We were all accompanying you in this epic trip with each video delivery. Man, this was an awesome series and can’t wait for your next steps! We’ll be there 🎉
Is there any way you could show how the skid plate attaches to the body? Mine is missing and i want to make a new one, but I'm not 100% on how it attaches.. Loved the videos!
Glad you made it home. Hey it's meant for going to the trail overland off road I am shock you went there without lift. I got 1.5 inch lift and it's so good just have to watch out on deep water crossing
It's very possible that bad non firing cylinder from that bad ignition coil could have caused a higher crankcase pressure and causing oil blowby. Either or like you said....just keep an eye on it. Is the BOV recirculating back into the intake? Loved the series dude...it was fun to watch.
Hey man. I have a question about my 2004 montero limited. I’m having a problem where when the vehicle sits overnight It goes into a “limp” mode. When I go out to turn it on for the first time that day it throws a code and the stability lights are on. When this happens I have no acceleration and the vehicle idles really rough. The only way I can get it back to running normal is if I let it warm all the way up and cycle the battery. Everything points towards the Idle Air Control Valve but I can’t find it. If it has one could you point me in the right direction? If it doesn’t, I would love to hear your thoughts on what the issue could be. FYI, love the vids, they’re really helpful!
Maybe you had too much oil in your engine. It happened to me once. The excessive oil fills the catch can until the level was back to normal. That’s why it runs ok now.
Having the catch can might have also free'd up the PCV valve and let some oil get blown out of it. There are some nice high flow ones you can add too...On that coil , I wonder if there is an MSD coil we can swap in. We used the MSD coils on the daihatsu rocky and got alot of better driveability. Just a little better spark makes a huge difference in the turbo cars. Could even do a custom made MSD wire set for the mini Check out this video where they gained HP by cooling the IC ua-cam.com/video/SDR992myivk/v-deo.html Makes me wonder if you drop the under hood temps just a little , might run better The Mitsubishi Delica actually has a fan under the intercooler. For turbo noise , you can easily do a 3 inch diameter turbo inlet (ditch the rubber accordion) , just need the couplers and ports for the bypass and valve cover breather. For some easy power look at ditching the the clutch fan for electric , and getting the flywheel lightened. Looking forward to seeing where you take the PJ mini! Thanks !
Very cool series. Zion is my favorite park. Beautiful!

Hmm, maybe it was like a carbon stuck oil control ring. Weird it went away.
