The Major is supposed to be the comic relief for the American scenes, but the one time he's involved in anything funny (that scene with the picture of Godzilla), he's the butt of the joke. The character himself bats a perfect zero. Anyway, I love this movie. Thank you for uploading these parts of it.
Oh I miss this version with Raymond Burr who came face to face with 1:22 Godzilla in 1954. “3:00 Old Steve Martin: 30 Years ago they never found any corpse.” Would I give for this Film to be released on DVD in America.
Whats really clever about the 1954 footage is all the footage of Godzilla you see is only when he was in the powerlines and briefly after. In the 1956 raymond burr film theres a couple camera men behind him when hes recording. Once godzilla gets into the city they all leave the building. All the footage they got is because those men left ran out of the building once Godzilla got past the powerlines. So we only see these shots.
2:56 I’m not sure if this line is implying the original Godzilla came back to life somehow or if it’s a new Godzilla I know in the film’s universe it’s a new Godzilla but this line in the American version seems a little odd considering his character witnessed the death of the first Godzilla
It's just an implication that it is the original Godzilla. However, their could be a multitude of possibilities of who THIS Godzilla is. Like maybe the nuclear radiation that woke up Godzilla in the first film gave him the power to slowly regenerate for 30 years.
It cut out the best part of the Fighter Attach scene when they are streaking in for the attack. For animation this is perhaps the best scene since it captures the intensity of the attack.
@@dragonfire1760 What the…?! 10 Months since your last comment & this 1985 Film staring & featuring 3:00 Raymond Burr who encountered The King of the Monsters from the original Black & White Film. In other words… 3:04 Godzilla. I hope there’s more copies where you got the DVD from.

Raymond Burr says they did not find a corpse.
But I did see Godzilla dissolve like an Alka-Seltzer. But in Hollywood they can do whatever they want.
That's only what Serizawa and the audience saw. Everyone above saw Gojira OG rise up out of the ocean, roar, and go back down.

Steve Martin never saw Godzilla die. He assumed that was what happened, but only Serizawa and the audience saw him turn to bones.
The audience sure as heck witnessed it! We saw Godzilla's skeleton.

I've been trying to get this movie. I saw it along time ago. But it's really hard to find

This movie does do a good job on how the US would respond if Japan had asked for help in dealing with Godzilla
They help a lot in Shin Godzilla. That’s where all the missiles and drones came from. The plan at the end would have failed without their help.
The question was how did he survive that building
Wow LOL cannot believe only four and a half minutes are allowed 💪😎📼

Will this version ever be released on DVD?
I would give a thing for this to be out on DVD In America. Especially when Raymond Burr said this. 3:00 “30 years ago they never found any corpse.”
If Toho has their way, it won't be. And they always get their way when it comes to their IP.
Good news! I finally got this version on DVD yesterday! I ordered it on Ebay!

so are these scenes from a early release, while modern releases have these scenes cut out?
Is this sourced from the laserdisc release?
No, this was from an old cable broadcast.
