Finally a proper review for the Nikki set. Not to poopoo on the others but you are the only one who made the observation with the eye brushes going from blender to smudger with no in between. I love that your reviews are so in depth. Thank you 😊
Today at work we were reviewing mindfulness/desk exercise/meditation videos to share with our team this week for Wellness Wednesday. One of them was one of your Stretchit videos. I yelled out “OMG I know her! I watch her makeup videos!” I sounded like Buddy from Elf, when he heard Santa was coming! LOL
I have the new WG eye set, I love the pointed brushes because it's precise, and I have hooded deep set eyes. Once they come back in stock, I want to get another of both pointed brushes.
Oh when you do pick up Wayne’s First Edition Collection, you will no doubt love it as much as I do. However, I am seriously bias to Goss brushes, as an owner of essentially all of Wayne’s launches including multiples of many and of course all of his past holiday brushes. Your reviews are always entertaining and helpful. HappyHolidays!
The new Wayne set is very good. I got the full set. And yes it was a LOT of money. I have the Sonia G blue set and Rae Morris brushes and a lot of individual brushes from various brands but this is the set I use most now. And many cheap brands have one or two super brushes that just work the best for certain things. But the quality of the WG set is beautiful - I washed the foundation brush and it didn't change at all. The pointed eye brushes are fantastic!!
Its good but not as good as I expected - I still like my cheap Real Techniques Sculpting Brush for blush application - but then agsin I like a lot of blusher :) @@aliciaarcher
You are the MASTER of makeup brushes & I love watching you use your tools to create beautiful looks, Alicia!! Also, money is tight for us all so great job resisting Sephora sale 😊❤
Love love love love the brush demo and info!! I love my Wayne, Sonia, Chikuhodo, BK Beauty, etc brushes so much. But I love them even more as I'm learning how to use them better. Thank you so much!!
@@whatsupbeautyl ai commander aussi car sa vidéo m’a conquise et décidée car je doutais vu en ai beaucoup , mais elle est différente et j adore maintenant me réjoui de la recevoir vu je viens de commander 😊❤😊❤
Making my gumbo roux and listening to you! ❤ I just bought a few Sonia G brushes… thank you for the review of them! Your final eye look is lovely! The palette on my list to buy but I’m on the fence.
Stunning eye looks! I do really wish that this palette would have had a rich forest or hunter green matte to go with both the gorgeous green duo/multichrome green shades as well as to replicate the *jawdropping* outer packaging. The artwork of the up close dragon face profile is to die for!
I do own the new eye set from Wayne goss. I can tell you although they are pointy even after you wash them they are so soft almost silky but with it's design so fast and simple to create gradient looks. They fit perfectly in the socket and the thickness towards the base helps create a blend upwards instead of doing so much upper blending motions. I hope I explain this well it is almost 2am when I am watching this video and commenting 😅😂
I started using only all natural organic Rose hip seed oil on my face and it is flawless and perfectly moisturized. Although of course it does nothing for my enlarged pores But it’s great for all skin types and not at all expensive! 🥰
That’s funny, the one I buy has a very faint smell . Vaseline contains petroleum doesn’t it. It’s been long since discovered that that’s not a good product for the skin. Vitamin E oil is also a good option. Not trying to tell you what to do, just a suggestion to perhaps look into it. Love your vids.😊
It took me forever to watch this video because I'm having a mental break trying to reduce my 4 foot closet into 18" LOL I even have tiered hangers! I just have so many dresses and cardigans. 🤦🏽♀️ I haven't finished the makeup! On my journey, I will be exploring a variety of workshops. I would love to find a fude workshop. Even if it takes me two hours to make a single brush I wouldn't care. I want to make one!
I have eczema & rosacea which makes my skin hyper sensitive. It won't even tolerate HA. I stopped using any actives or exfoliants & only use a very basic, gentle watercream (super inexpensive from the Inkey List) My skin is now on the dry side (with age & living in an arid climate) but I would still get milia(especially if I use silicone heavy products) & under the skin bumps & cysts. as well as gunky nose pores. Differin gel has been an amazing product for me in that regard. It also helps with inflammation & scarring. I rarely need my Rx for rosacea anymore. It could be a good product for you (you could even spot treat with it I think) But yeah, I think some people overdo skincare. It's nice to go makeup free & product free & just leave your skin alone for a while.
I have eczema as well, and ever since I stopped using body lotion it has improved. Tough now because my skin is super dry, so I use Vaseline to help mitigate the dryness. I’m not sure if I’ll keep doing this forever, but I learned that less is definitely more when it comes to skincare.
My BK A506 has one very prickly bit, I prefer he Sonia Jumbo Worker. The N14 & 16 are intriguing. I regret not geting the WG Artist lg & med. I have the small one and love it for spot and under eye powder - don't use it with eyeshadow. I'll get the new pointy WG eye brushes as I have hooded eyes.
Lisa J mentioned the brushes from the collab and the core line are handmade. I couldn’t find anywhere this was mentioned on their website but she mentioned this in the collab reveal video on her channel :)
I really hope Beautylish send you Wayne's new brushes. I have all of them & he wasn't kidding when he said they are so, so soft. As someone who jas a lot of fude I am not disappointed & am considering picking up the reaming 2 brushes.
Alicia - loving your channel thank you 💗and hope you're having a relaxing Thanksgiving... may I ask a favour please (when you're back).... could you let me know what you think about how the Rephr #01 brush compares with both the Sonia G Worker M and Worker S please? I have the Rephr 01 and I'm wondering if I should invest in a Sonia G worker as well, or whether they are pretty much the same brush. Appreciate your thoughts, when you get a moment. Thank you so much! Helen (in the UK) xx
Hi Helen! I hope you’re having a relaxing holiday as well 🥰 The Rephr 01 is a little longer, and thinner than both of Sonia’s Worker brushes. The worker brushes are more dense, and wider than Rephr 01. The Rephr 01 is longer, and comes to a slight taper at the top.
Have been along time subsriber of your videos and love your videos and highly appreciate your opinions and critics. I'm glad some one else is having a moment here with the music. Its quiet catchy and like it that you still use it. Its like your signature!@@aliciaarcher
I don’t! In summer however when I found myself under high exposure, I did. Or I’ll wear my UPF treated sun brim. Now I just avoid the sun, or if some light hits my face it’s for a short time.
@@aliciaarcher Thank you for replying. I'm very interested to follow your skin journey with this. As someone with fair dry skin who lives in Australia, I can't imagine not wearing moisturizer or sunscreen, but I do think too many actives can upset the skin. I do believe that often less is more!
With the prices for food and rent I don’t blame you for wanting to get the items in PR. Brands should always be sending you PR. They make tons of money off of your reviews and a huge traffic.
I did purchase the whole Wayne Goss set. My E2 smaller crease brush is not as pointed as it was before my wash. The E1 large one is still somewhat pointed. E1 feels stiffer than E2. I havent quite figured out how i will use E1. Its too stiff and pointed for blending, kinda too large for my crease. The F2 face brush isn't as stiff as i thought it was going to be, was hopingti use for contouring, but kinda too soft for it. But F3 powder brush is stiffer than i expected, hard to use for all over powder. And the E5 pencil is smaller, stiffer and more pointed than expected. I have only washed them all once abd used twice. These are a few of my first impressions. They are very very soft, no regrets, just different than what i am used too. And just need more time to figure them all out
Ah ok-I’ll keep those in mind. I was curious about the pointed blenders in regards to their movement potential. The thick base led me to believe that there was limited fluidity, but I’m curious to try it!
You touched on very good point not everything made in Italy is equally good , in the last few years the Chinese bought lots of fashion and makeup manufactures in Italy and in my humble opinion what is made in these facilities not much better then what is made in China they focus on mass production not on quality
Right, and I also hear about this in regards to high fashion. Many of these luxury brands don’t hold the same standards like they used to, and mainly want to shift the focus to targeting the masses.
This is ONE time where I’m more obsessed with the packaging than the shadows! 🐉 😆
They killed it with the packaging, yes! 🤣
