Micah I really enjoy your work here and on your personal channel but I never wanna hear you apologizing for graphics; not the happy squirrel scale, not the mid cycle refresh graphic, none of it! Those graphics are a gift to the world.
Looked carefully at the 2018 Ford Edge Sport, the predecessor of the Edge ST, last year. It was impressive enough to rank second in my wife's and my assessment to the KIA Sorento we purchased. I liked the 2.7L twin turbo engine a lot. And I liked the overall size, passenger space, and overall cargo capacity of the Edge, identical in all those respects to the Sorento. Where it fell short was the "50 Shades of Gray" interior and the steep rake of the windshield combined with a dash wide enough to double as a picnic table. My wife complained it felt like she was piloting a very long outboard from the stern. Finally, the Sorento provides a usable third row of seats for occasional use that the Edge lacked. We don't use the third row much but it's a great convenience when we're chauffeuring a gaggle of teenage girls or need room for six passengers for a short trip that would otherwise require two vehicles. It's a major benefit considering that no extra bulk is a penalty and when the third row is folded, the cargo space is virtually identical to the Edge. For 2019 Ford has added some features to the ST compared to the Sport. I'm not convinced, though, that the changes are sufficient to merit a several thousand dollar increase in MSRP. The ST has an eight speed transmission replacing the Sport's six speed but I doubt that's a major upgrade. In fact, even with slightly better HP/torque in the engine and the new transmission, the ST is a somewhat slower than the Sport in standard 0-60 time. Ford claims sub-six second time but the Sport was in the low five second range. Blame increased weight and transmission programming I suspect. Ford claims much improved suspension but unless one is into canyon carving I'm skeptical that those changes are a big advantage in a vehicle used mainly in suburban traffic and long freeway slogs. One bright spot for the Edge Sport was the deal I was offered by a local Ford dealer, an $8000 discount from MSRP. (Essentially the same discount I got on the Sorento.) That brought the real world price down to $40K or so. I haven't shopped the 2019 ST but I suspect dealers might make deals close to that today. If that's the case and one is looking for a "performance" SUV, the ST is worth considering.
Much better review then “ TFL “ I own the 2019 Ford Edge ST and love it, However for a SUV it’s in a league of its own!, You can’t compare Ford Edge ST because it’s not a car! to the Fiesta ST and the Ford Focus ST because of the ST badging which is the wrong approach, Now compare the Ford Edge ST to other SUV on the market? How do you think the Ford Edge ST would do then for the same money?, For me this was the prefect vehicle because I didn’t need a F150 but I love the performance of the Mustang GT, The Ford Edge ST is prefect because it gives me the best of both worlds!, This is a good review I specially like that you showed that the rear seats recline well done!
2:07 my God the orange peel on all of these new cars these days is getting atrocious. It's amazing how much they're cheapening out on paint these days when cars from 10-20 years ago had cleaner factory paint jobs...
and yet they ask arm and a leg for them vehicles ?!!! makes me wonder. the consumer are the reason behind it . these Vehicles is going to be sold and a lot of people don't mind getting themselves in debt. for such price buying such quality. you know !!! 31K is the lowest for that Trim !!!
ihategooglespooks agree...nissan spent £10m upgrading the paint shop in the UK Sunderland plant for the soon to be discontinued Infiniti QX30/Q30...money well spent. Paint on that is glass smooth.
The only people who buy sedans these days are people who are looking for a 2-row SUV and get suckered by a salesman to “come look at this Accord, it’s $10,000 off msrp”
This video is exactly why I’m giving up on Fords. The liftgate didn’t work when he put his foot under it, the auto park feature just ran into the curb. My 2017 Ford Fusion Sport has auto up down windows but the driver window won’t go up now. It’s just ridiculous maybe they should go back to quality is job one.
He got a defective ford and you judge the entire company based on it. Face palm. I got a new Honda Civic touring last year and have had nothing but issues with it. Do I judge Honda for it? Nope. Sometimes cars just have issues
Ghost227 Really? Facepalm really? Did you not read that my Fusion has had nothing but trouble? Also my wife’s 2012 Ford Focus had nothing but transmission problems why don’t you look that up. It was a nightmare. Jesus maybe do some research before you just post your ridiculous retort.
Entertaining as always. I like the Edge over the new Escape but the price, sheesh. For some reason, the Edge doesn't look as big as its competitors, does it?
I think the front looks really good while the rear taillights aren't as attractive as the old one. The interior is also very outdated and needs to be redesigned entirely. I've never liked the two screens on either side of a giant speedo.
This is not one of my favorites mostly because of the better choices. I am officially spoiled and want Keyless Entry and Go now. I borrowed my partners brand New Santa Fe’ to run some errands (5 stops) and I had no idea how very Convenient this is. Why didn’t I wait until the 2018 Impala when it became Standard on every trim. That said, I have been impressed at the Impala’s ride and quiet cabin with it’s double layer glass and acoustic windshield but I think the Santa Fe has it beat in Ride and Quietness. I went over the same bumps and ruts and the Santa Fe took them very smoothly. And whisper quiet. I will now have to do a Decibel Test. I know the Impala at 50 mph is 69. That’s with a pano roof. You know what I am thinking don’t you? 2 Year itch to trade now. But to what? LoL Great fun testing the Auto Park feature Micah! Did I mention your last Micah Video was very cute with the clip of your precious little girl on the coaster. I wanted to squeeze her with love. 🥰
Well for one thing you kicked your foot under the car but you didn't get out of the way and that's why the hatch didn't open up until you moved out of the way
Why is the center stack full of icky cheap plastic ? For the ST, I'd expect more tasteful materials on the center stack, like red suede on the perimeter of the center stack, and aluminum trim on buttons.
Ford still has yet to master their electronic inefficient problems. Tailgate not responding to foot activation, self parking feature is inaccurate. You pay for the features and they don’t work. Why would I pay for this?
It's a shame they are getting rid of it just to ruin the ST name by slapping an appearance package on their SUVs plus another stupid carryover engine from a different Ford model.
What is faster, offers more cargo space + more fuel efficienct or offers more features for the price? Answer is nothing, that's why the new blazer only sold 3 thousand in the first quarter, compared to this edges 30 plus thousand.
God this subjective reviews are boring. Why is it that no one can copy motor trends formula? Give us a 0to60 run quarter mile timea at least brake performance and hell a lap time would be awesome!!! Objective infor come on guys copy motor trend
I spent more time looking for the mid cycle refresh graphic than watching the actual review
Mission accomplished!?
I like the edge ST.. The color is beautiful
Micah I really enjoy your work here and on your personal channel but I never wanna hear you apologizing for graphics; not the happy squirrel scale, not the mid cycle refresh graphic, none of it! Those graphics are a gift to the world.
You know what? You're right! The Micah Muzio Graphic Apology Tour is officially over.
The video intro needs a 'mid-cycle refresh':)))
Love the ST......more power !!!!
great review brother Micah ! im so happy it wasnt another kia review.

4:06 I am going to pass that cop... oh wait.

@ihategooglespooks I'm not good with spotting details. What's wrong with the paint?
@ihategooglespooks Thanks! I think I see the issues now. Hard for me to spot since I don't spend a lot of time looking at this kind of stuff.
ihategooglespooks very good explanation! To be fair that’s Ford for you 😂
ihategooglespooks agree...nissan spent £10m upgrading the paint shop in the UK Sunderland plant for the soon to be discontinued Infiniti QX30/Q30...money well spent. Paint on that is glass smooth.
inb4 mid-cycle refresh graphic timestamps.
I'd rather just have a $27K Focus ST, but wait, it's no longer available. Sad.....
Ford Escape!
Michael Chin Escapes only come with a 2.0L and they’re ugly as fuck.
The only people who buy sedans these days are people who are looking for a 2-row SUV and get suckered by a salesman to “come look at this Accord, it’s $10,000 off msrp”
@@matthewlocke9225 I wish Accords were $10K off. Not everyone wants a "SUV".
So the "MacGuffin MCRs" serves as metaphor of how hard someone would have to notice anything spectacular about the performance of the Ford ST. Got it!
4:10 Let the unannounced, in-the-field, testing of automatic emergency braking commence.
Haha right?
If Ford engineers just install the explorer sport engine that would make a great ST edge
I watch your videos even of cars I have no interest in buying just because they crack me up. Well done!
Love Micah! Good job, pal.

Just buy a expedition. Problem solved
Entertaining as always. I like the Edge over the new Escape but the price, sheesh. For some reason, the Edge doesn't look as big as its competitors, does it?
Howdy, great review as always!😸😻😸
Micah what Happened to the comfort index featuring that bunny/squirrel thing..... Bring it back.
How much??
when did they start putting bicycle tires on these cars?
i would love to see a vs video with the ford edge st and the chevy blazer rs

I have always loved the edge but it’s pretty outdated.

I watched the video 5 times to find all 19 mcr graphics 😂
Best car I have ever purchased. Had over 26 in 60years of motoring.
Can you please do the 2021 Volvo xc40!!!
I like the style and looks of the edge. The bigger power one is nice.
28MPG seems really crappy...?
thank you MCR Tally...u verified my guesseesssesss
Me: * hears Micah's voice * * reflexively hits the like button *
Awesome, now it looks like every other SUV.
We’ve been a Ford family for decades but in my opinion, a well appointed Passport kicks every vehicle’s a** in this segment!
Nope, sorry
It looks promising
@Jesus Zamora OMG I was about to write that BUT that was good Lol
Well for one thing you kicked your foot under the car but you didn't get out of the way and that's why the hatch didn't open up until you moved out of the way

Did you really tested the lane keep stuff behind the cop? God I have balls
I have found that Ford's foot-activated lift gate needs to detect you backing away from the car slightly in order to raise the door.
Please upload a vedio for Toyota hilux.
❤️
19?? I only got like 9
I coordinated with the editor and meticulously ensured all 19 were accounted for. I promise they're all there but some are super sneaky.
Best crossover “track car” under $600K! Engine is weak, however. Interior and center stack is retro back to 1990s too!
Can't wait for Model Y.
Ford best car))
Taurus WindStar
Ford if your reading this Recall my ford edge my transmission went out recall them IAM not the first person to complain
What year you have
Get an explorer, it’s simply a better car than edge.
I only saw 12 graphics
I swear there are 19.
Just bought a 2019 Ford Edge SEL and already hate it. Not smooth that's the problem.
Ford still has yet to master their electronic inefficient problems. Tailgate not responding to foot activation, self parking feature is inaccurate. You pay for the features and they don’t work. Why would I pay for this?
Upgrade to 4K cameras.
Think you for short videos, however some of your points are veg and hard to read, just tell it straight for Gods sakes
So it crashed ITSELF.
I hate the latest 4 turbo engines and suv/cuv trend.
Lol now Ford is going slap the ST badge on anything bc they decided to take the Focus away lol
It's a shame they are getting rid of it just to ruin the ST name by slapping an appearance package on their SUVs plus another stupid carryover engine from a different Ford model.
not worthy of the st badge.
Driven it, have you?
Why that face like old hyundai tucson...
Should’ve kept the Fusion and dropped this. Ugliest tail end ever
Interior look sooooooo outdated.....😱
Bruh, my 2018 v6 Tacoma has better mpg than this..
This thing has a very boring dash for an suv over 50k
Sad when a Corolla is nicer...
dygardion 91 then go buy a corolla, stoopid
Klay Curry I will
A hybrid one
its a fart..
Too expensive to be just a Ford...
What is faster, offers more cargo space + more fuel efficienct or offers more features for the price? Answer is nothing, that's why the new blazer only sold 3 thousand in the first quarter, compared to this edges 30 plus thousand.
dont hit it 😠😠
Rugged!!
