WHAT COLOR IS THE + WIRE GOING TO FAN? AND WHAT COLOR IS GROUND WIRE? THE GROUND WIRE can stay connected to the car, right? it is just the + wire that we are cutting into to give the fan power to turn it ON... in my case with a switch as it does not seem to come on and the intake manifold gasket? or head Gasket is leaking so it CANNOT be allowed to get hot... on a fine fine fine 2003 GM Buick 3.1L with.... 62,000 miles... FULL FACTORY WARRANTY TO 60,000 miles?!!!!! good going GM... made it out of FULL FACTORY WARRANTY TO 60,000 miles.... ???

You can't really hook it up wrong. If you do it back words fan will just spin in reverse. The fan should be blowing in towards engine if it's blowing out after you hooked it up just flip the power and ground on fan. I cut the fan wire and striped wire then touches it to battery +& - to see which way to make fan blow towards engine. Lots of cars use different color wires
