An idea for a new tradition, Stu. Get a new hat at the start of each backpacking trip, and retire it when you get back to your home base. #StuHatCollection =D
Yes I like the hat!! Good choice. So much “stuff”! I bet the tourists come with empty luggage I would! The money would be a problem for me to count the foreign currency quickly. Once on a Caribbean island I bought something and got change but got what they call “soft dollar” like limp and nobody wanted soft dollars. I was on a cruise ship and my soft dollars all 11 of them got promptly exchanged for hard dollars. 😂😂😂. They would outsmart me for sure. Great walk Stu. 👍🤩
Think you have answered my question now,Think I was given bad infomation when I was in Cambodia about 20 years ago,Im sure I was told the Central Market was the Russian Market, going to ask if you have ventured to The Heart Of Darkness bar/club ,was a bit of a wild joint when I visited
FYI - Visitors and foreign residents of Phnom Penh Cambodia should skip Central Market all together. Instead go to the Russian Market. The prices there are are substantially cheaper and less counterfeit products. At 17:00 , you buy a baseball cap for $3.50 after haggling At Russian Market, caps are $2-4 before haggling. Also, that vendor you bought the cap from is Vietnamese and not Khmer.
i love camboadia
Now that cap has got a peak mate 👀👍🏻😎
Proper peak:)
The thumbnail face is so funny 😂

Now that’s an idea… I probably would have a collection of retired hats by the time I give up travelling and become a grown up :)
I like this idea

Unfortunately my budget doesn’t get me out to the bars :/ It’s a bit tight at the moment!

Thank you for your advice for anyone else who will be coming to Phnom Penh :)
The exchange rate has been the same since 1994 , 4000 Riel to $ 1
Didnt it used to be called the Russian Market
No they're different sir
you need to take the label off the hat
Realised when I got back to the hostel! Ooops
Electronic goods in cambodian markets are all crap and only half decent if you buy from a brand shop.
I’ve learnt my lesson! The hard way :/
