So my dog ia now 7 months old, unvaxxed. Is anti-rabies a must or not? When you said your dogs are unvaxxed, this also includes not having the anti-rabies at least? I needed this clarification so I know my dog will be fine without getting it. Thanks in advance.

Thank you so much for this video! I've been trying to find info on HOW those who choose not to 💉 go about introducing their puppies to the outside world safely, and just couldn't find anything. It just helps so much to actually hear from those with experience in actually doing it. Would LOVE more content on this topic in the future please! ❤

    Love this! Thank you!
I'm educating myself & looking for a wholeistic vet in my area to do the titer test. After taking my mother's dog, who was otherwise very healthy, but years behind on vaccines, I thought I was doing the right thing by getting his vaccines updated & keeping them updated. Three years later, he started to go downhill. Within one month of giving him the new chewable flea & tick preventative, he was emaciated (dropped a severe amount of weight in 1 month) & his kidneys failed. There is no way to know if it was the vaccines, but I personally think it was because I noticed him start to slow down the 2nd year. I also think that the chewable flea & tick put him over the edge. I am grieved beyond measure, to think this could have been avoided, & am now looking for natural options for my dog.
    Thanks again.

Your last sentence, can you clarify... did you mean fully immune by 4 months? You said should be fully vaccinated. Also, my puppy is just 4 months now, should I never take him to a dog park? Or is there a time where he can go to one? I have been walking him since 10 weeks, I got him at 9 weeks. Side walks and parks that dogs walk through, as well as Deer. I started with short 5-10 minutes but now I'm up to 1 hour at 17 weeks. though the average is 30 minutes a day as he is a little dog, a Japanese Chin.

    • @tonyahoward3563
      @tonyahoward3563 2 роки тому +2

From this article the max you should be walking is just a little over 20 mins.
Except: “5. Exercise But With Limits
As we all know, puppies are full of energy, often able to run around like mad for hours if given the chance. However, overdoing it can stress his joints, so you want to make sure you regulate that activity.
Regular exercise will help him build his stamina to be able to handle much longer sessions as he grows.
5 minutes of exercise for every month of age
Take him out 2-3 times a day for short fun bouts of exercise
It’s better if you give him a bit of freedom by allowing this exercise fun to be off leash
Short walks are good too, but if he starts to sit down it’s time to rest
Use common sense. Don’t force your dog to keep going if he’s tired and don’t just let him run wild at full speed for hours on end
Remember, your puppy is a puppy. He relies on you to make smart decisions about his health and to keep him safe. Healthy choices when your dog’s a pup can make a huge difference as he grows and help give him a long and happy life. Raising a puppy takes work and often a lot of patience, but in the end it’s 100% worth it.”
This is the link to the article...which also discusses vaccines. (I’m guessing Dana means effectively vaccinated.)

We have an outbreak of parvovirus here in Bermuda. Apparently lots of young puppies are dying. The vets of course are saying it is due to puppies not being vaccinated. Any suggestions on how to explain to people that they shouldn’t run out and get vaccinated? I tell people they can do titer testing!

We have 3 dogs that came with their first set of vaccines… not my choice. But that’s all they’ve had. But then 2 of our dogs had a litter of puppies with eachother.. and we are keeping one. This puppy will not be vaccinated because now I have a choice. I cook my dogs meals, they are plantbased and each lots of lentils, whole grains, fruit and veggies. They are in great health. I’m curious to see what the length and health of their lives will be as they get older, especially our little unvaccinated pup. Thank you for putting this information out there. Not many people are educated on the dangers of vaccines in general. People generally vaccinate because they believe they are doing the best for themselves and their pets.

Carnivores eating a plant based diet. How abusive of you. Not only will they be undernourished, they will have the wrong GI flora and will suffer from GI pain and their immune system and nutrition will further deteriorate. You should not own dogs.

She means to say that if the puppy makes it to four months old with the exposure she suggested and unvaccinated, it will have gained the immunity it would have done from the vaccines anyway.

Sadly the rabies laws differ so much from state to state so we really couldn't say what would happen if your dog doesn't get it. I have attached a few articles here that may help you get some more information and make the best decision for your situation. Some legal information might have changed so please confirm everything with your local up-to-date laws and by-laws.
