Fish Eggs and Riverweed for breakfast..ONLY in LAOS🇱🇦

I've got hungry eyes at the market and end up trying ຫມົກໄຄ (Mok Khay) and ຫມົກໄຂ່ປາ (Mok Khai Paa) for the first time ever along with an all-time favorite Mok.
Originally had thought these clips were a disaster with so many mistakes, but then I couldn't stop smiling watching them back. A reminder that this is a learning experience so we shouldn't be too hard on ourselves as growing is what makes life interesting.

BTW - ໄຄ is riverweed not seaweed, that's dried pork on the rings not grilled pork..but I'm sure you all will fill in the blanks where I've made any errors so thanks for watching and don't forget to like and subscribe. ;) Also, it was 50 cents for each Mok and got more than I could eat myself.

River weed or “Taow.. is just local filamentous algae.. very nutritious and high in omega 3 and protein.. equivalent to some fish 👍

man that market has some of the best grilled ducks i've had. after eating it the first night i got to laos i told my wife i will come back and get another duck to eat before leaving laos and thats exactly what i did

🤣🤣 Facts. Whole rotisserie chicken and that three layer crispy pork was my jam. Switch it up with the duck.. extra salsa with it. Boyyy, stuff so good it ain’t right. First place I’m stopping at in Vientiane. People need to know Lao food!

My wife and I have a foundation we started for the school kids in Phonhong, Laos. My wife didnt attend school, because her family needed her at home. And they were poor. We want to give these kids more of an opportunity to succeed. We will be back in Oct 2024. , to continue our work.
