hour north of Nashville,TN
How many acres does this farm run?

+bigtractorpower so they run case and deer combine?
This farm in the video is all Case IH. On the other side of the fence is an all John Deere farm.
+bigtractorpower do. have any video coming of garnett. farms corn harvest
Pinches gabachos como los admiro .para todo se organizan bien nada que ver en este mendigo país que es mexico
That's frank
It's 4.5 bushel per second. Not 4.5 second per bushel. Videos are better without the commentary in my opinion.
Your commentary is what is not necessary.
I like I want .....case ih quadtrac big
they unload 4.5 bushels per second. not 4.5 seconds per bushel
I get tripped up trying to say that. It's hard to roll all the info out off the top of my head and film.
+bigtractorpower just wanted to make sure you knew there ain't enough time in a day for a farmer to use 4.5 seconds per bushel getting it off the combine.... lol
No other country can feed as many people as we can. "Don't complain with your mouth full"!
That is not how this corn works
They are my cousins
Very cool.
You repeat yourself like 2 or 3 times about every fact
I swear he repeated the same things like 20 times over
Wrong color!!
