The problem is Rob doesnt understand some of these new podcasts are just a group of guys kicking back and chatting and is not an interview. KD casually gave 3 names but said its actually more like a big 30, but Rob having a heart attack like it was a deep point of questioning that needs explanation. So emotional lol

Big 3 doesn’t necessarily equate to best. LeBron Steph and KD are the most recognizable and marketable players still easily. Also, They have a strange obsession with this international player stuff. Chris with his international takeover claim and Rob with his disrespect for international player angle. So much so that Rob thought Windhorst chastising Luka during the finals was solely because he was international smh
International players have won the last 6 MVPs and have composed 80% of the past two All-NBA First Teams. The best handful (mostly) of players currently are not American.
Giannis, Luka, Jokic. I'm not a fan of either of these 3, but damn it's pretty obvious they are the top 3 at the moment.
id say they are the three best player but not necessarily the big three because they don't tick all the boxes. For example Joker is not that popular that's why you see he never makes the top 5 of all star votes and his jersey sales were the tenth best selling in the NBA. Lebron, Curry, Durant sill make more money off the court (endorsements) that the others. Giannis has probably replaced KD as he had the most all star votes beating Lebron who has reigned supreme for 10 years, he made the second most money after Lebron, and he has the hardware to back it up. Luka has no hardware so that's a box he still needs to tick and he does not yet have the popularity or marketability of a Kevin Durant who stands behind Lebron and Steph. Luka Joker and Giannis are all currently better players but only Giannis has a claim to the big three as he ticks all the boxes.

The question was surrounding who has the biggest market. No matter how you look at KD he is still on top of the league. You can push your narrative to attract Curry and Lebron audiences to your show in order to make a living. The fact KD on one leg has been in literally top 5 to 7 since coming from that injury should never be overlooked. Go look at how man young players coming into the league view KD as their Goat over Lebron or Curry. It is overwhelming.

In context of what of conversation they had on the pod, I have no issue with what KD said. They started talking about Kendrick, Drake, & J Cole. Then Speed said he’s in the big 3 of streamers with Kai Cenat & Adin Ross. They just asked who is the NBA version of Big 3, and he’s right. Lebron, KD and Steph have been the most relevant players of the last decade. Jokic, Luka, & Giannis are at this moment now. That’s no slight to the foreign players.
