And I thought the slightly smaller 8250 was huge, Welker Farms has two of them and they just *barely* fit in the garage they have with inches to spare.
I was an IH dealer manager and sold the first rotary combine, a 1460 with a 22' header! Total sale was around $53000.00! Whew things have changed alot and I'm retired!
I used one of those but with a 36" ft macdon on it. It was in west australia in pretty marginal area so the capacity of the combine vs size of header weren't an issue
These videos don’t seem long at all to me even the ones that are half an hour long I mean I truly love the perspective of what it’s like being in a Case IH combine and getting to see how it harvests the corn or soybeans it’s just so mesmerizing
@@bigtractorpower The most favorite part of your videos that I love to watch and I love to watch the whole video is when you get in the cab and then the way the Case IH Axial Flow Combine harvests the corn so by all means I hope you’ll make a video where your in the cab but this time for most of the video your in the cab for most of the video and that way it’ll enable viewers like myself to see from the cab the corn getting harvested
It is a good way record the history of these machines. What is new today will be historical in a few years. Sharing the specs and price helps show the progression over time.
My brothers and I (all retired) operate a family farm in SE Iowa. We are more-or-less hobby farmers, using our dad's IH 1460 combine from the late 1970's. We raise corn and soybeans in 30 inch rows and harvest with 6-row heads. I love watching your videos of modern ag equipment in action. Keep up the good work!
Absolutely love seeing this machinery in operation, and the synchronization between equipments potential . Seems like the speed of harvesting greatly depends on the amount of transporters is involved. Farmers are so vastly under appreciated by public without them their wouldn’t be a need for grocery stores . I wish our government would realize how important they are and reward them ,instead of creating obstacles for them and taking their funds and redistributing on people and foreign entities that could care less . Love you Farmers wish I was in control of funds ! Y’all would be ahead of em all and military would be seconds ! Handouts would be at the bottom of my list
They've been shelling corn pretty steady here in eastern Illinois as well. We seen 2 brand new fendt machines with 16 row heads yesterday. My first time seeing one in person.
The combines are always impressive, but that cart operator in the beginning was pretty damn slick too, backing right up to the second combine like nothing
It's awesome it's harvest time. This farm is obviously well organized. Great equipment and always enjoy hearing from the farmer. Would love to see their grain handling system sometime. Very cool video Jason.
I work for a farm that uses 2 John Deere 9660 STS combines 1 is a Bullet Rotor combine, their oldest brother uses a John Deere 9760 STS combine and these combines are used to harvest corn, milo, soybeans, and wheat. They use a John Deere 893 8 row corn head with hydralic deck plates to harvest corn. For wheat, milo, and soybeans, they use anything from a 635D 35' rigid draper head, a 936D 36' rigid draped head, and for soybeans, they only use 2 combines and they are equipped with 630F 30' flex heads since you gotta have a flex head to harvest soybeans.
Can you just imagine the looks on the faces of farmers if somehow you could transport all this equipment in this video back to 1950 or even 1960 and put it in a field during the middle of harvest in that area? LOL Case/ IH sure makes some nice looking combines and they seem to be able to really take in the crops, it appears to be even above their rated capacity.
Those 3 machines could knock out 500 acres a day. Depending on the turn around time for the trucks, they would need a pretty big fleet to keep the corn away.
Thanks Jason, great video. Love the specs, prices, capacity, etc. you provide. As some others have stated, I also think about what it takes to keep that combine fleet moving. If the farmer is willing to supply the info, would be interesting to know their on-farm grain drying and storage capacity, number of trucks, tractor/grain carts, people, maintenance time, and general support required. Everything is going to fill up fast. Just a suggestion.
Yes a "shed" or "barn" walk around would be a great addition. Be really cool to see the farms tillage equipment, planters and haulage truck.Could even be a separate video so as to keep the videos down to around the 15 minute mark. Keep up the good work 🚜🌽
I am not sure how many acres they cover. I would say a class 9 combine is good to harvest 2,500 acres of corn on its own so the farm has a fair amount of corn acres which rotate to wheat and double crop soybeans in 2023.
The corn head has a trailer it detached in it and pick up tows it down the road. I have some videos on Case IH 9240s on this same farm moving down the road.
we are retired the last year we farmed we had 920 acres in row crops we last farmed in 2015 we had a 5088 case ih combine we own 520 acres and a mother in law owns another 80 we have a tenant his combine is a 2388 case ih not sure how many acres he farms
The X9 will move 7,200 bu an hour. There is a bigger Case IH in the works right now that will jump into the class 10 market with Deere, Fendt, New Holland and CLAAS.
In all reality, these guys are not self employed. They are working for CaseIH, John Deere, Seed Co.'s, Chemical co.'s, Fertilizers suppliers, Fuel distributors, Chevy, Ford, Dodge, Irrigation equip. Co.'s, Landlords, Ect. and hopefully have enough left over to provide for their families. I admire them but there's no way I'd trade places with them.
Just think there's 3 million dollars just in combines and heads alone right there plus quadtracks auger carts and im sure lots of semis that why when people say oh those rich farmers I get mad and go no those good bankers
The 9250 is an impressive machine. Case makes a good combine and their quadtrac tractors are nearly unbeatable
The 9250 really shines in corn with a 4416 head.
And I thought the slightly smaller 8250 was huge, Welker Farms has two of them and they just *barely* fit in the garage they have with inches to spare.
Two 8250s, not the 9250.

Da gusto ver cosechar estás máquinas , y buena grabación, para mí son las mejores,
This is an awesome video Jason. The gentleman running the combine was also very informative. Thank you.
Amazing. Those guys impress me every year with their equipment. Thanks
Great video as always. Love to hear the farmers perspective on what they purchase and run.

3 combines, 15,000 bushels per hour. My grandfather harvested 600 bushels per day in the 60’s with a pull behind Massey Harris.

Hi friend this video was great
Man can you imagine how fast they could harvest my 36 acre patch of corn. Take longer to put the heads on than it would to pick it.

Thank you for watching. I am not sure how many acres of corn. They run two 16 row strip till bars and three high speed 16 row planters.

Very cool. Nice combines.
Yes. Very nice machines

Thanks for sharing Jason and I was wondering how many acres does this farmer tend total?
I am not sure. It is a good amount. They plant with three high speed 16 row corn planters.
Hmm that's interesting, I figured they planted with a couple 32 rows.
Could you explain what is an axial-flow combine?
How does it leave Field?

I’m surprised the coupler between the hydro and transmission hasn’t broken on it like all the ones around here
I have not heard of that happening. The 9250 is a big seller in WKY.

Yes it is.
Do the carts run the same line as combine did
They try to to reduce compaction.

They run three high speed 16 row planters. A Kinze 3660, CIH 2150 and 2140. Hope a 2150S soon.
