Did no one else (mainly the people that were mad) see that this was different because of April 1st? Anyway this was by far my favourite, got the homophones straight away! Could not see the movies but they were left till last anyway…
Homophones drove me crazy. I saw I, U and B immediately but the Saw and Teapot emojis weren't loaded for me so I had to inspect elements then copy paste them into google just to see them and assumed the teapot was a kettle from the limited glance I gave it because I didn't want to google the exact name of the emoji (wasn't sure if it'd give me too much of a hint or not). Ended up giving up before remembering T does in fact have a homophone. This completely blinded me from the obvious rhyming words right in front of me
Actually, they might not have used the explicit ewe emoji--I can't post the screenshot here, but there were definitely horns on my display of the emojis
It's still a solid call that they wouldn't use the visuals of the emojis themselves, since a lot of emojis look different depending on what platform you're looking at.
I had the worst time figuring out what the bacon one was. It was as abstract as you can get on my laptop, just some wiggly red and white lines. It actually looked like a stack of poker chips until I zoomed way in and saw that it was two pieces.

And then when the game _tells_ me the category, I still think "I never knew that and would never have been able to put those words together were it not for process-of-elimination".
I find this a lot with some of the easier ones, where they’ll involve slang that’s super specific to North America that I’m completely unfamiliar with, and so I end up getting the “harder” ones much more easily.

@@zmaj12321 Oh, I think I know what you're talking about, but it's not a strong cultural reference where I'm from; I think I only learned about it in my early twenties (whereas the Kevin McAllister face is a childhood classic haha).

Linguistically, the emoji keyboard is basically just a pictographic/ideographic written language. If you're inclined to be a visual thinker or more imaginative person I can definitely see how it may have been really intuitive!
I don't think that many people where complaining about it being pictures. People were complaining because a lot of people who play on a PC didn't get all the emojis to work with. The most common problem was the teapot and saw were blank. I only got 6 black and white pictures, and the other 10 squares were blank.
I watched “Black Sheep” for the first time while on vacation with my parents in the late 2000’s, I must have been about 15 at the time. We were staying at a friend’s house in Ireland, and pulled the DVD out of a bargain bin at a local shop, bringing it home without realizing what we had signed up for. Nearly two decades later we still talk about this movie, and we’ve even re-watched it a few times since. I hope you watch it, and enjoy all the camp silliness just as much as we did ❤
