I’m a 14 year old goalkeeper who suffered a meniscus tear in my right knee. Currently I’m about 4 months post operation and starting to get back into normal activities such as passing an dribbling still no jumping and diving until February sadly!! To anyone that’s reading that’s hurt wish you a speedy recovery!!!
I had my operation almost 2 years ago now and because of COVID my physio got stopped and I didn’t do anything about it so now when I play football I’m worried about kicking the ball too hard because I feel like my knees aren’t strong enougj
How ironic. I currently am suffering with a medial meniscus tear, etc. I went from having a ball at my feet as much as possible, to laying down, resting. I'm going through physical therapy. Can't wait to get back! Thanks for the encouragement. Love the video, great as always!
Holy shit I used to watch you take amazing freekicks and shots with Buduiza back in the day. Was my main source of inspiration to practice my shooting for hours straight alone. Didn't realize you got injured until I subbed Unisport. Mad respect, you've come a long way!
I've struggled with a knee injury myself for 8 months, I'm currently watching this on the car to my first game back. This is exactly how I felt, I had to do a lot of gym work/ balance work etc. I got surgery and this has been a very helpful video.
How exactly did you get through rehab pre and post-surgery? I snapped my ACL 5 months ago and I have surgery in a month provided that I'm able to straighten my leg again.
So glad to see you back Joltter! It's been a long road for you, I remember seeing the snaps when it first happened. Anyone reading this, take his advice. Seriously. Do.
I just had Acl reconstruction surgery 6 days ago...! I’m really optimistic and I just want to start my rehab.! It took 5 years for me to finally get the surgery done but now that it is done, I feel relieved rather than depressed. I just hope everything from here on goes well and I never have to go through this again.!
This actually helped!!! I play soccer and I recently broke both bones in my leg but near my ankle, and now I'm in a cast and crutches. But everyone tells me not to rush getting back into soccer, but I'm very impatient sometimes! And I want to come back better than ever, because once I get my cast off I get a boot then after that's off I can't run or play soccer until like January! SO this really helped me and I already have a ton of motivation to heal stronger!
Having been out for a year and a half, which eventually ended my chance at playing professionally, the hardest part for me was certainly wondering if I would even want to play again. At first I couldn't wait to get back, but after all the setbacks it took its toll on me mentally. After finally getting back on the pitch, and being able to not worry about whether my body would hold up, was one of the most freeing feelings I've ever had. I hope your recovery is going well and, like with myself, you being able to get back on the pitch makes you enjoy football even more. Thanks for all the videos as well, you guys rock!
Today, at trainning, i ve had an ankle injury. I was so scared, especially when i ve seen my ankle so swollen (and i ve heard a crack when i ve got injuried), i ve cried like... 3 hours, scared of not being able to play again, or loseing my skills, but after seeing your video, i m way much better, and your words, idk why, but made me cry. The most true explanation it s that i m going through the thing that you ve said, and you ve said some true words too. Thanks!❤⚽️ btw, it s the first day and i m already VERY bored, i can t even move😢
I wish I found this video back in August. I broke my tibia in half during a summer soccer training with my high school team. I got surgery at the end of August. While recovering I was eager to start training and was constantly stressing about becoming out of shape. I became depressed for a while because it was my senior year season and I didn’t want to miss out. I ended up playing my first game in the second week of october. My team became regional champs and lost in sectionals and even got 2 assists in 3 games and i’m only at 80% right now. I hope nobody has to experience a sucky situation like that. But if you do, hopefully it will help motivate you when you recover to keep working hard and achieving your dreams! I’ve used this experience to constantly be on that grind ever since and prepare for my final academy season before college in the spring!
I had a knee injury very similar to yours, but I just barely escaped surgery. I even started playing recently, but I've been getting annoyed with myself for not being able to perform on the same level as before. This video really helped me calm down and re-acess the situation. Hope you get well soon Jolter!!
I was at a soccer practice and when I kicked the ball I felt something in my quadriceps. I didn’t say anything because I didn’t want to be that player who always complaint about how they are hurting somewhere so I hardly finished my practice even if I felt the pain growing. I didn’t play for two day but I played again with my other team. I had warned my coach I got lightly injured but that I should be fine now. I started warning up and took a shot: I held my tigh from the pain but told my team I was fine. I played 5minutes and took another shot and collapse on the groung from the pain. We hardly beat the weakest team on the ligue. I could hardly walk after that day. I didn’t play for a week and didn’t feel any pain at all at this point until we started warming up. In the game I took a shot and once again held my tigh from the pain. I stopped playing and we lost 4-1. It was the first defeat of the season against a preatty weak team. I played two days later with the same team against one of the best team in the ligue. I had told my coach to make me play defence so I would not have to kick the ball and maybe I would be fine. The first goal got in because I wasnlt able to kick the ball away but I kept playing through the pain. Finaly we won with the help of two new players. I didn’t play for over two weeks and didn’t feel any pain but my leg had gotten weak. I did the chair for 3min in PE and I was so sore I thought I got injured another time. After I had a practice with the team I was playing with when I got injured and told them about what happened and that I was comming back from it. I played and even took shots without any problem. I practice two days later with the other team, took a shot and once again held my leg from the pain so I took it easy for the rest of the practice. I finaly went to see an osteopathe and he told me I would be able to play two days later wich is today. Sadly he was wrong. More over I am scared to pass the ball: it’s impossible trying to do something when for the last month and half, when you do that mouvement, you feel as if you were stabbed in the leg. My injury is starting to hurt me mentally and physically. Also I don’t know when I will be okay but I took a an appointment with a physio but it’s hard to cure an injury you don’t really feel.
The problem is you are not giving your quads enough time to heal.. mine took about a month and I still feel it from time to time... work on injury prevention exercises and ice it
I have had a partial ACL injury and returned few months before only. Thank you Jolter for making such a inspirational video and all the steps are correct and the first one is the most important #Rest.
Finally a video that focuses on the really important things when rehabbing like staying positive and focused. I've found it can be difficult to deal with people who want to step in and force you into something you aren't ready for, don't trust you to handle your own process of recovery (especially if it is long term - it really begins to effect your life) or offer unsolicited advice rather than sit down and help you mentally get through your injury and listen to your doubts + concerns.
Recently I broke my fibula unluckily while learning a cork, I was so goddam close lmao. Mad respect for you athletes who pull through this shit, stay strong
For someone who's injured Don't feel overwhelmed by your emotions bro God is with you You are with yourself You will bounce back stronger if you have that never giving up attitude Be patient Recover to your fullest Be mentally stable And don't do the same mistake you did once again Come on champ you're more than this!!!!
Thank you for this video. I tore my Achilles in October. I have become a regular follower of Unisport (and now Jollter) and I cannot agree with the points made here enough. I have regularly exceeded the expectations of my physio but as it's an NHS physio, I put this down to the type of person they normally deal with than anything special I am doing. I take nothing for granted and, in some perverse way, I'm actually enjoying hitting rehab and ability milestones. I'm fully focused on recovery and doing everything I can to minimise this happening again. 🙂
Love this video guys, Really really helpful. Currently struggling with sports hernia which means I can’t do any cardio!! Being stuck in my bedroom most evenings feeling low is so painful. This video has really picked me up Thank you ❤️⚽️
I just got an injury today, I was crying so much, I have just started on a new team. And I really hope that it isn’t something serious, because I’m the worst at soccer in my very good team. I don’t have time to rest !
To be the best in your team.. on yo free time u must juggle the ball allot and pratice skills and soccer movement. And always to imagine your moves before u apply them. Always use logic. And practice shooting, I'm telling u in a matter of. A year u will be the best. And always find a player you watch who will inspire u to play like him or her.
Omg bro I feel you, injured 5 weeks ago meniscus tear, I healed to the point where I could run and dribble then I got tackled by a big chubby guy on the pitch and went straight to hospital 2 days ago, currently at home resting, ima be out for a but ima make this right, I swear ima be the best when I’m back
This video is such a motivation and inspiration. It is true patience is the hardest part, I Caught up a dislocated patella back in February about 7 months ago and I literally was on bed for the first whole month even the smallest of the movement hurts a lot, The patella is better now but my VMO right thigh muscles are literally weak as dead. I am working hard in the gym and giving myself a target of getting back on the football pitch by December or January. Good luck to everyone on a similar recovery.
Man,I remember when I dislocated my right knee. I thank God I came back and it wasn't deadly. It took me one month and 2 weeks to heal after a medical practitioner straighted it. I thank God. I pray no one feels that and I pray I don't want to get injured again like that😤
Amazing Joltter! Thanks for sharing your experience! I was injured so many fuckin times the last 3 years.. Ain't wishing this anybody. Hope you stay injury-free bro! :)
This video is exactly what I needed. I’ve also had a knee injury for months now and was losing hope. Patience and persistence, I’m sure I’ll be back just like jolter. Thank you for the encouragement.
Thanks man I was out with a dislocated knee for a hole year it really helped man but when I came back to my first match I injured my ankle but I watch alot thanks man you legend
I loved this video man! Make more of this kind off videos in the futureee pleeeassee! This gives me the push to do that little extra every warm up. Thank u soo much
15 years old, 6’5, now overweight, gained a bad posture, meniscus tear 5 weeks ago, I healed just by resting. Miraculous, was about to come back but then 2 days ago at school I came into contact with a heavy guy, he ran straight into my leg and I was on the floor finished, I then got rushed out of school to hospital and I was given crutches and the strapped cast thing that goes on your knee. Was depressed but now I’m only more motivated even though this is my first season at a new team and I don’t have any experience with injuries nor do I have the money for physio therapy so pray for me please, the pain is unbearable but I gotta get back and show the ones who were laughing that I am great, I wish a speedy recovery to you all who are injured too. The game is calling ❤️❤️
I suffered a cartilage injury on my knee in September 2017 playing football and had to have surgery. Today I was allowed to have a little 2 minute run for the first time! Now, I'm more motivated than ever to get back on the pitch!
@@allenallen4658 Hey man, sorry to hear you're suffering fom it as well. I twisted me knee when trying to run the other way. I broke of 1.5 cm (0.6 Inches) of cartilage straight to the bone. I was lucky it was broken of clearly though, so there wasn't any damage to the surrounding cartilage. The first 3-4 weeks will hurt bad, after that, it gets better slowly. The doctors gave me the choice. Have surgery and have a small chance of playing again, or no surgery and never do any sports that involves stress to the knee ever again (even running). I first tried living with it and just doing other stuff like cycling & weightlifting (after a month or 2 of rest of course). But later I decided to do the surgery anyway, because I missed everything too much. I had the surgery last October, so over a year after the injury. And that was the best decision I coud have taken. Because I waited so long, my cartilage had grown back halfway by itself, which is a little "miracle", as it usually doesn't grow back. So all they did was clean up my knee, take out the broken off piece and cut off a little damaged piece of meniscus. Now, three months later, I'm pain free ,running again and probably will be playing football again, all thanks to waiting and cycling. So long story, what's my best advice? 1. If you are patient, wait long enough to do surgery. It might grow back, which will be benefitial in the long run and recovery time will be far less after the surgery. If not, do the surgery now, but you'll need more time to recover and have lesser chance of playong again. You might be back a little faster, but your knee will be weaker. 2. In order to increase the chance of it growing back, do some cycling. About 20 minutes every other day. Apparently, that was the key to growing back cartilage. 10-20 minutes triggeres cartilage growth, my physio told me. Patience is key I think and don't rush things. You'll need your knees your whole life! If you have any other questions, i'll gladly help you! If not, I wish you the best of luck and hopefully you'll be back on the pitch soon!
I damaged my cartilage in my knee in May 2016. I didn’t have surgery but now 3 and a half years later i have decided i will, and make a comeback. I played at a decent level, but now just want to get back to playing regular good level 5 a side. Im only 28, and live relatively healthy, no booze or cigarettes. Cant wait to be back on the pitch in summer 2020! 🙏🏽
This video is great. Recently I tore a ligament in my knee called the MCL. I was dying to get back out on the pitch. After 4 months I am back out there I am scared to death of getting hurt again so I am not as physical and I back off from a lot of balls. It's something I'm working on. This video was great thanks !
Yes bro thanks for the video , texting it from 2020 ,bro this the worst year i have ever faced . Firstly i was injured in my ankle and it gone fine but suddenly after 8 days again i got the injury at the same spot & thats the worst thing ,lets see what happens next , but after watching this video i feel totally motivated ,and goona be back to the football feild stronger than ever.
6:27 Now i have that knee injured but not to bad. What i want to say here is THANK YOU to Unisport for upload this video. Because i'm just a kid player on football
Hai, I got the same injury last year, I tore my left ACL and meniscus, that was my rock bottom and i know it could be very bad if you really love doing sport (football, basket ball etc.). I went to the orthopedic doctor to check my left knee, doing MRI analysis and a month after that injury I did my ACL reconstruction. That was easy part because the surgery process was really quick (more or less 2 hours). The hardest part was after surgery process, you have to push your self to work out, strengthen your knee (quadriceps and hamstring muscle), 4 months after surgery I started to try slow jog, and now It's been 14 months after surgery, I already back to the football and also mountain trekking. That's all my ACL story,, hope you get back on the pitch soon ,, cheers
Thank you so much for the positivity and motivation joltter. This really improved my attitude towards recovery time and patience. Can’t wait to get back on the pitch with the tekkz 🤙
Just tore my meniscus. I’m out of soccer for 4-6 months and missing my winter season. I’m gonna work as hard as I can to come back stronger and better.
I’m very depressed because I have a rare condition in my feet and basically at one point I will have to get my feet amputated so I just enjoy football while I can ❤️❤️
I’m a goalkeeper I broke my wrist and this video helped me quite a lot as I followed some off the tips with rehab I’m back fully in January after 5 months
I am watching this with a very mild injury which is a sprained ankle but it is still enough to make me miss 2 matches and a few training sessions so this video helped a lot!!!
This channel has everything 😭🤝🏾, haven't been able to play for 5 months and I'm still waiting 🥲 cause of my mcl injury, can't wait to go back to playing
just finished my acl surgery today and after watching this this video, i feel so damn motivated to start my rehab. Overall, just can’t wait to return to the field 💯🤟🏾

Hello today i saw the video for the first time and am in injury with one month at the bed and the next week my doctor says i can go back to the field for run and make some jumps . I injured with second grade of sprain at my ankle and i am in depression for the injury because before my injury i was in form and i score in five in a raw matches and now i am in the bed but this video make my day much better because i dont know how to feel for my first injury . this video make my think about it and now i think i will be much more stronger for the future.

I tore my acl and meniscus 2 weeks ago and up until now I honestly have felt awful just sad and depressed after watching this I’m full of hope and can’t wait to begin my comeback.
@@pranjalmann8712 it’s difficult at first and may feel hopeless but things get better! My advice to anyone is to still have fun and try to enjoy things as much as you can although you’re going through a rough time. You’re in it! might as well have fun!

A heavy gun ?

I suffered a cartilage injury on my knee in September 2017 playing football and had to have surgery. Today I was allowed to have a little 2 minute run for the first time! Now, I'm more motivated than ever to get back on the pitch!
Ben Claes hello how was your cartilage damage, what was the extent, I have the same thing now, I would like to talk to you to get some advice please

How are you doing now
This video is great. Recently I tore a ligament in my knee called the MCL. I was dying to get back out on the pitch. After 4 months I am back out there I am scared to death of getting hurt again so I am not as physical and I back off from a lot of balls. It's something I'm working on. This video was great thanks !

What was the best advice in this video? *Comment and let us know!*
Unisport to be patient
all of it, cheers joltter
Unisport I got injured after watching this. 😂
That's all my ACL story,, hope you get back on the pitch soon ,,
cheers
To be patient
So happy Jolter is healthy and back for videos
