I'm probably wrong, but my general rule of thumb in determining the difference between the green and yellow categories, is that the shortest words are usually the yellow category. And now, I will undoubtedly be proven wrong in the not too distant future. Ah, well..
I also have a theory that is right probably less than 50% of the time that the green is more likely to be a series of similarly grouped nouns that describe objects and the yellow is more likely to be grouped verbs, ideas, or concepts. That makes green more likely to be confused for blue, which is often where they put the “trivia” category.
Not true. There are categories that are yellow are longer than any other color. The general rule is that yellow is just synonyms while green is little bit more lateral. Sometimes, synonyms. So that's why it's hard to pick up which is yellow and green.
