Anyone can cover SLTS power chords and screeching vocals in all that. But a truly great cover maintains the feeling of the original but the distinct personality of the one who’s cover it is infused with it. Hendrix did it with Watchtower, Cash with Hurt, and safe to say Patti Smith really made Kurt’s song into her own. Good stuff
