Hey Scubes, just picked up this Cremo product in a kit that's being sold at Costco right now for $9. It was a no brainer considering you got the razor with 3 cartridges, shave cream and balm. Can't wait to compare it to my Harry's razor.
Great comparison. Been using Harry's but just bought Cooling Cremo today. Looking forward to trying it out. I think your video was very honest and informative.
If you have sensitive skin you need to switch to a double edge razor. One blade equals less irritation. I have sensitive skin and now shave with a Henson AL13 mild. Absolutely love it. My face love it too.
I tried a double-edge, "safety razor" and almost blood to death! I think you need to have very tough, thick skin not to cut yourself multiple times using this type of shaver.
@@blaiseducdaumont1280 You cannot shave using a double edge razor the same way you use a cartridge razor. With a cartridge razor you press the razor against your face with more pressure. With a double edge razor you use a light touch; let the razor do the work. Also, a double edge razor does not pivot like a cartridge razor so you have to change your technique. Don’t give up. Go nice and slowly. In time you will love shaving with a double edge razor!
Don’t know about Harry’s but I’ve tried the original Cremo formula recently. I always get irritation and cuts (especially around my goatee area) and I barely had any reaction after my first try with Cremo. I definitely recommend Cremo if you have sensitive skin
I've been looking to switch from a foaming style cream to one of these two and I think you've sold me on the cremo. I already use their body wash, shampoo, and beard wash on my mustache so it's nice to see they make a great shaving cream as well
Omg I’m glad I’m just now watching this because I’m at Target Right now and trying to decide what to picked 😂 but thank you for showing what’s more smoother💯💯💯
I like how the consistency of the Cremo shave cream looks from the get-go. I also have sensitive skin, and I think Cremo with a DE razor would be more effective for me. I've blamed my poor shaves on my Astra blades for some time, but I'm starting to wonder if I just need a better cream in the end.
Honestly, I switched from wilkinson sword blades to Astra Green blades in my DE razor and based on the testing. To me it seems the Astra greens are much better quality and the control of the quality from box to box us much better. Wilkinson Sword on the other hand right out of the box feels sharp, but it never seems to be consistent and doesn't keep that edge for long. The control of quality from box to box is never consistent either. I'd recommend you using a lathering shaving cream with some great cushion like Captains Choice. You can grab sample packs for such a good price.
For the past year I have been using Cremo, but today I used the Harry's shave gel for the very first time. Both are excellent products and I did not have any problems with the Harry's. Since I just bought a 6.7 ounce can I will continue to use it and ounce my can is all used up I will make a decision whether to continue using it or go back to the Cremo. At this time, though, I would be satisfied using either one since both are excellent.
Thanks a lot for the feedback! I’ve been switching between Cremo and fancy shave soap lately. Also, try a proper shave brush even with cremo or Harry’s it improves the performance.
Great Video 👍🏿 👍🏻👍🏽 I believe Cremo should be better for other men who has sensitive skin. I like how Harry’s gives a more flavor scent, but I may not agree for how it is with skin reaction. this is my own thoughts on the shaving creams. Thank you and nice vid!
Cremo is a water activated shaving cream. According to the directions you need to combine it with water. I did not see you add or combine water. I wonder if you are getting the best results for that product.
Jonathan Kuelske It’s hard to find a better shave cream for the price and convenience. Thanks for watching my video 👍. If you’ve tried any shave cream that’s as good or better share it with the group!
Originol is my favorite cremo. The vanila bourbon scented 1 does not work scent wise with aftershaves. Normally that scent rinses off and it makes no difference on my face.
Great head to head comparison. I've spent several years and a considerable amount of money doing these exact comparisons. I used soaps, lathers, creams and gels and I would pit two similar products against each other for a two week period, then pick a winner. Then put the winner against another brand and do it again. After possibly 30-40 different tests I found the Original Gillette Fusion ProGlide Gel (in the tube) to be the best. Mind you, I shave my face and bald head as well, so it's a good test of different hair thicknesses. Unfortunately, Gillette, in their infinite wisdom decided to discontinue this product. In my opinion, it was the best shave gel/cream they ever produced. Coming in at #2 was CREMO Shave Cream, so now that's my favorite. I've used all their different "flavors" and the Classic Original is great, but the Refreshing Mint and Sandlewood have their place as well (if you desire a scented cream). Actually, all the CREMO products are pretty good, IMHO.
This is very interesting about what you said in your comment. First of all thank you. I too am bald ( if you can see from my profile pic, even though it’s animated lol ) I have actually been using Harry’s with the new Supply trimmer. I was actually using Harry’s Shave foam, this worked pretty good and then I tried Harry’s shave cream and this worked really good. I don’t like the fact that I can’t use it with my shave brush but I can say that I had the least amount of razor bombs using Harry’s shave cream. Now with watching this video and reading your comment I’m going to try Cremo. I really never tried Cremo because I wasn’t too fond of their beer products. I’m kind of excited to see if this is going to be a step up from using Harry’s
@@Olutunu Thanks for your comment. I've tried Harry's cream but still always seem to go back to CREMO. I agree about their beard products as I found them inferior as well. Mind you, every man's face and head skin is different but I still think that for the money, CREMO is the one. I also like the fact that it's nearly transparent so you can see what you're actually shaving instead of wiping away foam to see the beard line.
I also use Cremo, but I like the sandalwood smell. I compare all my other shave creams to Cremo! I have yet to find a better product. I must say, though, the more blades on the face the more irritation I get. I prefer the double edge safety razors. I cringed when you used the 5 blades.

Based on the Cremo ads, the coconut mango is designed for women. Not that that matters, I am curious about this shave cream too. Here's the description from Amazon "Cremo Coconut Mango Moisturizing Shave Cream, Astonishingly Superior Ultra-Slick Shaving Cream for Women Fights Nicks, Cuts and Razor Burn, 6 Oz". It's probably the scent that is targeted for women.
I think one of the big reasons you're getting more irritation on your neck is because you're cutting against the direction of your hair growth. Unless your hair follicles on your neck grow towards your chin that is.
I'd recommend using a brush-activated shaving cream or soap and a shaving brush. They're generally going to be smoother and slicker shaving than most creams that come in a tube or a can. Also I'd HEAVILY recommend giving a double edge razor a try. It's a night and day difference against a cartridge razor.
@@blaiseducdaumont1280 Quite the opposite actually. If you're using proper technique, a single blade is always going to be easier on the skin than multiple and I would go as far to say most people don't even have sensitive skin, the irritation is due to poor technique and too many blades.
