I have the Network Multifamily system, it keeps beeping with the service required orange light on, I tried to find the guide online but did not find it, I went ahead and ordered the same battery that is currently used. hopefully that will fix the issue.
Great video!!! Very detailed! After I replaced the battery the trouble light went off but he chime when I open a door or window that usually on is not now. What to do now. Please instruct! Thank you.
+Simon Yam I have changed mine twice already and never had any problem. You might want to google your model of alarm and see if anyone had this problem before. Or try disconnect all power (AC and DC battery) and then power again and see if that helps.,
Thanks for this video. We have the exact same keypad and battery panel. I replaced my battery yesterday and followed your instructions but the system lit led doesn't turn off. Do I need at least 24 hours for this battery to be charged?
+sigzor302620 Is the trouble code still pointing to a low battery problem? It shouldn't take that long to clear because the alarm system actually only checks the voltage and the charging current. Maybe try removing the battery and check the voltage with a multimeter, and then reinstall. I hope it's not the circuit board that is going bad. These alarms are not really serviceable.
Everything is fine on my system now. This was an extremely helpful video explaining all the parts involved. I learned a lot from it. Thank you so much.
I replaced my standby battery but I continue to get the "low battery" trouble. I did measure the new battery and it was reading 13.8V Duracell 12V/5Ah. I have a DSC 832. Is there a way I could "clear" the trouble manually?
After power off, changing the battery, and setting time date, "service" light stays on. (No siren). "*2" gives "1 - System Fault" which gives "3 - Box Tamper". Indeed, I have a switch on the box. But the box is closed now. Why the "service" light is on? How to reset it? "*7" does not help.
Thanks for this video! It helped me change my battery even 8 years after you posted it lol
Nice video. So our alarm not working at the moment cause the back up battery died too?
Thanks for the info
Life saver! Thank you man!
Just 1 question, will the system still work without any backup battery connected ?
Thank you!
Thank you very much for informative video.
Thanks for the video. I was wondering if you switched off the mains before changing the battery?
Chee Yee Fong Not necessary to turn off main power as the battery serves as a backup battery and begin charging once you plug it in.
+dial2fast are you still answering questions?
