WinWing for the Win for sure.... I have the FCU and EFIS and it provides amazing emersion within the Sim with zero technical issues. Regarding the up and coming MCDU I'm confident the compatibility aircraft issues Gavin mentioned will be resolved when officially released or soon after. For the price it's a steal and I will be purchasing day one when available on the store!
Can’t wait to buy it. For me, FCU and EFIS were just plug & play. Zero problems For me it’s the 1st choice Single USB cable is a game changer, no FPS hit
Back in the day the cost for one of these could run around a thousand dollars. For this price it is an amazing value. As our hobby moves more mainstream these kinds of products are becoming increasingly affordable. Love it!!
Can’t wait for the radio, Transponder, and audio panels they’ve announced! Just need an overhead panel and I do wonder if a throttle / flap / brake quadrant is on the way down the line
" Will You Be Buying The Winwing MCDU" Absolutely !! For me its a no brainer, I have the FCU and the L+R EFIS so this will be a superb addition. BTW I use SPAD neXt to configure all my hardware addons and that includes Winwing products. Thanks for the review of the product. 🙂
I asked winwing about compatibility of the MCDU with the inibuilds and FBW airbus and they said that at launch it was only the Fenix but all of the ones I’d asked about were on the development plan and would follow after launch although they didn’t go as far to give a timeline.
I’m sure they will make it compatible with other variants, the EFIS and FCU were also like this when originally released, definitely getting in line for the MCDU
Nice, definitely getting one (if i am quick enough) they need an overhead panel next with a stand/bracket that attaches to the back of your desk and sits above your monitor at an accessible price. Imagine that!
I have the FCU, both EFIS units and the Ursa Minor, and I cannot overstate how happy I am with them. I am drooling waiting for the MCDU. Would it be unethical to buy two?… 😂
There's no doubt, with their aggressive/disruptive pricing, and excellent quality, WinWing 100% will capture the market here for almost 100% of flight simmers. I do, however, like the idea of changeable faceplates, it's just that the manufacturer of that product is pricing it waaay outside what would be regarded as competitive. My ideal manufacturer would release MCDU, FCU, EFIX, etc etc all with changeable faceplates, and, crucially, at WingWing's prices. As things are, it most definitely is WinWing for the Win.
I totally agree with the quality of Winwing products for the price but what lets them down is very poor Customer Service and absolutely awful logistics. Obviously as a streamer you got the FCU quickly but bear in mind this is not the norm. I have now been waiting over 6 weeks for the EFIS combo showing as “Available Item” from their UK store and all I get from CS is the delivery company is overwhelmed due to the season! Also the “pre order” system then the 48 hour payment window is another issue I have with them particularly the payment being taken immediately instead of at time of dispatch and after all that no indication of a delivery timescale.
I got my FCU within 4 days (in the UK). From what I hear, the delivery times vary massively from person to person, but I haven't quite figured out why. I think it might be that if you pre-order or get an item from the international store, it takes ages, but if you wait till it's fully out and in stock from the UK store, it comes fast.
@@mdhazeldineI pre ordered when they said it would be available in the UK store from 30th December, I just can't get my head around that they don't keep you updated
Looks fantastic. The only extra thing I could wish for is a mount that hinges so you can change the angle or fold it flat for storage, because at this price, I'm probably going to end up buying some Boeing ones too, and will want to swap and change them. First world problems. haha. Question for you Gav: Do you know how they are displaying the info on the screen? Is it like an undocked screen from the sim, or are they getting a data feed and then re-presenting it with their own software? What I'm wondering is if this MCDU is a 100% 1-1 representation of all the Fenix screens, and what if they add a new screen down the road, will the Winwing automatically display it straight away, or would we have to wait for Winwing to update their software to match?
Im definetly going to order 2, one for the A320 and another for the 737 as I'm sick and tired of the double sided arrow issue while clicking on the mcdu
For what it's worth, that double-sided arrow issue is caused by GSX. It's like a "ghost" window. If you open GSX you'll notice the edge of its window is exactly where the arrows are. You can try moving the GSX window somewhere else before closing it, so at least the arrows will appear somewhere other than your MCDU. Hope that helps!
@AaronHastings Thank You bro..I did read it's a GSX issue but I keep forgetting to move the GSX window ...ill keep this in mind next time it happens..thank you
Getting it as soon as it is available, already have the FCU and EFIS, not sure why you have issues with the software? It has always worked fine for me.
looks very good, thanks for sharing :) could you share measurements of the unit without the brackets? i already have a 3D-printed center pedestal of some sort, and would like to incorporate the MCDU in it only if you have time, that is :) thanks and happy landings
I will definitely be getting a mcdu hopefully dont have to wait a long time to get it, be me thinks this will sell like hot cakes, just like the rest of airbus kit from winwing
WinWing winning all the way. Already own the EFIS and FCU and this is the next natural progression. My only concern is the longgevity of the products..would they still be up to scratch 2/3 years down the track? only time will tell.
Only concern I have is the tactile push of the buttons - spongy and not more direct like a solid click using a plastic button - maybe I'm over thinking it as I dont have one - maybe someone could chime in on this
Most of the solutions I've seen use a virtual display and you have to pop out the MCDU display from the aircraft. I wonder what kind of black magic they're doing here.
Looks good but no 777 at launch 🚀 I wanted to order a trifecta mcdu 737 and 777… plus always having to swap units . I may just get a pucdu on their sale while all the vultures are fighting over these on a preorder.. 1 device that just needs a keypad swap vs swapping devices every time you change planes ✈️ seems much more preferable at this point even if it’s a little more expensive
Who is the best Airbus hardware producer? At this price, this is not a question: Winwing. I have both the FCU and the EFIS side panels; they were plug-and-play. They work with the FBW A320neo in MSFS2020 and the iniBuilds A330 in MSFS2024. I expect the MCDU will be plug-and-play with the firmware/SimAppPro software updates when released. Why do I have Winwing? Price is one thing for sure, but the 1:1 ratio and the build quality are the principal drivers. The ONE issue I had was zero instructions regarding the mounting brackets (which was a HUGE pain for both the EFIS and FCU), but if there are instructions with the MCDU, this will be far easier to install. I suggest using a powerful USB hub. These products suck power, and your USB connections off the back of your computer won't handle them, AND any other peripherals you use. Get a GOOD USB hub (Anker is what I use), and you should be OK with additional USB connections. I can't wait for it to come out for pre-order next week. It will be an instant purchase.
Looks good and will most likely try to get one... just concerned about how long it will take them to actually ship them. I've been waiting over 2 months now for them to ship my EFIS (that's with them having taken the payment!!) When I chase them all I get is due to courier shipping limits things are taking longer... However, it is "in stock" on their UK website and it's way past Christmas courier restrictions now... Good products for great price... Terrible customer service IMO.
Keep in mind that you can get the airbus AND Boeing versions for cheaper than the other one with just a single faceplate and then each is the actual size and you don't need hdmi.
WinWing have demonstrated that sim hardware of the past was always ludicrously expensive. They were an unbelievable rip off. How is it they managed to be both ridiculously expensive but still nothing approaching the quality of WinWing's products? The answer is simply exploitation of the ignorant and gullible. There are still companies who are offering (for example) rather ordinary GA panels which consist of a cheap, flat aluminium panel with a couple of GPS screens and a few buttons for over $15,000. I hope they all go out of business or very quickly adjust their prices downwards. Well done WinWIng!

WinWing can capture the desktop market
- Overhead panel
- G1000
- Adaptable panel to mount touch panel (s), G1000, EFIS and FCU
- Pedistal for MCDU, touch panel, future WW hardware :-)

i got the FCU a few months ago not trouble just installed SIM APP Pro went into the sim and it connected straight to the Fenix A320
