Didn´t work for me. With the newest Fenix update still either white or black screens in the cockpit , no self-testing, nothing. Did five times a CLEAN install, problems the same! And of course, the Fenix App won´t start automatically...I had never Probs in V1, but V2B2 wrecked the whole aircraft. Tested the Aircraft in an empty community folder, still the same...no chance.
yes its in C:(windows)-windows.old-User-YOURNAME-Appdata-Roaming-MicrosoftFlightSimulator - u also can search...go to your Windows device. Than right above and search "simconnect"

Since the most recent update with the 19/20/21 the Fenix App will not launch when loading into a flight. I've checked everything you have gone through and it doesn't seem to work. Any ideas what may be causing this?
My Fenix Launcher even didnt start up anymore. Even when Im starting it manually. I tried out everything! Its really frustrating. Reinstalled, restarted my PC many times... Since MS24 is out nothing works anymore.
yeah been putting everything on ice since November 19th… fenix and msfs need to work hard next year if they wanna provide us with a good solution to this mess…
I haven't purchased the Fenix aircraft yet. Maybe one day I will. I have questions that will determine my choice (possibley) more quickly. What's the point of this external app? Does it check to verify your purchase? Does it check to see if your aircraft has actually been paid for? Does it connect to a 'required' web service in order to run? What happens if Fenix go out of business? Will the plane still work, and what guarantee do we have? ...so many questions with this type of addon for MSFS that 'requires' an executable addon to run.
To answer a few questions: the approach Fenix has taken is to run the Fenix systems outside the simulator to save generally resources within the sim. The app is the bridge between these external systems and the simulator. Without the app running you basically get the model which is in the sim but no functionality. What else the app is used for I don't know. You' ll need to be logged in with your account though. I do not see any bigger danger here since digital rights management is something all payware developers have enabled somehow. So your question is not related specifically to the Fenix but a general one.
Brilliant job Gav. Suddenly I got 'Red' notices saying no network coverage.....(My wonderful 'Starlink' said otherwise !!). Everything apart from Fenix working OK...just used your truly simple 'get-around'........flown 2 sectors and low and behold....no more 'Red' notices....genius!! Btw, as I haven't got GSX....must lay the origin of the problem at Fenix's door. Love you content and streams Gav....excellent Mate 👌👍
You are correct. The problem had was a MSFS issue, and because it only affected the Fenix, I assumed (incorrectly), that the fault lay with the Fenix. When I implemented the ‘fix’ that Gav suggested in the Fenix software and the problem disappeared………
I had similar issues last week in spite of the sim connect edit (I new about it earlier). Tech support suggestions didn't help. I ended up reinstalling the Fenix from a new download and now all is well (with the simconnect edit in place!). cheers.
I have had the same issues as you recently and it all started when GSX updated. Prior to that the App would launch properly either automatically or manually. So now my workflow is start MSFS. pick my airport and FENIX. go into windows taskbar and quit GSX. load into my airport with the FENIX get everything up and running. then restart the Coutal GSX shortcut on my desktop. That seems to be the only way to get it to load properly if you have GSX running.

Special question: What traffic injection are you using because the models are not just the fsltl models. Mine have black cockpit windows and look quite unrealistic because of that. Yours have actual class as the cockpit windows and overall seem much more realistic..

Hey everyone ive got an issue while my fenix is starting up msfs just decides to fully freeze and im forced to just ALT4 the game. Is there any way to fix that I couldnt find anything to help me fix it. If someone had this issue and knows how to fix it I would be very much grateful for any help!! :)
Ok, so it worked fine with the Block 1 release but now it returned with Block 2 while the settings are still on 128. Do you have any new solution under your sleeve?
Using the NWA "Orient" livery with the A320 CFM caused the plane to not be able to even load. The Fenix app launched, but the flight never got past the load screen.
I’m having a similar issue that my instruments are black screens, but that is in my a321neo. I don’t know what else to do because that isn’t fenix. (I do have the horizon simulations addon)
I've actually quit flying the Fenix A320 due to all the stupid bugs (buttons not working, screen issues, livery issues, AP auto shutting off, and more). I'm sticking with the reliable FBW A320, but will make the file change recommended.
@@OrganAviator you don't. GSX is realistic, it will use real life pushback procedures for the specific airport you are in. There is no need to plan anything since Pushback are very well coded in real world

The Fenix app has never loaded automatically for me, I must always start it at load-in to the sim. I have looked at the app and also the EFB and I see nothing to select or enable auto-loading the app at aircraft loading. Did I miss a step somewhere? ***EDIT*** It really doesn't really even matter now, it will not start at all, after many restarts in all sorts of methods. Back into the hanger it goes, at least FBW works, and works well for that matter.
I been having an issue where when I fly the Fenix and using GSX to pushback the plane. The plane wont move. Even after releasing the parking brake and double checking in the EFB the chocks did not get set as well.

Hi Gavin - since I am using the Frame Gen Mod the fenix keeps freezing in the loading screen and won't even load in the sim. Does anyone else has the issue to or a solution to it?

I leave fenix for a while, and came back after v2, but seems liveries are managed in a new way after the update, is there a way or instructions how to install them? Just an example I found a KML fictional for fenix a320, says "compatible with V2" but has no idea how to install it... thanks in advance!!
Did that but it didn't help. Whenever I load the Fenix A320 the fenix.exe briefly opens but then closes to the tray. When I move my mouse over the icon it disappears. The EFB in the bus shows the dreaded red triange and tells me that it can't connect. I did contact Fenix but they seem to be at a loss too. I put a number of exceptions into my antivirus and I ran MSFS with only the Fenix A320 in the community folder but that didn't do the trick. The windows event log says it's a kernel error. Any ideas? Anyone?

@@TheAviationLads I've had the same issue - it was cured with a complete removal and re-installation of the Fenix from a fresh download - effectively starting from scratch again.
Unfortunately it didn’t work for me in changing the values. I even went back in to make sure I hadn’t missed any values to change. When I was selecting the Fenix a320 and selecting my departure point, while msfs then loaded it didn’t auto start the Fenix program,so once in the sim the plane was dead. However if I started the fenix program before going into msfs then everything loaded fine. To save me the hassle of having to do this in the future I did a little search on the internet on how to auto start a program in windows 11, due to the fact startup wasn’t showing Fenix as a program to start. the information to make windows 11 auto start a program at startup is. Use the Windows key+R keyboard combination to open the Run dialog box. Enter shell:startup to open the Windows 11 startup folder. Right-click in the folder > select New > Shortcut > Browse > New > Finish to add a new startup program. This has worked for me. once my pc boots up the fenix program loads to which i just minimise it and it sits in my taskbar. then all is well. hope this helps anyone?
I sometimes do have those problems, however I usually just open the fenix application myself and click on the new start button in the pause menu… works for me 🤔
The Fenix app not starting can also be bcause the exe.xml file has somehow been corrupted. It's located in the same place as the simconnect.xml file. It contains info on all the add-ons that should be started with MSFS. I had that problem just yesterday. After restoring a backup of that file it worked perfectly again. So do your self a favor and take a backup of that file. As a minimum before you install new add-ons, such as the Fenix, GSX, FSRealistic, TDS GTNXi, VDGS drivers a.s.o.
thats because every one blames gsx when they have issues, never had any issues with fenix or any other addon , users cant be bothered to read the pdf that comes with gsx to make sure how it works and what setting they need to have.
@@Easyjetsimpilot of course it's a coincidence. The problem is, GSX is updated so often (over the last year, with an average of about 9 days between each update) that every other issue you might notice in the sim is likely to happen "after a GSX update". Fortunately, in addition to various users here that confirmed the problem happened even without GSX, the way you fixed definitely proved it wasn't GSX, once again.
Unfortunately does not work for me. It was working fine before MSFS updates. I added GSX and Fenix2gsx and that's when all the problems started. **Update: I have somehow used your workaround, but I still need to manually start the Fenix app for some reason. I haven't done a complete flight yet, but so far it appears to work with at least two different liveries. Hopefully this gets resolved in a future update.
That's a good reason NOT to buy the Fenix, I'll stick with FBW A320 and save £50 you should NEVER need to start a separate program, on your PC just to use an aircraft you have spent a small fortune on, it should just integrate into the simulator.
The FBW A32N is an excellent aircraft and I enjoy flying it from time to time, although it for sure is lacking a lot of depth in system and failure simulation compared to the Fenix Airbus. But whats more important here is that it needs to run their simbridge application in the background in order to get all features to work properly (like terrain radar). And that app is also known for trouble sometimes, like extreme memory usage or high CPU usage, even after the Sim has already been closed etc etc. It is just fair to mention I believe 🙂

To enjoy this aircraft and any other aircraft in the sim (integrated or not), you should NEVER run programs in the background like Navigraph Charts, FSUIPC, FSTL Traffic, XEnviro, FSRealistic, Self Loading Cargo, PACX, FSIPanel, GSX, SkyDolly, REX Weather Force, Flight Recorder, Stream Deck, Simlink, and Little NavMap ......... am I right?

I can't seem to find the folder in appdata/local/packages for a Steam intallation, is it in a different place?

Remember, that GSX update hasn't caused the issue for lots of people and may simply have been a coincidence on my side.

I would reinstall the Fenix aircraft completely, then apply this fix and you should be all working then.

Tried this and worked first time, now back to signing in every time fenix loads... wonder what it is?
I been having an issue where when I fly the Fenix and using GSX to pushback the plane. The plane wont move. Even after releasing the parking brake and double checking in the EFB the chocks did not get set as well.
Try tapping the rudder pedal brakes (if you have them) and that you don't have NW STEER DISC showing on the ECAM.

Try using a 4K model that’s what I do the standers 8k or it may be 2k and 4K use the lowest value for me the higher value makes it to laggy

@@mgkkosacof507 they should be installed the same way, however the Fenix model has had a lot of changes so might no longer be compatible.

Are you pushing for managed speed by any chance? And not activated the APPR PHASE in the MCDU?

hey man, howd you get window views on the fenix a320? because if i go in showcase camera it only shows 10 cameras that are (outside) the plane
These are custom camera views. You can walk out the cockpit and set these up.

I restart Fenix and it works every time. No hit and miss.
Paying good money for this fenix A320 and then having to go and find and edit code is really not good enough.

Can’t you simply start the app before launching the sim? Or starting the flight?

Having the same issue but my MSFS is Steam and on a Seperate Hard Drive and i cannot locate the Cache File can u Help ??
Its ok i found it it is on C Drive My MSFS is on my E Drive. simconect is located user/name/appdata/roaming/Microsoft Flight Simulator
And it all Works Fine Now.😃

I sometimes do have those problems, however I usually just open the fenix application myself and click on the new start button in the pause menu… works for me 🤔
GSX doesn’t even recognized the Felix as a MSFS Aircraft and the light on the Simbrief on the bottom does not turn green!
Make sure in simbrief when you select airframe you select A320-200 , I was having same problem but fine now .

Never start the Fenix app before you start the sim. Fenix will load on it's own, it works perfectly every time.

I have managed to resolve this issue by running both Ms2020 and the Finex app in administrator mode.

The Fenix app not starting can also be bcause the exe.xml file has somehow been corrupted. It's located in the same place as the simconnect.xml file. It contains info on all the add-ons that should be started with MSFS. I had that problem just yesterday. After restoring a backup of that file it worked perfectly again. So do your self a favor and take a backup of that file. As a minimum before you install new add-ons, such as the Fenix, GSX, FSRealistic, TDS GTNXi, VDGS drivers a.s.o.

thats because every one blames gsx when they have issues, never had any issues with fenix or any other addon , users cant be bothered to read the pdf that comes with gsx to make sure how it works and what setting they need to have.
The fix in this video, in addition to several other users commenting it happened without GSX installed, literally proved it wasn't GSX, once again.
It has nothing to do with GSX, it's still there even without GSX.

The problem is, GSX is updated so often (over the last year, with an average of about 9 days between each update) that every other issue you might notice in the sim is likely to happen "after a GSX update". Fortunately, in addition to various users here that confirmed the problem happened even without GSX, the way you fixed definitely proved it wasn't GSX, once again.
This latest update is a joke, what a waste of time em money with this shi* flight model. The flare is ridiculous. I'm flying the 146 version again.

Unfortunately does not work for me. It was working fine before MSFS updates. I added GSX and Fenix2gsx and that's when all the problems started.
**Update: I have somehow used your workaround, but I still need to manually start the Fenix app for some reason. I haven't done a complete flight yet, but so far it appears to work with at least two different liveries. Hopefully this gets resolved in a future update.

That's a good reason NOT to buy the Fenix, I'll stick with FBW A320 and save £50 you should NEVER need to start a separate program, on your PC just to use an aircraft you have spent a small fortune on, it should just integrate into the simulator.
The FBW A32N is an excellent aircraft and I enjoy flying it from time to time, although it for sure is lacking a lot of depth in system and failure simulation compared to the Fenix Airbus. But whats more important here is that it needs to run their simbridge application in the background in order to get all features to work properly (like terrain radar). And that app is also known for trouble sometimes, like extreme memory usage or high CPU usage, even after the Sim has already been closed etc etc. It is just fair to mention I believe 🙂

To enjoy this aircraft and any other aircraft in the sim (integrated or not), you should NEVER run programs in the background like Navigraph Charts, FSUIPC, FSTL Traffic, XEnviro, FSRealistic, Self Loading Cargo, PACX, FSIPanel, GSX, SkyDolly, REX Weather Force, Flight Recorder, Stream Deck, Simlink, and Little NavMap ......... am I right?
had a good laugh when i read this lol good one, there are plenty of other addons that run outside the sim, dont you think this is a better of freeing up the sim resources etc
