    GreenStalk now recommends to keep watering until water comes out of the tube in the bottom which is more water than the marks in the top.

    Great video! I just bought a greenstalk planter just to grow lettuce in. We moved from the city and now live on over 17 acres and I still love to grow things in containers! I currently have 18 raised beds and my neighbors grow in the ground but my garden is healthier and weed free. I still believe containers and raised beds are always better for plants ❤ Keep making great videos like this one and you’ll be at 100k subscribers soon enough. God bless 😉

I especially appreciate your comments about soil. I just got a GreenStalk and will be setting it up this weekend, so I’ve been watching a fair amount of videos and yours was the most helpful!

    Wow, this video is packed with great information on the Green Stalk Vertical Planters and had the most helpful tips and planting concerns for their use. Outstanding, and all based on the actual experience using them. I am starting with the Leaf (shorter pocket) version but see where the Original (deep pocket) may be in my future too. The selling point to me is her visual proof of less insect damage and the fact she is not using insecticides to achieve those results. The weather is almost ready to start and I have mine set up, watered and just waiting for last frost date in my area a month away….. Great informative video that sold me on trying one 2023.

    Thanks for the review. I live a couple hours north of NYC. Garden Stalk reviewers I have come across have been overwhelmingly warm climate growers. You are the first cold climate grower using this system I have come across. What are your thoughts on the green stalks durability and ability to withstand our cold climate?

    • @MarisGardenandKitchen
      @MarisGardenandKitchen  Рік тому +1

      Hi Nikki, thank you for the comment. I leave mine outside during the winter and so far so good! They are doing well this winter too. Last year I was able to overwinter some lettuce and kale on them with little protection but this year with the cold snap we had during Christmas I didn’t have the same luck :/ But they have a 5 year warranty too if you notice and discoloring or weathering etc.

    • @Nikki-mx5my

      Great to know! My main concern was how they might hold up to our weather conditions- particularly the plastic.

      I started with the two originals first, then I got the leaf planter. I love my leaf planter, but If you are only going to have one, the original is good because allows you to plant more things in the future. The planters last for a while if you take good care of them.
