    I wasn't going to sell this, but when Brian asked, I reconsidered. I used it mainly for local grocery runs, etc. and as an airport car when I left town. It does not like 110 degree summer days AND a/c on at the same time, even with a custom made 2 row copper and brass radiator. And it does not like hills. There's lots more footage to come on this channel about all of us AZ Montero nerds and our other quirky vehicles - SUBSCRIBE!

    Hello from Japan. This car is really nice, I got rid of it once but I couldn't forget it so I bought a 5MT turbo. If you ever come to Japan, please drive my car!

    Something fun I notice about wheeling on trails and about cruising on the freeway is the wheel track width. When one wheel is in the rut the other wheel is just barely past lane center.

    So cool. Keep up the great content! My first Mitsubishi was a 1986 Dodge Raider 5-speed I bought in 1988 while attending community college. Since then, I owned a Mitsubishi Expo LRV, which I also loved and used to buy furniture from thrift stores and fill the first condo I bought. I now have a stable of USDM misfits: 2009 Mitsubishi Galant ES 2.4 (4G69), 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer SportBack LS (4G69) and a Suzuki Kizashi 2.4 6MT (J24) and a 2004 Nissan Quest SL 3.5 (VQ35DE). All of these were sales failures whose nameplates disappeared from the US. I love every single one of them!!!

    Dear friend I live in Cyprus a small Mediterranean island and we have a lot of these which they were all imported from Japan. Believe me it will make it as long as you have it serviced properly. I am an owner of a Gen 3 pajero 2006 3.2 diesel with more than 200 thousand miles on it an it runs like new. My friend has the same car as yours and it has more than 300 thousand kilometers on it and it still runs fine.

    This Pajero Mini looks really proper!! Really happy that Americans getting to experience these JDM goodness, finally 😊😊. Believe me, even though they are tiny, but in small countries like ours, they are pretty mighty just the same. Speed, well, it get their eventually, but the practicality is the main thing in my opinion.

    You should have 100k subscribers JUST FOR ENTHUSIASM! Love it. I had a chance to buy one of these not too long ago but seeing that I already have an 02 Montero, 08 Sequoia, 88 Samurai soft top, 87 samurai in perfect condition Hardtop, 2016 renegade, and an 88 trooper, I felt if I came home with one more 4 x 4 my wife would leave me..

    Heck, even my '06 Gen 3 takes a little more revs and throttle than I'm used to after decades of driving American V8s. Stepping up from my Gen 2.5 w/3.5 and 4-speed to the Gen 3 w/ 3.8 and 5-speed was a huge on-road upgrade. I can't fathom what this little thing feels like! LOL.

    One thing missed on the trunk tour is that UNDER the trunk is yet another lift panel where the jack and lug wrench is stored.

    • @thevictor390
      @thevictor390 3 місяці тому +1

      Right or left drive actually doesn't matter there technically is no rule at all about where the driver sits! The rule you run into is about importing cars in general. You can only import a car once it is 25 years old or older. So right-hand drive cars are very rare. But they are getting more popular, especially since now we can have 90s cars to import which are reliable enough to last the 25 years.

      Interesting! I'm from the Philippines, and I always thought our road system was modeled after the U.S., like in other countries they once colonized (for lack of a better word). In contrast, countries that were British colonies seem to have taken after the British/EU road system.
      Good to know it’s not too strict in the U.S.! In the Philippines, right-hand-drive vehicles-mostly JDMs-have to be cleverly converted to left-hand drive to meet road safety standards.

    • @zedex1226
      @zedex1226 2 місяці тому +1

      Yes.
      Our mail carriers trucks are rhd. Kei vans are popular with neighborhood ice cream vendors because pull over puts the driver near the sidewalk. I love stepping out on the road side instead into traffic.

    Hello! I bought my first car recently, a 1999 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport! I'm really excited, it doesn't start now, of course, but I plan on changing that. Anyway, do you know much about them? And what's your opinion of them if you do?

    • @BrokeWrench
      @BrokeWrench 3 місяці тому

      Get a new timing belt and tensioner for it. Thoae failing are the most common major problems. Most other issues are only annoying or easy to fix

    • @akoshorvath-risko5838
      @akoshorvath-risko5838 3 місяці тому

      @BrokeWrench The owner told me that the timing belt has just been changed, by a little sketchy mechanic though. The reason it doesn't start is because the crankshaft pulley began to inch closer to the engine, and the smaller belts jumped off. But I will definitely take a look at the timing belt. Thanks for the answer!

      Jimny

    • @zedex1226
      @zedex1226 2 місяці тому +1

      Extremely similar to turbo jimny.
      Main difference is the jimny is solid axle, Pajero mini is ifs.
      I'm not -as- familiar with the jimny so I don't know if this is different but they made a ton of options and variations for the Pajero mini from year to year. From non turbo automatic to "Big" 1100 cc motors. Google the Pajero mini Pug 😂
