Thanks for the video. In how many km we have to change the timing belt?
perfect, thank you
Your welcome! Good luck.
Thank you , a great help, and an illustration of how VW like to make things as complicated as possible! I wonder if you save any money doing it yourself, after buying the special tools. The Ford Ecotech engine, also DOHC, is a delight to work on compared to the VW TSi. Pity that they replaced it wit the French, much more complicated engine, complete with 2 belts in oil!
Well done, I`ve checked out your other videos, which are equally good. Could I suggest an introduction describing the job though?
That’s for your welcomed comments.
Could you please post a link to buy the blue tool to lock the camshafts.
I am not able to find it in the Euro Car Parts web site.
thanks
Found it on eBay. Check it out there’s a discount on it. It’s not a cheap kit but does the job proper. ebay.us/kpEzbW. Hope it helps you!

Is wet belt?
Yes it is. Check out the full job video link at the end of this video.
So you don’t have to remove the engine mounts when doing this job ?
Yes you do. This video is just demonstrates how to change the belt once everything is removed. You need to watch the complete timing belt video I made here. ua-cam.com/video/I9QL33Nldco/v-deo.htmlsi=nM-_ZSC_ZvMbJeCt
Can you support the engine from the bottom using a jack with a log ?or it must be supported from the top ?
