Ben you legend. Fifty year old F1 fan here. This video is absolute adult content for me. In 80 or 81 I begged my parents for a tyrell P34 6 wheeler model. They didn't want to get it because of my age but I finished it. Even down to cutting the bronze mesh for the air intakes. Thanks mate. Just the depth of those rims and the way teams were allowed to find the limit. Not now. It's sad. Design within tolerances which ensures no advancement! And you are THE best stig by far! Having to wait until 7:30 every Tuesday was special
As a race enthusiast from Quebec it gave me chills to know that you were a fan of Gilles Villeneuve. Not only is he our national hero but I personally believe no driver was or ever will be as spectacular as him. Salut Gilles
It's not a surprise, really. Check out some of his onboard footage in his Ferrari days where he's adjusting the brake bias while still going flat out, especially at Monaco you can see he's working with brake bias lever in his Ferrari, the man was built different.
Then you never knew Michael. He spent time with all the mechanics, knew all of their names and precisely told them as he wants the car and also helped with the development of some of the cars behavior... He was a racer trough and trough...
@@claudioschumi87there was a video I was watching earlier, I think it was Ben's two parter with Wilman maybe. They were talking about meeting Schumacher. They were listening to car audio, and one driver on lap 60 is absolutely worn out. Schumacher then comes on and is just calmly talking about what might be storm clouds forming over the back straight. Like he's just tooling down the motorway.
Ah you missed my favourite - the 1995 412T2. I remember watching it around Monaco on Tv when Berger finished 3rd. Alesi was sliding it around Sainte Devote. Even though those old TVs, the sound of that V12 powering up the hill - WOW! Everyone else had V8 and V10s that year. Ferrari stuck it out with the V12. I'm glad they did.
They were close to actually running it for 96 in the Ferrari F310, Michael was so impressed with Ferrari 412T2 and the V12, they almost decided to use it for 96 but instead chose the engineer the V10 engines instead.
Through the video Filippo warmed to Ben and understood that Ben really likes these cars there was a connection there that developed and that is fun to see. The whole steering wheel bit though was hilarious, Ben clearly wanted to hold it but Filippo was holding it and pointing at things and Ben just wanted to grab it and hold it. Great Vid though, thanks so much for it.
MANY many years ago, they did a Ferrari Clienti day at Willow Springs of all places. I was at The Streets of Willow with my dad doing a POC day so I defected over to drool. There were a few F1 cars lapping, one being the last 12. That thing going around Willow... SO MUCH SCREAMING V12 noise omg. Also, there was a F50 GT1 that did laps. So rad.
Thanks for the F1 TOUR AND HISTORY, and the scenes with Michael Schumacher were appreciated. What a bright candle he was in the F1 scene. I would love to see him rise from his present situation, thoughts and prayers sir.👍🏼👍🏼
To say that I thoroughly enjoyed watching this, would be an understatement. Absolutely wonderful to see so much history and engineering through the ages of F1.
Ben, I'm a Ferrari nut and the only thing I can say is huge thanks for doing this for all of us. I wish Niki's 312T had been there, as that car is where it all started for me. Thanks again, Rob.
Fantastic video. Beautiful to see the family all together, the twin keel, zero keels, then to the coke bottle rear ends, that had such tight packaging and then coanda exhausts. Beautiful.
Excellent content Ben, you're really proving to be a brilliant presenter! Questionable choice for sponsor though, and I hope you'll look more into their shady business.
Thank you, Ben, for this awesome video. Your content just gets better and better! I can definitely see the fan boy in you whenever you talk about Ferrari, I think it's in all of us, tifosi, as soon as we see a red car we hope it's a Ferrari so we can marvel the beauty and remember our fond memories of this special brand. This has to be one of my favourite videos on your channel so far! Kerp up the awesome work. 😊
David Lee has a Shumacher car parked amongst his road cars. He can participate in the Corsa Cliente program if he wants but he keeps it at home. He misses out on maintenance and transport to the event. The XX clients can take the car home also, but it's more sensible to let the factory bear the burden. You couldn't even start the F1 without a laptop and special software, and a portable circulatory heater to preheat the tight tolerance engine.
Ben wish I could go with you the next visit one of these amazing garages you visited in the last months. As a big petrolhead and big biker lover I cant get enought of anything connected with petrol. Hello from Slovenia 🇸🇮
I Have been in that building and its incredible ! Very lucky to have a full tour of the facility earlier this year ..something I will never forget ! Downstairs is even better ! Expect Le Mans winning hyper cars …Fxx customer cars trophy’s ..it’s the newest building on the Ferrari campus. The foundry engine shop production line were amazing as well as the separate F1 building …the F1 bays were incredible. A once in a lifetime opportunity…looking forward to part two
You should not be advertising for these phone apps mental health services it has come out that many of the people you are talking to are not actual therapists, they are people with no training or license to practice.
I have mental health issues and want to get better and be a license therapist. You need to read the book and not just the cover. Most therapist that have a license did therapy without a license because I truly believe and trust someone more that has experience over someone who doesn't and only has a license. But hey I'm not going say I'm right or your wrong. Just do the research. I know from experience that it can be hard to find the right therapist especially if you are only limited to what your insurance covers and or what your able to afford.
17:36 The cameraman really missed a golden opportunity to show a visualise the steering wheel or shoot from the top to show which dials on that specific wheel are used in combination
I’ll never forget that famous American GP at Indy, when all the teams except for Ferrari and, someone else, simply entered the pits after the formation lap because of issues with the tires not handling the loads coming off of… was it turn 11. Onto the main straight. Obviously, it must have been the Michelin tires that were failing.
If someone wants to see another impressive line-up of legendary Ferrari F1 cars: in Monaco, go to the museum of the Prince's car collection, located in the harbour. Very cool collection. Charles Leclerc's private cars are displayed there as well.
Ben, an Italian talking here… you could be a great Ferrari testimonial, I can hear your voice changing when you talk about our pride and joy. Cheers
Thank you - Ferrari is special
@@BenCollinsDrives Ben, this one is gold, mate!
You don't sound Italian
We loved being able to see this collection with you, a true honour and something we will never forget.

What a special collection of F1 cars! Ben Collins is a lucky legend.
The curator reminds me of my father in law at a younger age.

I never knew Michael Schumacher did so much work in the car with all the settings being tweaked all the time. What an amazing man .

The passion for the cars in this conversation is great!
The content we needed just before an F1 race 👌🏻

One of those most precious videos on UA-cam of the most precious brand in human history, by the most precious, greatest Stig ever. Thank you Sir Ben!
You are so kind
And ruined by a terrible sellout sponsor

As a fan of this channel, it's great to see Ben as a fellow enthusiast. It really comes across in this interview.
This video was such a treat, you are great at interviews and the cars speak for themselves.
201,000 subscribers - that was quick. And this excellent video is why we're all signed up ! All the best from Prague !
Wow! Great video, Ben. If you do get invited to the starting of a 12, take us with you! 😜
The best insight to this place that I’ve seen a few videos and pictures of before. There could be 5 parts to this. 👏🏽
Fantastic video. Beautiful to see the family all together, the twin keel, zero keels, then to the coke bottle rear ends, that had such tight packaging and then coanda exhausts. Beautiful.
Schumacher used to adjust brake bias from corner to corner as well too
they were talking about him , didn't you get that??
Wow Ben what a privilege to see these cars !
This video is 100% passion for motorsport, and 150% passion for Ferrari.
PS: Filippo, you have one of the best jobs in the world, you lucky man!
Excellent content Ben, you're really proving to be a brilliant presenter! Questionable choice for sponsor though, and I hope you'll look more into their shady business.
Him and many other car youtubers sold out to them recently, it is crazy
What a terrific inside look at wonderful machines. Thank you, Ben!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Absolutely outstanding video, Ben! I thoroughly enjoyed this one. The level of insight was terrific, and Filippo's passion was incredible!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Gilles was my first hero. The only driver I shed a tear when they died. Delight to see #27, even if it was a Tambay car.
And Ferrari just achieved P1 & P3 in the Mexico GP. Watching it after that makes it special. #ForzaFerrari
"Si si, si si exacltly" 😂 I like how that guy speaks very good English but keeps saying SI instead of Yes.. Sweet video ❤

Fantastic Interview and episode Ben .
Gotta admit Ferrari has some real balls. A collection of customers cars that they never really own.
You need a team to run the cars and, Ferrari provide that team

Brilliant, great history linking to your own knowledge made for great viewing. History and passion, what F1 is really about! Thanks Ben👍

These cars are my jam. I was at 1999 Silverstone a corner or two before Micheal Schumacher big crash

Fantastic film, thanks Ben, enjoyed that one. You can really feel the passion here from both of you👌👍
I always like the Prost model, the lines where so nice. It would have been cool if you could have managed a spin around the track in one of them.
As a forever ferrari fan, this is an amazing video.
Forza Ferrari
MS is the absolute GOAT of F1! ... period!
This was awesome guys!
Excellent content boss, looking forward to the XX Collection.
Coming soon!
Fantastic video Ben! 👌
Thanks a ton!
We thoroughly enjoyed that walk and talk through some Ferarri history...
Excellent content... john
Fantastic to have someone educated on UA-cam. 😊
2007 was the best looking cars in F1 history.
You’ve done it again Ben. Great video, thanks 😀
Glad you enjoyed it!
Ben, you lucky b’stard!! :D :D 10/10 best UA-camr/car chap to have done this. Keep up the great work old bean!
Thanks a ton!
I was lucky to be in this building about 3 weeks ago and also walk around Maranello, see V12 being built by hand.
Thanks to all for this, it is a great video and very informative
Glad it was helpful!

Thanks for the visit
Great video Ben. Was that the same 312 that Charles put in the wall at Monaco?
2004 car is my favourite, my second is 2002, then 2000.
Really cool format, loved it.
Awesome, thank you!
Clearly visible here that the aerodynamics of the F1 car has gone completely crazy just like the world today.
Thank you Ben. I very much loved that video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Surprised the Stig didn't know about the anti-roll bar control....
Interesting. I thought that was brake bias
@christopherwachtel8306 me too...

I would work there just to clean and mantain those gorgeous marvels 😍
You and me both!
OH boy would i die a happy man if i ever were to set 1 foot in that space. MY GOD.
Great video, Ben.
Thanks!
Thanks for sharing big boss!
one of my earliest memories is of that 1996 Ferrari on tv
Amazing dream machines!!
They are!
10/10 Mr Collins!
Bellisimo Ben, fricking wow!
@29:45: it was definetly time to retire that chassis/car... 🤨
That was great!

I hope this bro works on the current car , he has a lot of useful knowledge
Si si si si si .... great insight!✌🏻
I love how the guy insists on saying Ci 😂😂 very italian
The mid/late 90's cars are beautiful. Throw out today's rule book and go back to those cars.
"Kimi Räikkönen used it to get to his yacht" LMAO
I've just put a cushion on my lap.
Ben I could see you were a kid in a lollyshop 😀
Thanks Ben. Great content for real (reds) petrolheads.
More to come!
I came to the conclusion while watching this that Ben is basically a mix between Matthew Perry and Russell Ingall.
Ben i can confirm not all owners are storing there by choice a great many are contractually required to do so
love it and all things Ferrari
33:23 "In my day, the drivers were fat and the tires were skinny"
🏁
So Ben, which Ferrari is your favorite to drive?
The red one,obviously!
The Kimi yacht incident was 2006 when he was still with McLaren
FANTASTIC
Thanks
Nigel Mansell had fitting issues when at FERRARI
Large Bloke Mansell was
And then again at McLaren 😂
