Keep up the good work you too my friend and i hope you to consider to start micro-soldering repairs It’s fun and will take your repairs ability to a new level best of luck bro .one to your fans
I wonder what people think of me while seeing me spend hours watching these repair videos. Boy they just can not understand how satisfying it is to see micro electronics being repaired under the microscope. It is a different world. Thank you NorthridgeFix.
Inspiring, as usual! Manufacturer video for the replacement traces shows laying down a very thin layer of solder mask underneath the new copper. I recommend this approach.
Thanks for sending in the pads. I honestly wanted the pads to be free and flexible, rather then fixed. I'll try solder mask under in a different scenario. I appreciate the suggestion.
i have tried few times on donor boards as practice. Soldermask was to thick and pads drowned :D but it is a good idea if done correctly. Hard to do tho.
I work for a repair shop and I had to do trace work on a Xbox One S. Customer came in with a the hdmi port completely off the motherboard. I had to trace three wires to the hdmi port. I was blown away once I fixed it. It was my first hdmi repair and first trace work repair. Seeing your reaction at 12:40 was very similar to how I felt once I saw the screen light up. I love your videos!
Even with the missing and cut down footage, this video shows just how good he is at what he does. I know from experience, that was a bitch of a repair. Those pad strips showed their worth in this repair as well.
I just finished successfully replacing my first nintendo switch usb-c port, that was only possible with the help of this mans videos. Let me tell you, he makes this job look so easy but it is far from it. I'm working with a hakko fx-888 with a good a selection of tips, a cheap hot air station, a cheap digital microscope and a hand held magnifying glass. But I know it would'nt have been any easier if Id been sitting at his bench using his more expensive equipment. Thank you so much for this channel Alex, kindest regards from Australia.
Your skills are amazing. You make it look so easy. I've repair my share or consoles and attempted my first HDMI replacement and didn't go so good. I was very discouraged but decided to go ahead and order a microscope and other tools. Thank you for your videos
I found out that i should i always watch your videos when i am finished with my work. Its so relaxing and chilling to watch you fixing those things. Very good job, love it. Thank you
Those pads are tiny, good job on fixing the pads and traces and incredible skills getting up and running, fixed a friends ps4 hdmi port today i havn't done any soldering in years but i didnt lift any pads thank god, all working again thanks to videos like this. You guys rock, its far from easy.
Superb video and very skilful work. As an amateur electronics enthusiast it would have been great to have been talked through what chemicals etc and equipment you were using throughout.
I love watching your videos every morning with a cup of coffee. You are skilled troubleshooter and a fantastic orator. You are an artist and your canvas is broken electronics.
I just finished working on an Xbox Series X with 2 missing pads. I can relate to that smile he had at the end of the video, time consuming but very worth it when it works!
Great Job as usual, and what I like most is the obvious joy he feels when it works, each and every repair.... This is someone who adores his job... Keep it up super boss... w enta men Troblous. :-)
I loooove when non technician people try to repair something like that. In lot of cases, regular repair like change usb or hdmi port becomes to a disaster :)
I just did my first series x the other day after doing hundreds of other consoles (thanks to you lol). This is an absolute nightmare. Great work as always, my guy!
Awesome job indeed! I must say everytime I see previous repair attempt the flux cleanup looks terrible but clearly you cleanup the flux residue much better than others 👍
We say no more than 3 pads but we always spend more time than we should. Looked messy but worked out in the end. Good job. I should get some of those pads. If you put some cover over pads and scratch them off they will hold better.
This one was more complex than first time when You use this new product for pads repair.. 👍 Suggestion - for HDMI ripped pads repair, ask price for job as for 2-3 laptop repair if pads counts more than two.. 😉 Not all repair services want to touch devices with so time consuming job..
Coincidentally had to do this same repair a little over a week ago but on a PS5 with 9 ripped pads, it took me hours but I managed to do it, I’ll never understand how you can do these so fast man 😄
I do soldering practice here at home but not that micro solder. I have a bit of shaky hands. I don't want to mess up things. 🤣I wish I could also do micro soldering. Super Alex is a Legend!
Seems easy ain't it but in real life thats required a master skill to achieve that kind of repair i've done it twice and both got fucked up with my vibrator hand, lol, great job masta like always!
Pro tip. If you are diy changing an hdmi port. Get it hot and slowly give the port little wiggles from the middle. Do not tug or pull. You gotta loosen that solder from the hdmi pins connecting to the board pins. If you pull it at an angle those pins will pull out with it. If you barely do it it is definitely fixable but do not just rip it out lol. It can be tough just be patient.
I hope u can redesign that copper pad so u can get more wire. like one up and one down I hate to see the amount of copper goes to waste. thank you for sharing
the lesson is practice, practice, practice before attempting a repair at home. then again, i am not sure any amount of practice would help with that fix.. crazy skills on display.. the job is done..
As someone who is currently learning how to micro solder, I wanna say thank you for the detailed videos. You're awesome.
Keep up the good work you too my friend and i hope you to consider to start micro-soldering repairs It’s fun and will take your repairs ability to a new level best of luck bro .one to your fans
You came to the right channel
Yoooo I was gonna recommend this channel to you when you said you were learning how to micro solder, wow! 😄
Aaahh Guru Is Here😄
I suggested you this channel in one of ur videos this channel is great if you are new to soldering
This guy is a genius when it comes to fixing people's screw ups 🤣
For repairing larger pads and traces where those pieces are too small, copper tape works wonderfully!
Love to see big boss doing a video now and again about taking things apart
I will be adding a camera on his bench soon.
@@NorthridgeFix that's great

@@Dmiliunas try scraping those drowned pads again

This looks like something that requires lots of soldering experience and a steady hand!
You dont like to work on more than 3 broken pads, but still smile when its fixed, that you can tell that you love your work! We love it to!
Really admire how you can deal with those small ripped pads and traces. Awesome work!
Even with the missing and cut down footage, this video shows just how good he is at what he does.
I know from experience, that was a bitch of a repair. Those pad strips showed their worth in this repair as well.
This was a pretty cool video. You're VERY good at what you do, and I can tell you take satisfaction in helping people.

Best channel ever, been fixing devices I threw away, thank you for sharing your knowledge
Each time I see your videos I learn something new. Thanks for sharing
Thank you for this video. Its the gift that keeps on giving to hobby repair guys like myself.
Your skills are amazing. You make it look so easy. I've repair my share or consoles and attempted my first HDMI replacement and didn't go so good. I was very discouraged but decided to go ahead and order a microscope and other tools. Thank you for your videos
I always love when you do that pan back to your workspace, with the comfy chair and mad engineer aesthetic. :)
I picture him as being the repair guy in the film Book of Eli ;)
Alex just don’t only bring the best tech repair videos but he is an asset to the tech repair industry
I found out that i should i always watch your videos when i am finished with my work. Its so relaxing and chilling to watch you fixing those things.
Very good job, love it. Thank you
Yeah I do the same
You definitely have steady hands. Enjoy watching your work and the way you teach at the same time. Thank you.

That customer murdered the hdmi port pads. It's awesome to see you bring dead devices back to life.
I have been using copper tape and a scalpel to do replace traces and pads like this. You've convinced me to get the precut ones to make life easier.
That was so tiny and he made it look like it is just a normal HDMI connector replacement…. Good job!
I love watching your videos every morning with a cup of coffee. You are skilled troubleshooter and a fantastic orator. You are an artist and your canvas is broken electronics.
I appreciate the good words.

You make it look so easy. This work is best left to Northridge Fix.
Can't wait for your store to have the strips.... I really need them , thanks for the great video.
very impressive, most people would trash that board
doing a repair is one thing, but repairing someone else's attempted repair is another level
Watching this guy doing Amazing work and always finds a solution is great. keep the vis coming!
Great Job as usual, and what I like most is the obvious joy he feels when it works, each and every repair.... This is someone who adores his job... Keep it up super boss... w enta men Troblous. :-)
Impressive work. The microscope makes these broken pads look easy to work on, but in reality they are truly tiny. I envy your micro soldering skills 👍
Lot of love from kerala.. 🤗I learned more information from u.
I always love that smile at the end of every fix🤍
That repair requires lots of precision. Great job sir
I loooove when non technician people try to repair something like that. In lot of cases, regular repair like change usb or hdmi port becomes to a disaster :)
What a job. Unbelievable skill
Patience plus working habilities, and the world is yours. As always, great job
2 big bosses in 1 shop. Great repair! With this many missing pads I was expecting a sad ending. Nice work, as usual 👏👌👍✔
Awesome repair. Especially with traces so small awesome pad replacements.
Glad to see Big Boss in action in this video!
Thanks for sharing it’s truly a blessing the joy and passion you share of the work you do
I just did my first series x the other day after doing hundreds of other consoles (thanks to you lol). This is an absolute nightmare. Great work as always, my guy!
I think that it was the most difficult job you have, the 3 limits pad makes sense... great video
Thank you for teaching us every time you make a video
man I have my uncle living with me but i wish i have your uncle making the soldering job so easy god bless him
Amazing repair.
Very good work you did sir.
I learnt so much.
Thanks.

Another awesome microscopic repair
you my friend are amazing at your job!! you always amaze me with these videos!!!
Apply solder mask to those pads(new one ) also and then scratch off the mask after applying uv light .
You keep getting better and better 👍👍
Excellent job! Yesterday repaired a ps4 pro with 7 missing pads, 2 ground🤣👍🏼
Master and Big Boss hard at work! 💪 Outstanding job Alex!
I just tore down my series X and discovered broken traces from the HDMI. Watching this gives me the confidence to want to keep trying to fix it
How skillfull yoi are in fixing this item. Great video.
This x box has broken connections and you make them fixed.Good job.
10 pads... I admire your patience!
Flux is some next level wizardry

Middle of the night but still watching your video
Love to see big boss doing a video.
Always rewarding when the screen lights up….congrats
Love the replace Pads. I Need these!!!
Such patience when replacing those pads!
Great video i did think about why you didnt use these replacement pads in a older video since you showed us them
awesome skill, steady hand
Agreed, he is a very fine artist/engineer
Well... For you it was very time consuming job but for us the viewers it was very enjoyable content
After the pin connection test, would applying solder mast across the pins be beneficial?
Solder mask will have absolutely no effect on the pins.
Pro tip. If you are diy changing an hdmi port. Get it hot and slowly give the port little wiggles from the middle. Do not tug or pull. You gotta loosen that solder from the hdmi pins connecting to the board pins. If you pull it at an angle those pins will pull out with it. Beautiful work Alex...magic
Хорошая работа! Инструмент отличный, микроскопу даже позавидовал!

Great job again...needs much patience and good eyes🤓

Masha Allah...you are greate man you are amazing person gives us your technic lessons .👍👍👍👍👍
Amazing job Alex. Greetings to BigBoss
Series X is still under warranty 🤦🏻♂️. Man I love your camera.
Another awesome repair. Also think on the amount of garbage we're not making because we're repairing. Even when there are 10 missing pads 🤣
